< Mateo 8 >
1 Bere a Yesu sian bepɔw no, dɔm dii nʼakyi.
And when he came down from the mountain, there followed him large multitudes.
2 Ɔkwatani bi baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛkotow no srɛɛ no se, “Me wura, mesrɛ wo, sɛ ɛyɛ wo pɛ a, sa me yare.”
And lo! a leper, coming near, began to bow down to him saying, —Lord! if thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me.
3 Yesu teɛɛ ne nsa de kaa ɔkwatani no kae se, “Mɛsa wo yare. Wo ho mfi!” Amono mu hɔ ara, kwata no fii ne ho.
And, stretching forth the hand, he touched him, saying, —I am willing, be cleansed! And, straightway, cleansed was his leprosy.
4 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Wo ne obiara nni wʼayaresa yi ho nkɔmmɔ. Kɔ na fa wo ho kɔkyerɛ ɔsɔfo, na bɔ afɔre a Mose hyɛɛ sɛ wɔmmɔ sɛ adansede no.”
And Jesus saith unto him, Mind! tell, no one, —but withdraw, thyself, shew to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses directed, for a witness unto them.
5 Yesu kɔɔ Kapernaum. Oduu hɔ no, Roma asraafo ɔha so panyin bi baa ne kyɛn bebuu no nkotodwe kae se,
And, when he entered into Capernaum, there came near unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6 “Awurade, mʼabofra abubu gu hɔ a ɔrehu amane; mesrɛ wo, bɛsa no yare ma me.”
and saying, Lord! my servant, is laid prostrate in the house, a paralytic, fearfully tortured.
7 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Mɛba abɛsa no yare.”
He saith unto him, I, will come and cure him.
8 Asraafo ha so panyin no tee Yesu asɛm a ɔkae no, ɔkae se, “Awurade, memfata sɛ woba me fi. Ka biribi na mʼabofra no ho bɛyɛ no den.
But the centurion, answering, said, Lord! I am of no consideration, that, under my roof, thou shouldest enter, —but, only say with a word, and healed shall be my servant.
9 Meyɛ obi a mehyɛ tumi ase, na mesan wɔ asraafo a wɔhyɛ mʼase. Meka kyerɛ wɔn mu bi sɛ ɔnkɔ a, ɔkɔ. Meka kyerɛ ɔfoforo se ɔmmra a, ɔba. Saa ara nso na mehyɛ me somfo sɛ ɔnyɛ biribi a, ɔyɛ ara ne no.”
For, I also, am a man [set] under authority, having under myself, soldiers, —and I say to this one, Go! and he goeth, and to another, Come! and he cometh, and, to my servant, Do this! and he doeth it.
10 Yesu tee saa asɛm no, ɛyɛɛ no nwonwa. Ɔdan nʼani, ka kyerɛɛ nnipadɔm a wodi nʼakyi no se, “Israelman mu nyinaa, minhuu gyidi a ɛte sɛɛ da.
Now Jesus, hearing, marveled, and said to them that followed, —Verily, I say unto you, With no one in Israel, such faith as this, have I found.
11 Na mereka akyerɛ mo se, nnipa pii befi apuei ne atɔe aba na wɔne Abraham, Isak ne Yakob abɛtena ase wɔ ɔsoro Ahenni no mu.
But I say unto you, Many from east and west, will have come, and shall recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of the heavens;
12 Na Israelfo a wosiesiee ɔsoro ahenni maa wɔn no mu pii wɔ hɔ a wɔde wɔn nsa begu wɔn ti atwa agyaadwo na wɔatow wɔn agu sum kabii mu ama ɔyaw.”
Whereas, the sons of the kingdom, shall be cast forth into the darkness outside, —There, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
13 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ asraafo so panyin no se, “Kɔ fie. Nea wugye di no mmra mu saa mma wo!” Abofra no ho tɔɔ no saa bere no ara mu!
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Withdraw! and, as thou hast believed, be it done for thee. And healed was the servant in that hour.
14 Yesu kɔɔ Petro fi. Ɔkɔtoo sɛ atiridii akyere Petro asebea ma ɔda hɔ.
And Jesus, coming into the house of Peter, saw his mother-in-law laid prostrate and in a fever,
15 Yesu soo ne nsa mu maa atiridii no tu fii no so. Ɔsɔre noaa aduan maa wɔn.
and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, —and she arose, and began ministering unto him.
16 Saa da no anwummere no, wɔde wɔn a wɔwɔ ahonhommɔne pii brɛɛ Yesu. Nʼanom asɛm a ɔkae no maa ahonhommɔne no nyinaa tu yerae, na wɔn a wɔyare no nyinaa nso ho tɔɔ wɔn.
But, when, evening, came, they brought unto him many demonized, —and he cast out the spirits with a word, and, all who were sick, he cured:
17 Eyi maa nea Odiyifo Yesaia kae se, “Ɔfaa yɛn ahoɔmmerɛw, na ɔsoaa yɛn nyarewa nyinaa” no baa mu.
that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, —Himself, our weaknesses, took, and, diseases, bare.
18 Yesu huu sɛ dɔm no redɔɔso no, ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, wontwa ɔtare no nkɔ nʼagya nohɔ.
Now Jesus, seeing a multitude about him, gave orders to depart unto the other side.
19 Ɛhɔ ara Yudani kyerɛkyerɛfo bi ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, baabiara a wobɛkɔ no, medi wʼakyi!”
And a certain scribe, coming near, said unto him, —Teacher; I will follow thee, whithersoever Thou goest.
20 Yesu buaa no se, “Sakraman wɔ wɔn abon, wim nnomaa nso wɔ mmerebuw, nanso me, Onipa Ba no de, minni baabi a mede me ti to!”
And Jesus saith unto him: The foxes, have, dens, and, the birds of the heavens, nests, —but, the Son of Man, hath not where, his head he may recline.
21 Asuafo no mu baako bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Owura, ma me kwan na minkosie mʼagya ansa na mabedi wʼakyi.”
And, another of the disciples, saith unto him, —Lord! suffer me, first, to depart, and bury my father.
22 Nanso Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Di mʼakyi. Wɔn a wɔawu no nsie wɔn awufo.”
But, Jesus, saith unto him, —Be following me, and leave, the dead, to bury, their own dead.
23 Yesu saa nyarewa no wiee no, ɔkɔtenaa ɔkorow mu na nʼasuafo no dii nʼakyi.
And, when he, entered, into a boat, his disciples followed him.
24 Prɛko pɛ, ahum kɛse bi tu maa asorɔkye bu bɛkataa ɔkorow no so. Nanso na Yesu de, wada.
And lo! a great squall, arose in the sea, so that, the boat, was being covered, by the waves, —but, he, was sleeping.
25 Nʼasuafo no de nteɛteɛmu kɔɔ ne nkyɛn, konyan no kae se, “Awurade! Gye yɛn na yɛreyɛ amem!”
And, coming near, they aroused him, saying, Master! save, we perish!
26 Yesu nyanee no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mo a mo gyidi sua, adɛn na moabɔ hu saa?” Ɛhɔ ara, ɔsɔre teɛteɛɛ ahum ne asorɔkye no ma ɛyɛɛ dinn.
And he saith unto them, Why, are ye, fearful, little of faith? Then, aroused, he rebuked the winds and the sea, —and it became a great calm.
27 Asuafo no ho dwiriw wɔn yiye. Wobisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Onipa bɛn mpo ni a ahum ne ɛpo tie no yi?”
But, the men, marveled, saying, Whence is this one, —that, both the winds and the sea, unto him, give ear?
28 Yesu ne nʼasuafo no duu asuogya wɔ Gadarafo asase so no, nnipa baanu bi a ahonhommɔne wɔ wɔn so fii amusiei behyiaa no. Esiane sɛ na saa nnipa yi yɛ keka nti, na obiara ntumi mfa faako a wɔwɔ hɔ.
And, when he, came, unto the other side, into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him, two men demonized, out of the tombs, coming forth, —fierce exceedingly, so that no one could pass that way;
29 Wohuu no pɛ, wofii ase teɛteɛɛ mu se, “Onyankopɔn Ba, dɛn na worehwehwɛ afi yɛn nkyɛn? Woaba ha sɛ worebɛyɛ yɛn ayayade wɔ bere a mmere no nsoe ana?”
and lo! they cried aloud, saying, What have we in common with thee, O Son of God? Hast thou come hither, before the right time, to torment us?
30 Saa bere koro no ara mu, na mprakokuw bi redidi wɔ nkyɛn baabi.
Now there was, far from them, a herd of many swine, feeding;
31 Ahonhommɔne no srɛɛ Yesu se, “Sɛ wutu yɛn a, fa yɛn kɔhyɛ mprakokuw yi mu.”
and, the demons, began to beseech him, saying, If thou dost cast us out, send us away, into the herd of swine.
32 Yesu teɛɛ wɔn se, “Mumfi!” Ɛhɔ ara ahonhommɔne no fii nnipa no mu, kowuraa mprako no mu. Mprakokuw no nyinaa de mmirika sian bepɔw no, koguu ɛpo no mu ma ɛfaa wɔn.
And he said unto them, Withdraw! So, they, going out, departed into the swine, —and lo! all the herd rushed down the cliff, into the sea, and died in the waters.
33 Ntɛm ara, wɔn a wɔhwɛ mprako no so no tuu mmirika kɔɔ kurom, kɔkaa nea asi no kyerɛɛ nkurɔfo.
And, they who were feeding them, fled, —and, departing into the city, reported all things, and what concerned them who had been demonized.
34 Kurom hɔfo no tee nea aba no, wɔbɔɔ twi kɔɔ nea Yesu wɔ hɔ no. Wohuu Yesu no, wɔsrɛɛ no sɛ omfi wɔn man mu hɔ nkɔ.
And lo! all the city, came out to meet Jesus, —and, seeing him, they besought that he would pass on from their bounds.
