1 Monkamfo Awurade. Nhyira nka onipa a osuro Awurade na onya nʼahyɛde mu anigye pii.

Praise ye Yah! How happy is the man who revereth Yahweh, In his commandments, delighteth he greatly;

2 Ne mma bɛyɛ atumfo wɔ asase no so; atreneefo awo ntoatoaso benya nhyira.

Mighty in the earth, shall be his seed, The generation of the upright, shall be blessed;

3 Ahonya ne sika wɔ ne fi, na ne trenee tena hɔ daa.

Wealth and riches, shall be in his house, and, his righteousness, standeth for aye.

4 Sum mu mpo hann pue ma nnipa a wɔteɛ, ma ɔdomfo, mmɔborɔhunufo ne ɔnokwafo.

Risen—in darkness, is light to the upright, The gracious and compassionate and righteous.

5 Yiyedi bɛba wɔn a wɔn tirim yɛ mmerɛw na wɔde fɛm kwa, wɔn a wɔde atɛntrenee yɛ wɔn nneɛma no so.

Well for a man showing favour and lending! He shall sustain his affairs with justice.

6 Ampa ara ɔrenhinhim da biara da; wɔbɛkae onipa trenee daa.

Surely, unto times age-abiding, shall he not be shaken, In remembrance, age-abiding, shall the righteous one remain;

7 Ɔte asɛmmɔne a, ɛmmɔ no hu; ne koma si pi wɔ Awurade mu ahotoso mu.

Of evil tidings, shall he not be afraid, Established is his heart, led to trust in Yahweh;

8 Ne koma wɔ bammɔ, na onsuro; awiei no ɔde nkonimdi behyia nʼatamfo.

Upheld is his heart, he shall not be afraid, until that he gazeth on his foes.

9 Ɔtow nʼakyɛde pete aman so ma ahiafo nea wohia, nʼadɔe no tena hɔ daa; wɔbɛkae wɔn daa na wɔahyɛ wɔn anuonyam.

He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy, His righteousness, standeth for aye, His horn, shall be exalted in honour.

10 Omumɔyɛfo behu ama ayɛ no yaw, ɔbɛtwɛre ne se na wafɔn; omumɔyɛfo tirimpɔw bɛyɛ ɔkwa.

The lawless one, shall see, and be indignant, his teeth, will he gnash and melt away, The craving of the lawless, shall vanish.
