< Nnwom 35 >
1 Dawid dwom. Awurade wo ne wɔn a wɔne me di asi no nni asi; ko tia wɔn a wɔko tia me.
[A Psalm] of David. Judge you, O Lord, them that injure me, fight against them that fight against me.
2 Fa wo nkatabo ne wʼakode; na sɔre bra bɛboa me.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and arise for my help.
3 Twe peaw ne abonnua wɔ wɔn a wɔtaa me no so. Ka kyerɛ me kra se, “Mene wʼagyenkwa.”
Bring forth a sword, and stop [the way] against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am your salvation.
4 Wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wokum me no, ma wɔn anim ngu ase; wɔn a wɔbɔ me sɛe ho pɔw no, ma wɔmfa aniwu nsan wɔn akyi.
Let them that seek my soul be ashamed and confounded: let them that devise evils against me be turned back and put to shame.
5 Ma wɔnyɛ sɛ ntɛtɛ a mframa bɔ gu wɔn a Awurade bɔfo repam wɔn no.
Let them be as dust before the wind, and an angel of the Lord afflicting them.
6 Ma wɔn akwan so nnuru sum na ɛso ɛnyɛ toro, na Awurade bɔfo ntaa wɔn.
Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.
7 Esiane sɛ wɔde ɔtan sum me afiri kwa, na wotuu amoa maa me a menyɛɛ wɔn hwee no nti
For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare: without a cause they have reproached my soul.
8 ma ɔsɛe mmefu wɔn mu na ɔtan no a wɔde hintaw no nyi wɔn, na ma wɔnhwe amoa no mu nsɛe.
Let a snare which they know not come upon them; and the gin which they hid take them; and let them fall into the very same snare.
9 Afei me kra ani begye wɔ Awurade mu na wasɛpɛw ne ho wɔ ne nkwagye mu.
But my soul shall exult in the Lord: it shall delight in his salvation.
10 Me nipadua nyinaa bɛteɛ mu aka se, “Hena na ɔte sɛ wo, Awurade? Wugye ohiani fi ahoɔdenfo nsam, ne nea onni bi fi apoobɔfo nsam.”
All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like to you? delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yes, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him.
11 Adansekurumfo sɔre; wobisa me nneɛma a minnim ho hwee ho asɛm.
Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I new not.
12 Wɔde bɔne tua papa a meyɛ so ka na wɔma me kra yɛ basaa.
They rewarded me evil for good, and bereavement to my soul.
13 Nanso bere a wɔyaree no, mifuraa atweaatam na mede akɔnkyen brɛɛ me ho ase. Bere a me mpaebɔ ho mmuae nnya mmae no,
But I, when they troubled me, put on sackcloth, and humbled my soul with fasting: and my prayer shall return to my [own] bosom.
14 mekɔɔ so twaa adwo, sɛnea meyɛ ma mʼadamfo anaa onuabarima. Mede awerɛhow sii me ti ase te sɛ nea meregyam me na.
I behaved agreeably towards them as [if it had been] our neighbour [or] brother: I humbled myself as one mourning and sad of countenance.
15 Nanso bere a mihintiw no wɔde anigye boaa wɔn ho ano; afowfo twaa me ho hyiae a minnim, na wodii me ho nseku a wɔantwa so da.
Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew [it] not: they were scattered, but repented not.
16 Wɔde adwemmɔne dii me ho fɛw te sɛ nnipa a wonni nyamesu, wɔtwɛree wɔn se guu me so.
They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me.
17 Awurade, wobɛhwɛ wɔn akosi da bɛn? Gye me nkwa fi wɔn sɛe mu, gye me nkwa a ɛsom bo no fi saa gyata yi nsam.
O Lord, when will you look upon me? Deliver my soul from their mischief, mine only-begotten one from the lions.
18 Na mɛda wo ase wɔ guabɔ kɛse ase; wɔ nnipa dodow mu na mɛkamfo wo.
I will give thanks to you even in a great congregation: in an abundant people I will praise you.
19 Mma mʼatamfo a wɔtan me kwa no nhwɛ me haw nserew. Mma wɔn a menyɛɛ wɔn hwee nanso wɔtan me no mmfa adwene bɔne mmu me anikyiw.
Let not them that are mine enemies without a cause rejoice against me; who hate me for nothing, and wink with their eyes.
20 Wɔnnkasa asomdwoe so, na mmom, wɔde ntwatoso tia nnipa a wɔmpɛ wɔn ho asɛm wɔ asase yi so.
For to me they spoke peaceably, but imagined deceits in [their] anger.
21 Wɔhwɛ me haw ka se, “Yiw! Yiw, yɛde yɛn ankasa ani ahu.”
And they opened wide their mouth upon me; they said Aha, aha, our eyes have seen [it].
22 Awurade, woahu na mmua wʼano. Ntwe wo ho nkɔ akyiri, Awurade.
You have seen [it], O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, withdraw not [yourself] from me.
23 Nyan, sɔre na bɛbɔ me ho ban! Ka bi ma me, me Nyankopɔn ne mʼAwurade.
Awake, O Lord, and attend to my judgement, [even] to my cause, my God and my Lord.
24 Di mʼasɛm ma me wɔ wo trenee no mu, Awurade me Nyankopɔn; mma wɔnnhwɛ me haw nserew.
Judge me, O Lord, according to your righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice against me.
25 Mma wɔnnwene nka se, “Yiw, nea yɛpɛ ni!” anaa wɔnnka se, “Yɛanya no.”
Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, aha, [it is pleasing] to our soul: neither let them say, We have devoured him.
26 Ma wɔn a wɔhwɛ me haw serew me wɔ mʼahohiahia mu no nyinaa anim ngu ase na wɔnyɛ basaa; ma wɔn a wodi me so akokurokosɛm no nhyɛ aniwu ne animguase atade.
Let them be confounded and ashamed together that rejoice at my afflictions: let them be clothed with shame and confusion that speak great swelling words against me.
27 Ma wɔn a wodi ahurusi wɔ me bembu ho no mfa anigye ne ahosɛpɛw nteɛ mu bere nyinaa mu; ma wɔnka se, “Momma Awurade so, ɔno na nʼani gye ne somfo yiyedi ho.”
Let them that rejoice in my righteousness exult and be glad: and let them say continually, The Lord be magnified, who desire the peace of his servant.
28 Me tɛkrɛma bɛka wo trenee, ne wʼayeyi, da mu nyinaa.
And my tongue shall meditate on your righteousness, [and] on your praise all the day.
