1 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 “Ka kyerɛ Israelfo no se: ‘Sɛ mubedu Kanaan asase no so a, asase a mede rema mo sɛ mo ankasa asase no a, sɛɛ na mo ahye bɛyɛ:
Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.
3 “‘Asase no anafo fam no bɛyɛ Sin sare so a ɛda Edom hye ano no fa bi. Anafo hye no ano befi apuei fam, Nkyene Po no anafo.
Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:
4 Ɛbɛtoa so akɔtra Akrabbim wɔ anafo hɔ a ɛrekɔ Sin no. Nʼanafo pa ara no bɛyɛ Kades-Barnea, na efi hɔ akosi Hasarada de akowie Asmon.
and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;
5 Efi Asmon a, ɔhye no bɛkɔ ara akosi Misraim asuwa no mu na ano akɔpem Ntam Po no ano.
then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.
6 Mo hye a ɛwɔ atɔe no bɛyɛ Ntam Po no ano.
And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.
7 Mo hye a ɛda atifi no befi ase wɔ Ntam Po no ano na atoa so akosi bepɔw Hor,
And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:
8 de akɔ Lebo Hamat na akɔ Sedad
From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:
9 na atoa so akɔ Sifron na akowie wɔ Hasar-Enan.
then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.
10 Apuei hye no befi Hasar-Enan akɔ Sefam.
Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;
11 Ɔhye no besian afi Sefam akosi Ribla wɔ Ain apuei fam. Efi hɔ a, ebesiansian afa mmepɔw no ase wɔ Galilea Po no apuei fam.
and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:
12 Ɔhye no besian afa Asubɔnten Yordan ho na akɔpem Nkyene Po no. “‘Sɛnea mo nsase ne mo ahye te ni.’”
then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.
13 Afei Mose hyɛɛ Israelfo no se, “Momfa ntontobɔ so nkyekyɛ asase yi sɛ mo agyapade. Awurade ahyɛ sɛ wɔmfa mma mmusua akron ne fa no,
And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.
14 efisɛ Ruben ne Gad mmusuakuw no ne Manase abusua no fa no de, wɔanya wɔn agyapade dedaw.
For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:
15 Saa mmusua abien ne fa yi anya wɔn agyapade wɔ Yeriko akyi, Yordan apuei fam a ɛhwɛ apuei no.”
the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.
16 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
17 “Nnipa a wɔn din didi so yi na mayi wɔn sɛ wɔnkyekyɛ asase no mu mma mo sɛ mo agyapade: Ɔsɔfo Eleasar ne, Nun babarima Yosua.
These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.
18 Yi abusua biara mu ɔpanyin baako na ɔmmoa nkyekyɛ asase no.
Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.
19 “Wɔn din na edidi so yi: “Yefune babarima Kaleb, Yuda abusuakuw ntuanoni;
These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
20 Amihud babarima Semuel, Simeon abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:
21 Kislon babarima Elidad, Benyamin abusuakuw ntuanoni;
For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;
22 Yogli babarima Buki, Dan abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:
23 Efod babarima Haniel, Yosef babarima Manase abusuakuw ntuanoni;
For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;
24 Siftan babarima Kemuel, Yosef babarima Efraim abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;
25 Parknak babarima Elisafan, Sebulon abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;
26 Asan babarima Paltiel, Isakar abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;
27 Selomi babarima Ahihud, Aser abusuakuw ntuanoni;
And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:
28 Amihud babarima Pedahel, Naftali abusuakuw ntuanoni.”
And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.
29 Saa nnipa yi na Awurade yii wɔn sɛ wɔnhwɛ nkyekyɛ agyapade no mu mma Israelfo no wɔ Kanaan asase so no.
These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
