1 Monkamfo Awurade. Eye sɛ wɔto ayeyi nnwom ma yɛn Nyankopɔn, ɛyɛ fɛ na ɛfata dodo sɛ wɔkamfo no!
Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.
2 Awurade kyekyere Yerusalem; Ɔboaboa Israel nnommum ano.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
3 Ɔsa wɔn a wɔn koma abotow no yare, na ɔkyekyere wɔn akuru.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Ɔkyerɛ nsoromma dodow a ɛwɔ hɔ, na ɔde obiara din frɛ no.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
5 Yɛn Awurade so, na ne tumi yɛ kɛse; yɛrente nʼase nwie.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
6 Awurade wowaw ahobrɛasefo na ɔtotow amumɔyɛfo hwehwe fam.
The LORD upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
7 Monto aseda nnwom mma Awurade. Momfa sanku nto dwom mma yɛn Nyankopɔn.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,
8 Ɔde omununkum kata ɔsoro ani; ɔma asase osu ma sare nyin wɔ nkoko so.
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
9 Ɔma anantwi aduan, na sɛ kwaakwaadabimma su a, ɔma wɔn aduan.
He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
10 Ɛnyɛ ɔpɔnkɔ ahoɔden na nʼani sɔ na ɛnyɛ onipa ahoɔden nso.
He doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 Na mmom, Awurade ani sɔ nnipa a wosuro no, wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no so no.
The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
12 Momma Awurade so, Yerusalem; kamfo wo Nyankopɔn, Sion,
Praise the LORD, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!
13 ɔma wʼapon akyi adaban yɛ den, na ohyira wo nkurɔfo a wɔte wo mu.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
14 Ɔma wʼahye so dwo, na ɔde awi ankasa ma wo.
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
15 Ɔsoma nʼahyɛde kɔ asase so; nʼasɛm tu mmirika ntɛm so.
He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
16 Ɔtrɛw sukyerɛmma mu sɛ oguan ho nwi, na ɔpete obosu sukyerɛmma sɛ nsõ.
He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
17 Ɔtotow mparuwbo gu fam sɛ mmosea. Hena na obetumi agyina nʼawɔw dennen no ano?
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
18 Ɔsoma nʼasɛm no ma ɛnan no; ɔhwanyan ne mframa, na nsu sen.
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Wada nʼasɛm adi akyerɛ Yakob, ne mmara ne ɔhyɛ nsɛm akyerɛ Israel.
He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
20 Ɔnyɛɛ eyi maa ɔman foforo biara ɛ; wonnim ne mmara. Monkamfo Awurade!
He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise the LORD!
