< Nnwom 146 >
1 Monkamfo Awurade. Me kra, kamfo Awurade!
My soul, praise the Lord.
2 Mɛkamfo Awurade me nkwanna nyinaa; mɛto ayeyi dwom ama me Nyankopɔn, sɛ mete ase yi.
I will praise the Lord, while I live; I will sing to my God, while I am.
3 Mommfa mo ho nto mmapɔmma so, adesamma a wɔrentumi nnye nkwa.
Put not your trust in princes mortals, in whom is no help.
4 Sɛ wɔn honhom tu kɔ a, wɔsan kɔ dɔte mu, saa da no ara wɔn nsusuwii nyinaa yɛ ɔkwa.
When their breath goes out, they go back to the dust: on that very day their purposes perish.
5 Nhyira ne nea ne boafo ne Yakob Nyankopɔn, nea nʼanidaso wɔ Awurade, ne Nyankopɔn mu.
Happy those whose help is the God of Jacob: whose hope is set on the Lord their God,
6 Ɔno ne ɔsoro ne asase Yɛfo, po ne biribiara a ɛwɔ mu nyinaa Awurade a ɔyɛ nokwafo daa no.
the Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them. He remains eternally loyal.
7 Odi ma wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so, na ɔma wɔn a ɔkɔm de wɔn aduan. Awurade gyaa nneduafo,
For the wronged he executes justice; he gives bread to the hungry; the Lord releases the prisoners.
8 Awurade ma anifuraefo hu ade. Awurade ma wɔn a wɔakom no so, Awurade dɔ atreneefo.
The Lord gives sight to the blind: the Lord raises those who are bowed. The Lord loves the righteous.
9 Awurade hwɛ ahɔho so, na ɔwowaw ayisaa ne akunafo, na amumɔyɛfo akwan de, ɔdan ani.
The Lord preserves the stranger, upholds the widow and orphan, but the wicked he leads to disaster.
10 Awurade di hene daa daa, Ao, Sion, wo Nyankopɔn, wɔ awo ntoatoaso nyinaa so. Monkamfo Awurade.
The Lord shall reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Hallelujah.
