< Nnwom 30 >
1 Dawid dwom. Mɛma wo so, Awurade, efisɛ, woayi me afi bun mu na woamma mʼatamfo anserew me.
For the end, a Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will exalt you, O Lord; for you have lifted me up, and not caused mine enemies to rejoice over me.
2 Awurade me Nyankopɔn, misu frɛɛ wo sɛ boa me na wosaa me yare.
O Lord my God, I cried to you, and you did heal me.
3 Awurade, wuyii me fii ɔda mu; wode me ho kyɛɛ me na woamma mankɔ amoa mu. (Sheol )
O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Hades, you have delivered me from [among] them that go down to the pit. (Sheol )
4 Monto ayeyi nnwom mma Awurade; mo a moyɛ nʼahotewfo! Monkamfo ne din kronkron no.
Sing to the Lord, you his saints, and give thanks for the remembrance of his holiness.
5 Nʼabufuw nkyɛ, na nʼadɔe wɔ hɔ daa; agyaadwotwa bɛwɔ hɔ anadwo, nanso ahosɛpɛw bɛba anɔpa.
For anger is in his wrath, but life in his favor: weeping shall wait for the evening, but joy shall be in the morning.
6 Metee nka sɛ mewɔ bammɔ no, mekae se, “Merenhinhim da.”
And I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.
7 Awurade, woyɛɛ me adom no womaa me bepɔw gyinaa pintinn na wode wʼanim hintaw me no, me koma tui.
O Lord, in your good pleasure you did add strength to my beauty: but you did turn away your face, and I was troubled.
8 Wo, Awurade na mefrɛɛ wo; wo hɔ na misu mesrɛɛ mmɔborɔhunu se:
To you, O Lord, will I cry; and to my God will I make supplication.
9 “Mfaso bɛn na ɛwɔ me sɛe so, sɛ mɛkɔ amoa mu? Mfutuma beyi wo ayɛ ana? Ɛbɛpae mu aka wo nokwaredi ana?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to destruction? Shall the dust give praise to you? or shall it declare your truth?
10 Tie me, Awurade, na hu me mmɔbɔ! Awurade, yɛ me boafo.”
The Lord heard, and had compassion upon me; the Lord is become my helper.
11 Wodan mʼagyaadwotwa yɛɛ no asaw; wuyii mʼatweaatam fii me ho na wode anigye furaa me,
You have turned my mourning into joy for me: you have tore off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 sɛ me koma bɛto nnwom ama wo na ɛrenyɛ komm. Awurade me Nyankopɔn, meyi wo ayɛ daa. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo.
that my glory may sing praise to you, and I may not be pierced [with sorrow]. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you for ever.
