< Nnwom 105 >
1 Da Awurade ase na da ne kɛseyɛ adi. Ma wiase nyinaa nhu nea wayɛ.
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name: make known among the people his deeds.
2 Monto dwom mma no, monto ayeyi dwom mma no; monka nʼanwonwade no nyinaa.
Sing unto, him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
3 Monhoahoa mo ho wɔ ne din kronkron mu; momma wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no nnya koma mu anigye.
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 Momma mo ani nna Awurade ne nʼahoɔden no so; na monhwehwɛ nʼanim bere biara.
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
5 Monkae anwonwade a wayɛ ne nsɛnkyerɛnne, ne atɛn a obui,
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done; his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
6 Abraham mma, Onyankopɔn asomfo, Yakob mma a wapaw wɔn.
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
7 Ɔyɛ Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn. Nʼahenni da adi wɔ asase so nyinaa.
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
8 Ɔkae nʼapam daa nyinaa, asɛm a ɔhyɛ maa awo ntoantoaso apem no,
He remembereth his covenant for ever, the word which he hath commanded, to the thousandth generation.
9 apam a ɔne Abraham yɛe no, ntam a ɔka kyerɛɛ Isak no.
Which he covenanted with Abraham; and his oath unto Isaac;
10 Ɔhyɛɛ mu den maa Yakob sɛ mmara, de maa Israel sɛ apam a ɛbɛtena hɔ afebɔɔ.
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant:
11 Ɔkae se, “Mede Kanaan asase no bɛma wo sɛ kyɛfa a ɛbɛyɛ wʼagyapade.”
Saying, “Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance.”
12 Ɔkaa eyi bere a na wɔnnɔɔso, ahɔhokuw ketewa bi a wɔwɔ Kanaan.
When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it;
13 Wofii aman so kɔɔ aman so; fii ahemman mu kɔɔ ahemman mu.
And when they wandered from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people:
14 Wamma obi anhyɛ wɔn so; wɔn nti, ɔkaa ahene anim se:
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake;
15 “Mommfa mo nsa nka wɔn a masra wɔn ngo; na monnyɛ mʼadiyifo bɔne bi.”
[Saying, ] “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm,”—
16 Ɔmaa ɔkɔm baa asase no so na ɔsɛee akwan a wɔfa so nya wɔn aduan nyinaa;
And he called for a famine over the land; every staff of bread he broke.
17 na ɔsomaa ɔbarima bi dii wɔn anim, Yosef a wɔtɔn no sɛ akoa no.
He sent a man before them; for a servant was Joseph sold;
18 Wɔde mpokyerɛ guu ne nʼanan, na wɔde dade nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn hyɛɛ ne kɔn,
They forced into fetters his feet; in iron was his body put:
19 kosii sɛ nea ɔhyɛɛ ho nkɔm no baa mu, kosii sɛ Awurade asɛm no daa no adi sɛ ɔyɛ ɔnokwafo.
Until the time that his word came to pass, [when] the saying of the Lord had purified him.
20 Ɔhene no soma ma wokoyii no; aman no sodifo gyaa no.
The king sent and unfettered him; the ruler of people, and let him go free.
21 Ɔyɛɛ no ne fi so wura nea ɔwɔ nyinaa sodifo,
He appointed him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possession:
22 sɛ ɔnkyerɛ ne mmapɔmma nea ɔpɛ na ɔnkyerɛ ne mpanyimfo nyansa.
That he might bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his ancients wisdom.
23 Na Israel kɔɔ Misraim; Yakob kɔtenaa Ham asase so sɛ ɔnanani.
Then came Israel into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 Awurade maa ne nkurɔfo ase dɔe; ɔyɛɛ wɔn bebree dodo maa wɔn atamfo,
And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
25 wɔn a ɔdan wɔn koma sɛ wɔntan ne nkurɔfo na wɔmpam nʼasomfo ti so.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilely with his servants.
26 Ɔsomaa ne somfo Mose, ne Aaron a na wayi no no.
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron also whom he had made choice of.
27 Wɔyɛɛ ne nsɛnkyerɛnne nwonwaso wɔ wɔn mu, nʼanwonwade wɔ Ham asase so.
They displayed among them his effective signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Ɔsomaa sum, na ɔmaa asase duruu sum, efisɛ na wɔatew nʼasɛm no so atua.
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29 Ɔmaa wɔn nsu nyinaa dan mogya, nam so kum mu mpataa.
He changed their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30 Mpɔtorɔ bɛhyɛɛ asase no so ma, na wɔhyɛn ɔman no sodifo mpia mu.
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the very chambers of their kings.
31 Ɔkasae, na nwansena bebree ne ntontom baa ɔman no mu baabiara.
He spoke, and there came various wild beasts, lice also within all their boundary.
32 Ɔmaa wɔn osu dan mparuwbo a anyinam nenam mu wɔ ɔman no nyinaa mu;
He gave them as their rain hail, and flames of fire in their land.
33 Ɔsɛee wɔn bobe ne borɔdɔma nnua na obubuu ɔman no so nnua pasaa.
And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees within their boundary.
34 Ɔkasae, na mmoadabi bae, tɛwtɛw a wontumi nkan wɔn;
He spoke, and the locusts came, and crickets, and that without number;
35 wɔwee ahabammono biara a ɛwɔ wɔn asase no so, na wodii wɔn mfuw so nnuan.
And they ate up all the herbs in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 Afei okunkum wɔn asase so mmakan nyinaa, wɔn mmarimayɛ mu aba a edi kan nyinaa.
And he smote all the first-born in their land, the first of all their strength.
37 Oyii Israel a ɔso dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ fii wɔn mmusuakuw mu a obiara ho antɔ kyima.
And he brought them forth with silver and gold: and there was not one that stumbled among his tribes.
38 Misraim ani gyei, bere a wɔkɔe, efisɛ na Israelfo ho hu atɔ wɔn so.
Egypt rejoiced when they departed; for the dread of them was fallen upon them.
39 Ɔtrɛw omununkum mu kataa wɔn so, na ogya maa wɔn hann anadwo.
He spread out a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 Wobisae, na ɔbrɛɛ wɔn mparuwbo ɔmaa ɔsoro aduan mee wɔn.
The people asked, and he brought quails, and with heavenly bread he satisfied them.
41 Obuee ɔbotan mu maa nsu fii mu bae; na ɛsen faa sare no so sɛ asubɔnten.
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out: they ran in the dry places like a river.
42 Ɔkaee ne bɔ kronkron bi a ɔhyɛɛ ne somfo Abraham no.
For he remembered his holy word given to Abraham his servant.
43 Oyii ne nkurɔfo maa wɔn ani gyei; wɔn a wapaw wɔn no dii ahurusi;
And he brought forth his people with gladness, with joyful song his elect.
44 ɔde amanaman no nsase maa wɔn, na nea ebinom abrɛ anya no bɛyɛɛ wɔn agyapade
And he gave them the lands of nations; and the labor of people they obtained as an inheritance:
45 na wɔahwɛ nʼahyɛde adi ne mmara so. Munyi Awurade ayɛ.
So that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Hallelujah.
