< Nnwom 110 >
1 Dawid dwom. Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me Wura se, “Tena me nifa so kosi sɛ mede wʼatamfo bɛyɛ wʼanan ase ntiaso.”
Of David, a psalm. This said the Lord concerning my lord, ‘Sit at my right hand, till I set your foot on the neck of your foes.’
2 Awurade bɛterɛw wʼahempema dennen mu afi Sion; na wubedi hene wɔ wʼatamfo so.
On Zion the Lord is wielding your sceptre of might, and charges you to rule over the foes that surround you.
3 Wʼasraafo beyi wɔn koma mu da a wobɛkɔ ɔsa. Tumi kronkron bɛyɛ wʼadurade na wo mmabun bɛba wo nkyɛn sɛnea obosu gugu anɔpahema.
The day that you march to battle your people will follow you gladly young warriors in holy array, like dew-drops, born of the morning.
4 Awurade aka ntam na ɔrensesa nʼadwene: “Woyɛ daapem sɔfo sɛ Melkisedek sɛso.”
The Lord has sworn and will not repent, ‘As for you, you are priest for ever as Melchizedek was.’
5 Awurade wɔ wo nifa so; ɔbɛdwerɛw ahemfo wɔ nʼabufuwhyew da no.
By your side will the Lord shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 Obebu amanaman atɛn aboaboa awufo ano; na wadwerɛw asodifo a wɔwɔ asase so nyinaa.
He will execute judgment filling the valleys with dead, the broad fields with shattered heads.
He will drink of the brook by the way, and march onward with uplifted head.
