< Nnwom 108 >
1 Dawid dwom. Onyankopɔn, me koma asi pi; mede me kra nyinaa bɛto wʼayeyi nnwom.
A Song, a Melody: David’s. Fixed, is my heart, O God, I will sing and touch the strings, even mine honour.
2 Munnyan, sanku ne bɛnta! Menyan anɔpahema.
Awake, O harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!
3 Awurade, mɛkamfo wo wɔ aman mu; mɛto wo ho nnwom wɔ nnipa no mu.
I will thank thee among the peoples, O Yahweh, and will sing praise unto thee, among the tribes of men.
4 Wʼadɔe so, ɛkorɔn sen ɔsoro; wo nokwaredi du wim.
For, great, above the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, and, as far as the skies, thy faithfulness.
5 Onyankopɔn, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔma wo so tra ɔsoro, na ama wʼanuonyam aba asase nyinaa so.
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, And, above all the earth, be thy glory.
6 Fa wo nsa nifa gye yɛn na boa yɛn, na ama wɔn a wodɔ wɔn no anya nkwa.
To the end thy beloved ones may be delivered, Oh save thou with thy right hand and answer me!
7 Onyankopɔn akasa afi ne kronkronbea se, “Nkonim mu na mɛkyɛ Sekem mu na masusuw Sukot Bon.
God, hath spoken in his holiness, I will exult! I will apportion Shechem! And, the Vale of Succoth, will I measure out;
8 Gilead yɛ me de; Manase nso saa ara; Efraim yɛ me dade kyɛw, Yuda yɛ mʼahempema.
Mine, is Gilead—mine, Manasseh, but, Ephraim, is the defence of my head, Judah, is my commander’s staff;
9 Moab yɛ me guasɛn, Edom so na metow me mpaboa gu; na meteɛ mu nkonimdi so gu Filistifo so.”
Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia, raise a shout of triumph.
10 Hena na ɔde me bɛkɔ kuropɔn a wɔabɔ ho ban no mu? Hena na obedi mʼanim akɔ Edom?
Who will conduct me to a fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?
11 Onyankopɔn, ɛnyɛ wo na woapo yɛn na wo ne yɛn asraafo nkɔ ɔsa bio ana?
Hast not thou, O God, rejected us? and wilt not go forth, O God, with our hosts.
12 Boa yɛn tia ɔtamfo no, na ɔdesani mmoa nka hwee.
Grant us help out of distress, for, vain, is the deliverance of man:
13 Onyankopɔn wɔ yɛn afa yi, yebedi nkonim, na obetiatia yɛn atamfo so.
In God, shall we do valiantly, He himself, therefore, shall tread down our adversaries.
