158 Mehwɛ wɔn a wonni gyidi no a wɔn ho yɛ me nwini, efisɛ wonni wʼasɛm so.
I saw men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not your oracles.
159 Hwɛ sɛnea mʼani gye wo nkyerɛkyerɛ ho; Awurade, kyɛe me nkwa so sɛnea wʼadɔe te.
Behold, I have loved your commandments, O Lord: quicken me in your mercy.
160 Wo nsɛm nyinaa yɛ nokware; na wo mmara a ɛteɛ no to rentwa da.
The beginning of your words is truth; and all the judgments of your righteousness [endure] for ever.
161 Sodifo taataa me kwa, nanso ɛyɛ wʼasɛm nko ara na misuro.
Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of your words.
162 Mʼani gye wo bɔhyɛ ho te sɛ obi a wanya asade kɛse.
I will exult because of your oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
163 Mikyi nkontompo na medɔ wo mmara.
I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love your law.
164 Mekamfo wo mpɛn ason da biara, wo mmara a ɛteɛ no nti.
Seven times in a day have I praised you because of the judgments of your righteousness.
165 Wɔn a wɔdɔ wo mmara no wɔ asomdwoe mmoroso, na biribiara rentumi mma wonhintiw.
Great peace have they that love your law: and there is no stumbling block to them.
166 Awurade, metwɛn wo nkwagye, na midi wo mmara nsɛm so.
I waited for your salvation, O Lord, and have loved your commandments.
167 Midi wʼahyɛde so na medɔ no yiye.
My soul has kept your testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
168 Midi wo nkyerɛkyerɛ ne wʼahyɛde so, na wunim mʼakwan nyinaa.
I have kept your commandments and your testimonies; for all my ways are before you, O Lord.
169 Awurade, ma me sufrɛ nnu wʼanim; ma me ntease sɛnea wʼasɛm no te.
Let my supplication come near before you, o Lord; instruct me according to your oracle.
170 Ma me nkotosrɛ nnu wʼanim; na gye me sɛnea wo bɔhyɛ no te.
Let my petition come in before you, O Lord; deliver me according to your oracle.
171 Ma nkamfo nhyɛ mʼanom ma; efisɛ wokyerɛkyerɛ me wo hyɛ nsɛm.
Let my lips utter a hymn, when you shall have taught me your ordinances.
172 Ma me tɛkrɛma nto wʼasɛm ho dwom, efisɛ wo mmara nsɛm nyinaa yɛ trenee.
Let my tongue utter your oracles; for all your commandments are righteous.
173 Ma wo nsa nyɛ krado mmɛboa me, efisɛ maso wo nkyerɛkyerɛ no mu.
Let your hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen your commandments.
174 Awurade, mʼani agyina wo nkwagye, na wo mmara yɛ mʼanigyede.
I have longed after your salvation, O Lord; and your law is my (meditation)
175 Ma mentena nkwa mu na matumi akamfo wo, na wo mmara nso awowaw me.
My soul shall live, and shall praise you; and your judgments shall help me.
176 Mafom kwan sɛ oguan a wayera. Hwehwɛ wo somfo, efisɛ me werɛ mfii wo mmara nsɛm no ɛ.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I have not forgotten your commandments.
