1 Dawid dwom a ɔtoe bere a ɔreguan afi ne babarima Absalom anim. Awurade, hwɛ sɛnea mʼatamfo dɔɔso fa! dodow no ara na wɔsɔre tia me!
[A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.] LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many rise up against me.
2 Bebree no ara ka fa me ho se, “Onyankopɔn rennye no.”
Many there are who say of my soul, "There is no salvation for him in God." (Selah)
3 Nanso wo, Awurade, woyɛ nkatabo a atwa me ho ahyia mʼanuonyam, nea Ɔpagyaw me ti.
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 Meteɛ mu su frɛ Awurade, na ogye me so fi ne bepɔw kronkron no so.
I cried out to the LORD with my voice, and he answered me from his holy mountain. (Selah)
5 Metɔ hɔ na meda a, minyan bio, efisɛ Awurade ma migyina.
I lay down and slept. I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
6 Merensuro atamfo mpem mpem a wɔatwa me ho ahyia no.
I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
7 Sɔre, Awurade! Gye me, me Nyankopɔn! Bobɔ mʼatamfo nyinaa abogye; na tutu amumɔyɛfo se.
Arise, LORD. Save me, my God. For you slap all my enemies in the face. You break the teeth of the wicked.
8 Awurade hɔ na ogye fi ba. Ma wo nhyira mmra wo nkurɔfo so. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔto wɔ sankuhama so.
Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon your people. (Selah)
