< Nnwom 41 >
1 Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Dawid dwom. Nhyira ne onipa a mmɔborɔni asɛm ho hia no; Awurade gye no wɔ amanehunu bere mu.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David himself. Blessed is he who shows understanding toward the needy and the poor. The Lord will deliver him in the evil day.
2 Awurade bɛbɔ ne ho ban na wakora ne kra; obehyira no wɔ asase no so; ɔrennyaa no mma nʼatamfo apɛde.
May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth. And may he not hand him over to the will of his adversaries.
3 Awurade bɛhwɛ no wɔ ne yare mpa so na wagye no asi hɔ.
May the Lord bring him help on his bed of sorrow. In his infirmity, you have changed his entire covering.
4 Mekae se, “Ao Awurade hu me mmɔbɔ; sa me yare, efisɛ mayɛ bɔne atia wo.”
I said, “O Lord, be merciful to me. Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”
5 Mʼatamfo de adwene bɔne ka fa me ho se: “Da bɛn na obewu ama ne din ayera?”
My enemies have spoken evils against me. When will he die and his name perish?
6 Bere biara a obi ba me nkyɛn no, ɔka atosɛm, na ne koma hɔre dinsɛe; ofi adi kɔ a, ɔde kodi nseku.
And when he came in to see me, he was speaking emptiness. His heart gathered iniquity to itself. He went outside, and he was speaking in the same way.
7 Mʼatamfo nyinaa keka asomsɛm fa me ho; wosusuw bɔne ma me na wɔka se:
All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.
8 “Ɔyare bɔne bi abɔ no; ɔrensɔre mfi nea ɔda hɔ bio.”
They established an unjust word against me. Will he that sleeps no longer rise again?
9 Mpo me yɔnko pa ara a mede me ho too no so, nea me ne no too nsa didii no, asɔre atia me.
For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has greatly supplanted me.
10 Nanso wo, Awurade, hu me mmɔbɔ; ma me so, na mintua wɔn so ka.
But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again. And I will requite them.
11 Minim sɛ wʼani sɔ me, na me tamfo renni me so nkonim.
By this, I knew that you preferred me: because my adversary will not rejoice over me.
12 Me nokwaredi mu, wukura me mu na wode me gyina wʼanim afebɔɔ.
But you have sustained me, because of my innocence, and you have confirmed me in your sight in eternity.
13 Nhyira nka Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, nnɛ ne daa nyinaa.
Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for all generations and even forever. Amen. Amen.
