1 Dawid de. Me kra, kamfo Awurade; na me mu ade nyinaa nkamfo ne din kronkron no.
A Psalme of David. My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and all that is within me, prayse his holy Name.
2 Me kra, kamfo Awurade, na mma wo werɛ mmfi ne nneyɛe pa nyinaa,
My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and forget not all his benefites.
3 ɔno na ɔde wo mfomso nyinaa kyɛ wo na ɔsa wo nyarewa nyinaa,
Which forgiueth all thine iniquitie, and healeth all thine infirmities.
4 ogye wo nkwa fi ɔda mu, na ɔde adɔe ne mmɔborɔhunu bɔ wo abotiri,
Which redeemeth thy life from the graue, and crowneth thee with mercy and compassions.
5 ɔde nnepa ma wo sɛ wʼapɛde, na wo mmerantebere yɛ foforo sɛ ɔkɔre.
Which satisfieth thy mouth with good things: and thy youth is renued like the eagles.
6 Awurade yɛ adetrenee, na obu wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so nyinaa atɛntrenee.
The Lord executeth righteousnes and iudgement to all that are oppressed.
7 Ɔkyerɛɛ Mose nʼakwan, na ɔmaa Israelfo huu ne nneyɛe.
He made his wayes knowen vnto Moses, and his workes vnto the children of Israel.
8 Mmɔborɔhunufo ne ɔdomfo ne Awurade, ne bo kyɛ fuw na nʼadɔe dɔɔso.
The Lord is full of compassion and mercie, slowe to anger and of great kindnesse.
9 Ɔrenkɔ so mmɔ sobo, na ɔrennya yɛn ho menasepɔw nkosi daa;
He will not alway chide, neither keepe his anger for euer.
10 Ɔnhwɛ yɛn bɔne ne yɛn nni sɛnea ɛfata na ontua yɛn nnebɔne so ka sɛnea ɛte.
He hath not dealt with vs after our sinnes, nor rewarded vs according to our iniquities.
11 Na sɛnea ɔsoro ne asase ntam ware no, saa ara na nʼadɔe so wɔ wɔn a wosuro no no so.
For as high as the heauen is aboue ye earth, so great is his mercie toward them that feare him.
12 Sɛnea apuei ne atɔe ntam ware no, saa ara na wama yɛn ne yɛn mmarato ntam kwan aware.
As farre as the East is from the West: so farre hath he remooued our sinnes from vs.
13 Sɛnea agya yam hyehyew no wɔ ne mma ho no, saa ara na Awurade yam hyehye no ma wɔn a wosuro no no;
As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that feare him.
14 na onim sɛnea wɔyɛɛ yɛn, ɔkae se yɛyɛ mfutuma.
For he knoweth whereof we be made: he remembreth that we are but dust.
15 Ɔdesani de, ne nna te sɛ sare, ɔyɛ frɔmfrɔm sɛ nwura mu nhwiren;
The dayes of man are as grasse: as a flowre of the fielde, so florisheth he.
16 sɛ mframa bɔ fa ne so a, na onni hɔ, na ne sibea nkae no bio.
For the winde goeth ouer it, and it is gone, and the place thereof shall knowe it no more.
17 Nanso efi mmeresanten kosi nnasanten Awurade adɔe wɔ wɔn a wosuro no so, na ne trenee wɔ wɔn mma mma so,
But the louing kindnesse of the Lord endureth for euer and euer vpon them that feare him, and his righteousnes vpon childrens children,
18 wɔn a wodi nʼapam no so na wɔkae di ne mmara so.
Vnto them that keepe his couenant, and thinke vpon his commandements to doe them.
19 Awurade asi nʼahengua wɔ ɔsoro, na nʼahenni di ade nyinaa so.
The Lord hath prepared his throne in heauen, and his Kingdome ruleth ouer all.
20 Monkamfo Awurade, mo a moyɛ nʼabɔfo, mo atumfo a moyɛ nʼahyɛde, mo a mutie nʼasɛm.
Prayse the Lord, ye his Angels, that excell in strength, that doe his commandement in obeying the voyce of his worde.
21 Monkamfo Awurade, ɔsoro asafo nyinaa, nʼasomfo a moyɛ nʼapɛde.
Prayse the Lord, all ye his hostes, ye his seruants that doe his pleasure.
22 Monkamfo Awurade, ne nnwuma nyinaa; nea ɛwɔ nʼahenni mu nyinaa. Me kra, kamfo Awurade!
Prayse the Lord, all ye his workes, in all places of his dominion: my soule, prayse thou the Lord.
