1 Dawid dwom. Awurade mu na mede me werɛ ahyɛ. Adɛn na wutumi ka kyerɛ me se, “Tu te sɛ anomaa kɔ wo bepɔw so.
[For the Chief Musician. By David.] In Jehovah, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain."
2 Na hwɛ, amumɔyɛfo akuntun wɔn ta mu, na wɔde wɔn mmɛmma asisi ahama so sɛ wɔbɛtow wɔ sum mu de awɔ koma mu ahotefo.
For, look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 Sɛ wɔresɛe fapem no a, dɛn na ɔtreneeni betumi ayɛ?”
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 Awurade wɔ nʼasɔredan kronkron no mu; Awurade te ne soro ahengua so. Ɔhwɛ nnipa mma, nʼani hwehwɛ wɔn mu.
Jehovah is in his holy temple. Jehovah is on his throne in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyes examine the descendants of Adam.
5 Awurade hwehwɛ ɔtreneeni mu, na amumɔyɛfo ne wɔn a wɔpɛ basabasayɛ de, ne kra kyi wɔn.
Jehovah examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates.
6 Ɔbɛtɔ ogyatannaa ne sufre a ɛredɛw agu amumɔyɛfo so; na mframa a mu yɛ hyew bɛyɛ wɔn kyɛfa.
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 Awurade yɛ ɔtreneeni, na ɔpɛ atɛntrenee; wɔn a wɔteɛ no behu nʼanim. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo se wɔnto no wɔ “Seminit” sanku nne so.
For Jehovah is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
