< 4 Mose 8 >
1 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,
2 “Ka kyerɛ Aaron se, ‘Sɛ wosɔ akanea ason a ɛwɔ kaneadua no so no a, sɔ no sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, ɛbɛtow ne hann no akɔ kaneadua no nʼanim.’”
Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3 Aaron yɛɛ saa; ɔsɔɔ akanea no ma ɛtow hann kɔɔ kaneadua no anim, sɛnea Awurade hyɛɛ Mose no.
And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
4 Sɛnea Wosi yɛɛ kaneadua no ni: Sikakɔkɔɔ a wɔaboro na wɔde yɛ fii nʼase kosi ne soro. Wɔyɛɛ no sɛnea Awurade kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ wɔnyɛ no ara pɛ.
And this was the work of the candlestick: [it was] of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.
5 Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
6 “Yi Lewifo no fi Israelfo no mu na tew wɔn ho.
Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7 Sɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn ho ni yɛ eyi: Fa ahodwira nsu pete wɔn so. Ma wonyi wɔn ho nwi nyinaa, na wɔnhoro wɔn nneɛma nyinaa, na ama wɔn ho atew.
And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.
8 Afei, ma wɔmfa nantwinini ba ne aduan afɔrebɔde a ɛyɛ asikresiam a wɔayam no muhumuhu a wɔde ngo afra a nantwinini ba baako ka ho a wɔde no bɛbɔ bɔne ho afɔre mmra.
And they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.
9 Frɛ Israelfo no nyinaa hyia na fa Lewifo no bra Ahyiae Ntamadan no pon ano.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.
10 Ɛhɔ na mpanyimfo a wotuatua mmusuakuw no ano no de wɔn nsa begu wɔn so.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.
And Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.
And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.
13 Afei, wɔde Lewifo no bɛma Aaron ne ne mma te sɛnea wɔde afɔrebɔde biara fa asɔfo so de ma Awurade no.”
And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.
14 Mobɛfa saa kwan yi so ayi Lewifo no afi Israelfo no mu ama me, na wɔayɛ me dea.
And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.
15 “Sɛ motew wɔn ho na mofa saa kwan yi so de wɔn ma me a, afei, wobedi ahyɛmfiri wɔ Ahyiae Ntamadan no mu, adi wɔn dwuma.
And afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.
16 Israelfo mu nyinaa, wɔn na wɔyɛ me nkurɔfo, na magye wɔn ato mu asi Israelfo mmakan nyinaa anan, Israelni bea biara abakan barima.
For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17 Israel abakan biara yɛ me de; nnipa ne mmoa nyinaa. Bere a mikunkum Misraimfo mmakan nyinaa no ara na mefaa wɔn de wɔn yɛɛ me nkurɔfo.
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.
18 Mafa Lewifo no asi Israelfo mmakan nyinaa anan mu.
And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
19 Na mede Lewifo no bɛkyɛ Aaron ne ne mmabarima. Lewifo no na wɔbɛyɛ Ahyiae Ntamadan no mu nnwuma kronkron a anka ɛsɛ sɛ Israelfo no na wɔyɛ, na wɔn na wɔbɛbɔ afɔre ama nkurɔfo de ayɛ mpata ama wɔn sɛnea sɛ Israelfo no kɔ kronkronbea hɔ a ɔyaredɔm biara renka wɔn.”
And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.
20 Mose ne Aaron ne Israelfo no nyinaa faa ɔkwan a Awurade kyerɛɛ Mose no so pɛpɛɛpɛ de Lewifo no maa Awurade.
And Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.
21 Lewifo no dwiraa wɔn ho, horoo wɔn nneɛma. Na Aaron de wɔn hyɛɛ Awurade nsa sɛ ohim afɔre na ɔyɛɛ wɔn ho mpata adwuma de tew wɔn ho.
And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 Ɛno akyi no, Lewifo no kɔyɛɛ adwuma wɔ Ahyiae Ntamadan no mu a na Aaron ne ne mmabarima no hwɛ wɔn so Wɔyɛɛ biribiara sɛnea Awurade hyɛɛ Mose sɛ wɔnyɛ no.
And afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.
23 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
24 “Eyi kɔ ma Lewifo no: Sɛ Lewini barima biara di mfe aduonu anum a, ma no nsom wɔ Ahyiae Ntamadan mu,
This is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.
25 na sɛ wodi mfe aduonum a, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔapɔn fi adwuma mu a wɔnnyɛ adwuma bio.
And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;
26 Sɛ wɔpɔn a, wotumi adi dwuma wɔ Ahyiae Ntamadan mu hɔ de boa wɔn nuanom, mmom wɔn ankasa de, ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔhyɛ da yɛ adwuma. Eyi ne ɔkwan a momfa so mma Lewifo no adwuma nyɛ.”
but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve [in] the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.
