1 Dawid dwom. Asase ne nea ɛwɔ mu nyinaa yɛ Awurade de; wiase ne wɔn a wɔte mu nyinaa wɔ no;
Of David. A psalm. The earth is the Lord’s and all that it holds, the world and those who live in it.
2 efisɛ ɔno na ɔtoo ne fapem wɔ po so na ɔde sii nsu ani.
For he founded it on the seas, and on the floods he sustains it.
3 Hena na obetumi aforo Awurade bepɔw no? Hena na obetumi agyina ne tenabea kronkron hɔ?
Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 Nea ɔyɛ ade trenee na ne koma mu tew, nea ne kra nni ahoni akyi na ɔnka ntamhunu.
The clean of hands, the pure of heart, who sets not their heart upon sinful things, nor swears with intent to deceive:
5 Obenya Awurade nsam nhyira ne bembu a efi ne Nkwagye Nyankopɔn.
they win from the Lord a blessing: God is their champion and savior.
6 Saa na awo ntoatoaso a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no te wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ wʼanim no, Yakob Nyankopɔn.
Such must be those who resort to him, and seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Selah)
7 Mo aponkɛse, momma mo ti so; wɔmma mo so, mo tete apon, na Anuonyam Hene nhyɛn mu.
Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.
8 Hena ne saa Anuonyam Hene yi? Ɔno ne Awurade hoɔdenfo ne otumfo no Awurade a ɔyɛ ɔko mu nkonimdifo.
“Who is the glorious king?” “The Lord strong and heroic, the Lord heroic in battle.”
9 Momma mo ti so, mo aponkɛse momma wɔn so, mo tete apon, na anuonyam Hene no nkɔ mu.
Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.
10 Hena ne saa anuonyam Hene yi? Asafo Awurade no, ɔno ne anuonyam Hene no.
“Who is the glorious king?” “The Lord, the God of hosts, he is the glorious king.” (Selah)
