1 Dawid dwom. Sɛ misu frɛ wo a, gye me so, me trenee Nyankopɔn. Ma me ɔhome wɔ mʼahohia mu; hu me mmɔbɔ na tie me mpaebɔ.

2 Enkosi da bɛn na mobɛdan mʼanuonyam ahohora? Enkosi da bɛn na mobɛdɔ nneɛma hunu na moadi ahoni ahuhuw akyi?
Ye sons of the great! how long, turning my glory to contempt, will ye love emptiness, will ye seek falsehood? (Selah)
3 Hu sɛ Awurade ayi nea ɔwɔ nyamesu ama ne ho; Awurade betie, sɛ misu mefrɛ no a.
Know ye, then, that Yahweh hath set apart the man of lovingkindness for himself: Yahweh, will hear, when I cry to him.
4 Sɛ mo bo fuw a, monnyɛ bɔne; sɛ modeda mo mpa so a, monyɛ komm na monhwehwɛ mo koma mu.
Be deeply moved, but do not sin, —Ponder in your own heart upon your bed, and be silent. (Selah)
5 Mommɔ afɔre a ɛfata na momfa mo werɛ nhyɛ Awurade mu.
Sacrifice the sacrifices of righteousness; and put your trust in Yahweh.
6 Nnipa bebree bisa se: “Hena na ɔde yiyeyɛ bɛbrɛ yɛn?” Awurade, ma wʼanim hann no nhyerɛn yɛn so.
Multitudes, are saying, Who will show us prosperity? Lift thou upon us the light of thy countenance, O Yahweh.
7 Fa anigye mmoroso hyɛ me koma ma bere a wɔn aburow ne nsa foforo abu so no.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, —beyond the season when, their corn and their new wine, have increased.
8 Mɛtɔ hɔ, na mada asomdwoe mu, efisɛ wo nko ara, Awurade, na woma metena dwoodwoo. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo sɛ wɔmfa atɛntɛbɛn nto.
In peace, will I lay me down and at once sleep; for, thou, Yahweh alone, wilt cause me, in security, to dwell.
