< Nnwom 33 >
1 Momfa ahurusi nto dwom mma Awurade, mo atreneefo, ɛfata sɛ wɔn a wɔteɛ no yi no ayɛ.
Let those who do good shout for joy—those who live right should praise him!
2 Momfa sanku nkamfo Awurade; monto dwom mma no wɔ sankuten so.
Praise the Lord with the lyre, play music to him on the ten-stringed harp.
3 Monto dwom foforo mma no. Momfa nimdeɛ mmɔ sanku no na monteɛ mu ahurusi so!
Sing a new song to him; play your instruments well and shout for joy.
4 Awurade asɛm teɛ na ɛyɛ nokware odi nokware wɔ nea ɔyɛ nyinaa mu.
For the word of the Lord is true, and he is trustworthy in everything he does.
5 Awurade dɔ treneeyɛ ne atɛntrenee. Nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no ahyɛ asase so ma.
He loves all that is good and right; the earth is full of the Lord's trustworthy love.
6 Awurade asɛm so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsorosoro, nʼanom home so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsoro asafo.
The Lord spoke the word and the heavens were made; his mouth breathed all the stars into existence.
7 Ɔka po nsu boa ano kuw; na ɔde bun sie nea hɔ dɔ.
He gathers the waters of the sea together, he keeps the ocean depths in store.
8 Momma asase sofo nyinaa nsuro Awurade; na wiasefo nyinaa mfa nidi mma no.
Let all the earth show reverence to the Lord; let all the world's inhabitants be in awe of him.
9 Ɔno na ɔkasa ma ɛbaa mu na ɔhyɛ ma egyinaa pintinn.
For he spoke and the world came into existence; he gave the command and it was created.
10 Awurade sɛe amanaman no nhyehyɛe; ɔma adesamma nsusuwii yɛ ɔkwa.
The Lord foils the decisions of the nations, he frustrates the plans of the peoples,
11 Nanso Awurade nhyehyɛe tim hɔ daa, ne koma mu botae wɔ hɔ ma awo ntoatoaso.
But the Lord's plan stands forever—what he decides lasts for all generations.
12 Nhyira ne ɔman a ne Nyankopɔn ne Awurade, nnipa a oyii wɔn sɛ nʼagyapade no.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen as specially belonging to him.
13 Awurade hwɛ adesamma nyinaa fi ɔsoro.
The Lord looks from heaven and sees the whole of humanity,
14 Ofi nʼatenae hwɛ wɔn a wɔte asase so nyinaa.
from his throne he watches all those who live on earth.
15 Ɔno ne nea ɔbɔɔ wɔn nyinaa koma, na osusuw nea wɔyɛ nyinaa ho.
He created their minds, so he knows everything they do.
16 Ɛnyɛ ɔhene asraafo dɔm kɛse na ebegye no; ɔkofo biara nni hɔ a ofi nʼahoɔden mu guan.
Even the greatest army cannot save a king; the greatest strength cannot save a warrior.
17 Ɔpɔnkɔ mu ahotoso yɛ ɔkwa wɔ nkwagye mu; nʼahoɔden nyinaa akyi no, ɔrentumi nnye nkwa.
Don't deceive yourself: a warhorse can't give you victory—even its incredible strength won't save you.
18 Nanso Awurade ani wɔ wɔn a wosuro no no so, wɔn a wɔwɔ anidaso wɔ ne dɔ a ɛnsa da no mu,
The Lord watches over those who reverently follow him, those who place their hope in his trustworthy love
19 sɛ obegye wɔn afi owu mu na wama wɔatena nkwa mu wɔ ɔkɔm bere mu.
to save them from death and to keep them alive when famine strikes.
20 Yɛde anidaso twɛn Awurade; ɔyɛ yɛn boafo ne yɛn nkatabo.
We place our confidence in the Lord; he is our help and our defender.
21 Ne mu na yɛn koma di ahurusi, efisɛ yɛde yɛn ho to ne din kronkron no so.
We are so happy about him, for we trust in his holy character.
22 Ma wʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no ntena yɛn so, Awurade, sɛnea anidaso a yɛwɔ wɔ mu no te.
Lord, let your trustworthy love rest upon us as we hope in you.
