< Nnwom 138 >
1 Dawid de. Awurade, mede me koma nyinaa ayi wo ayɛ; mɛto wʼayeyi dwom wɔ “anyame” no anim.
David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:
2 Mede mʼani bɛkyerɛ wʼasɔredan kronkron no, akotow wo na makamfo wo din wɔ wʼadɔe a enni huammɔ ne wo nokwaredi nti, efisɛ woama wʼahyɛde no so yiye; ama asen wo titiriwyɛ.
I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!
3 Bere a misu frɛɛ wo no, wugyee me so; woma minyaa akokoduru ne nnamyɛ.
In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.
4 Awurade, sɛ ahemfo a wɔwɔ wiase nyinaa te nea woahyɛ no a, ma wɔnkamfo wo.
All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;
5 Ma wɔnto Awurade akwan ho nnwom, na Awurade anuonyam yɛ kɛse.
And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:
6 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ Awurade wɔ ɔsorosoro de, nanso ɔhwɛ mmɔborɔfo, na ahantanfo de, ohu wɔn wɔ akyirikyiri.
Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.
7 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ menam ɔhaw mu de, nanso wobɔ me nkwa ho ban; woteɛ wo nsa wɔ mʼatamfo abufuw so, na wode wo nsa nifa gye me nkwa.
Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:
8 Awurade bɛma nea wahyehyɛ ama me no aba mu; Awurade, wʼadɔe wɔ hɔ daa, nnyaa wo nsa ano nnwuma akyidi. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo.
Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.
