< Nnwom 130 >
1 Ɔsoroforo dwom. Awurade, mifi bun mu su frɛ wo;
Yahweh, I have a lot of troubles/many difficulties, so I call out to you.
2 Awurade, tie me nne. Wɛn wʼaso ma me nkotosrɛ.
Yahweh, hear me, while I call out to you [SYN] to be merciful to me!
3 Awurade, sɛ wubu yɛn bɔne ho nkontaa a, anka hena na obetumi agyina ano?
Yahweh, if you kept a record of the sins [that we have committed], not one [of us] [RHQ] would escape from being condemned [and punished]
4 Nanso wowɔ bɔnefakyɛ; ɛno nti wosuro wo.
But you forgive us, with the result that we greatly revere you.
5 Metwɛn Awurade, me mu ade nyinaa twɛn, na nʼasɛm mu na mede mʼanidaso ahyɛ.
Yahweh has said [that he would help/rescue me]; I trust what he said, and I wait eagerly for him to do that.
6 Metwɛn Awurade sen sɛnea awɛmfo twɛn adekyee, sen sɛnea awɛmfo twɛn adekyee.
I wait for Yahweh [to help me] more than watchmen wait for the light to dawn; yes, I wait more eagerly than they do!
7 Israel, ma wʼani nna Awurade so, efisɛ Awurade wɔ adɔe a enni huammɔ na ogye ankasa wɔ ne mu.
You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will bless us]. [He will bless us] because he faithfully loves [us], and he is very willing to save/rescue [us].
8 Ɔno ankasa begye Israel afi wɔn bɔne nyinaa mu.
And he will save us Israeli [people] from [being punished for] all the sins that [we] have committed.
