< Nnwom 32 >
1 Dawid dwom. Nhyira ne wɔn a wɔde wɔn amumɔyɛ akyɛ wɔn, na wɔakata wɔn bɔne so.
Blessed is he whose rebellious breach of relationship is forgiven, whose cause for sacrifice for sin ·missing the goal· is covered.
2 Nhyira nka onipa a Awurade mmu ne bɔne ngu no so na nnaadaa nni ne honhom mu.
Blessed is the man to whom Adonai does not impute depravity (moral evil), in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 Bere a meyɛɛ komm no, me nnompe yɛɛ mmrɛw, apini a misii no da mu nyinaa nti.
When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4 Awia ne anadwo wo nsa yɛɛ den wɔ me so; mʼahoɔden sae te sɛ awia bere mu ɔhyew.
For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
5 Afei, migyee me bɔne too mu. Mankata mʼamumɔyɛ so. Mekae se, “Mɛka me bɔne akyerɛ Awurade,” na wode me bɔne ho afɔdi kyɛɛ me.
I acknowledged my habitual sin ·missing the mark· to you. I didn’t hide my depravity (moral evil). I said, I will yadah ·extend hands in confession· of my rebellious breaches of relationships to Adonai, and you forgave the depravity (moral evil) of my habitual sin ·missing the mark·. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
6 Enti, ma agyidifo nyinaa mmɔ wo mpae bere a wohu wo; ampa ara sɛ asu akɛse yiri a, ɛrenka no.
For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7 Wone me hintabea; wobɛbɔ me ho ban wɔ amanehunu mu na wode nkwagye nnwom atwa me ho ahyia.
You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
8 Mɛkyerɛkyerɛ wo ɔkwan a wobɛfa so metu wo fo na mahwɛ wo so.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
9 Ɛnyɛ sɛ ɔpɔnkɔ anaa afurumpɔnkɔ a onni ntease nti wɔde nnareka ne hama na ɛdannan no, sɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔbɛba wo nkyɛn.
Don’t be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
10 Omumɔyɛfo amanehunu dɔɔso, nanso Awurade adɔe a ɛnsa da no twa onipa a ɔde ne ho to no so no ho hyia.
Many sorrows come to the wicked, but chesed ·loving-kindness· shall surround him who trusts in Adonai.
11 Munni ahurusi na mo ani nnye wɔ Awurade mu, mo atreneefo; monto dwom, mo a mo koma mu tew.
Be glad in Adonai, and rejoice, you upright! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
