< Nnwom 31 >

1 Dawid dwom. Wo mu, Awurade na manya guankɔbea; mma mʼanim ngu ase; fi wo trenee mu gye me.
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, Let me not be ashamed to times age-abiding, In thy righteousness, deliver me:
2 Yɛ aso ma me, bra ntɛm begye me; yɛ me bammɔ botan, aban a mʼatamfo nsa renka me.
Incline unto me, thine ear, Speedily rescue me, —Become to me a Rock of refuge, a Place of security, For saving me.
3 Sɛ woyɛ me botan ne mʼaban nti, wo din nti di mʼanim na kyerɛ me kwan.
Because, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art, Therefore, for the sake of thine own Name, wilt thou lead me and guide me?
4 Gye me fi afiri a wɔasum me no mu, efisɛ wo ne me guankɔbea.
Wilt thou bring me forth, out of the net which they have hidden for me? For, thou, art my refuge.
5 Wo nsam na mede me kra hyɛ; gye me bio, Awurade, Onyankopɔn nokwafo.
Into thy hand, do I commit my spirit—Thou hast ransomed me, O Yahweh, GOD most faithful.
6 Mikyi wɔn a wɔsom abosom huhuw; mede me ho to Awurade so.
I hate such as give heed to false vanities, I, then, in Yahweh, have set my hope.
7 Mʼani begye na madi ahurusi wɔ wo dɔ mu, efisɛ wuhu mʼamanehunu, na wunim me kra mu haw.
I will indeed exult and rejoice, in thy lovingkindness, —In that thou hast looked upon my humiliation, thou hast taken note that in distresses was my life;
8 Womfaa me nhyɛɛ ɔtamfo no nsa mmom wode me nan asisi petee mu.
And hast not shut me up in the hand of the foe, Thou hast given standing, in a roomy place, unto my feet.
9 Hu me mmɔbɔ, Awurade, efisɛ me ho yeraw me; awerɛhow ama mʼani so ayɛ kusuu ɔyaw ama me kra ne me honam ayɛ mmerɛw.
Show me favour, O Yahweh, for in distress am I, —Wasted with vexation, is mine eye—my soul and my body;
10 Ɔyawdi retew me nkwa so, na abooboo tew me mfe so; ɔhaw nti mʼahoɔden kɔ fam, na me nnompe nso ahodwow.
For, consumed with sorrow, is my life, and my years with sighing, —My strength hath staggered with my humiliation, and, my bones, are without marrow.
11 Mʼatamfo nyinaa nti, mayɛ ahohora wɔ me nnamfonom mu; nnipa a wonim me suro me, na wɔn a wohu me mmɔnten so guan.
By reason of all mine adversaries, have I become a reproach. Even to my neighbours, altogether, and a dread to mine acquaintance, —They who have seen me abroad, have fled from me:
12 Obiara werɛ afi me te sɛ nea mawu; mayɛ sɛ kuku a abɔ.
I have been forgotten, like one dead—out of mind, I have been as a missing vessel.
13 Mete asomsɛm dodow a wɔka ahunahuna atwa me ho ahyia. Wɔrepam me ti so, na wɔbɔ pɔw sɛ wobekum me.
For I have heard the whispering of many—A terror round about! When they have sat in conclave together against me, to take away my life, have they intrigued.
14 Nanso mede me ho ato wo so, Awurade; meka se, “Woyɛ me Nyankopɔn.”
I, therefore. in thee, have put my trust, O Yahweh, I have said, My God, thou art!
15 Me mmere wɔ wo nsam gye me fi mʼatamfo ne wɔn a wɔtaa me no nsam.
In thy hand, are my times, Rescue me from the hand of my foes and from my pursuers!
16 Tew wʼanim kyerɛ wo somfo; gye me wɔ wo dɔ a enni huammɔ no mu.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant, Save me in thy lovingkindness.
17 Mma mʼanim ngu ase, Awurade, efisɛ masu afrɛ wo; mmom, ma amumɔyɛfo anim ngu ase na wɔnna wɔn nna mu komm. (Sheol h7585)
O Yahweh! let me not be ashamed, For I have called upon thee, Let the lawless be ashamed, Go down in silence to hades! (Sheol h7585)
18 Mua atorofo ano, efisɛ wɔde ahantan ne animtiaabu kasa tia atreneefo.
Let false lips be made dumb, —which are speaking—against a righteous one—arrogantly, with pride and contempt.
19 Wo papayɛ dɔɔso, ɛno na woakora ama wɔn a wosuro wo no ɛno na wode ma wɔn a woguan toa wo no wɔ nnipa anim.
How great is thy goodness, which thou hast hidden away for them who revere thee, —Thou hast wrought for them who seek refuge in thee, in sight of the sons of men.
20 Wode wɔn sie wʼanim bammɔ mu fi nnipa nsusuwii bɔne ho; wo tenabea hɔ na wode wɔn sie dwoodwoo fi tɛkrɛma a ɛbɔ sobo ho.
Thou wilt conceal them, in the secrecy of thine own presence, from the conspiracies of men, —Thou wilt hide them in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues.
21 Ayeyi nka Awurade! Sɛ wayi ne dɔ nwonwaso akyerɛ me bere a na mewɔ kuropɔn a atamfo atwa ho ahyia no mu no.
Blessed be Yahweh, for he hath made wonderful his lovingkindness for me, in a fortified city.
22 Mebɔɔ huboa no mekae se: “Woayi wʼani afi me so!” Nanso wotee me mmɔborɔsu bere a mekotow srɛɛ wo no.
But, I, had said in mine alarm, I am cut off from before thine eyes, —But, indeed, thou didst hear the voice of my supplication, when I cried for help unto thee.
23 Monnɔ Awurade mo a moyɛ nʼahotewfo nyinaa! Awurade kora wɔn a wodi nokware so, na ahomasofo de, otua wɔn ka pɛpɛɛpɛ.
Love Yahweh, all ye his men of lovingkindness, —Faithfulness, doth Yahweh observe, but repayeth abundantly him that worketh proudly.
24 Monyɛ den na momma mo bo ntɔ mo yam, mo a mowɔ anidaso wɔ Awurade mu nyinaa.
Be strong, and let your heart be bold, all ye who are waiting for Yahweh.
