< Mateo 7 >
1 “Mummmu ntɛn, na afoforo ammu mo ntɛn.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 Nea mode yɛ afoforo no, ɛno ara na wɔde bɛyɛ mo.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 “Adɛn na woma dua ntɛtɛ a ɛda wo nua ani so no haw wo, bere a mpuran a ɛda wo de so no mfa wo ho?
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na woatumi aka akyerɛ wo nua se, ‘Ma minyi ntɛtɛ a ɛda wʼani so no mma wo,’ bere a mpuran da wʼani so daa.
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
5 Nyaatwomni! Di kan yi mpuran a ɛda wʼankasa ani so no ansa na woatumi ahu ntɛtɛ a ɛda wo nua ani so no yiye na woayi ama no.
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 “Mommfa nea ɛho tew mma akraman. Saa ara nso na monntow mo nhene pa ngu mprako anim! Wobetiatia so, na wɔadan wɔn ho atow ahyɛ mo so.
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 “Mummisa, na wɔbɛma mo; monhwehwɛ, na mubehu; mompem, na wobebue mo.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 Na obiara a obisa no, onya. Obiara a ɔhwehwɛ no, ohu; na nea ɔpem no, wobue no.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 “Na hena na ne ba bisa no brodo a ɔbɛma no ɔbo?
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Anaasɛ obisa no nsumnam a ɔbɛma no ɔwɔ? Ɛremma saa da!
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 Na sɛ mo a moyɛ abɔnefo mpo nim sɛnea moma mo mma nnepa a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na mo Agya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no mfa nnepa mma ne mma wɔn a wobisa no no?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Enti sɛnea mmara no ne adiyifo no ka no, ade biara a mopɛ sɛ nnipa nyɛ mma mo no, mo nso monyɛ mma wɔn saa ara.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Ɔkwan teateaa no nko ara so na wubetumi afa akɔ ɔsoro! Ɔkwan a ɛkɔ ɔbonsam kurom no trɛw, na nʼapon nso mu bae ma nnipadɔm a wɔfa so kɔ ɔsɛe mu.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Ɔpon a wowura mu de kɔ nkwa mu no yɛ hiahiaa na ɔkwan a wɔfa so no nso yɛ teateaa, na nnipa kakraa bi na wohu fa so.
Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 “Monhwɛ mo ho yiye wɔ atoro akyerɛkyerɛfo a wɔba mo nkyɛn ahobrɛase mu sɛ nguan, nanso wɔyɛ mpataku a wonya mo a, wɔbɛtetew mo pasaa no ho.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Wɔn nneyɛe na mode behu wɔn, sɛnea mutumi de dua bi aba hu dua ko a ɛyɛ no. Worentumi ntew bobe wɔ nsɔe so; saa ara nso na worentumi ntew borɔdɔma wɔ nnɛnkyɛnse so.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Dua a ɛwɔ nnyinaso pa no tumi sow aba pa; na dua a enni nnyinaso pa no nso sow aba bɔne.
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 Dua pa ntumi nsow aba bɔne; saa ara nso na dua bɔne ntumi nsow aba pa.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Dua biara a ɛnsow aba pa no, wotwa de gu gya mu hyew no.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Onipa nneyɛe na ɛma wohu ne suban.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 “Ɛnyɛ obiara a ɔbɔ me din ‘Awurade, Awurade’ no na ɔbɛkɔ ɔsoro ahemman mu.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Atemmu da no, nnipa pii bɛka akyerɛ me se, ‘Awurade, yɛkaa wo ho asɛm kyerɛɛ afoforo. Yɛnam wo din nso so tuu ahonhommɔne, san yɛɛ anwonwade, ahorow.’
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 Na mabua wɔn se, ‘Minnim mo da. Mumfi me so nkɔ, nnebɔneyɛfo!’
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 “Wɔn a wotie nea meka, na wodi so no te sɛ onyansafo a osi ne dan si ɔbotan so.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 Osu tɔe, na osuframa bɔe, na nsu yirii, na emu biara kaa ɔdan no nanso ammu da, efisɛ wosi sii ɔbotan so.
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 Nanso wɔn a wotie nea meka na wonni so no te sɛ ɔkwasea bi a osii ne dan sii nwea so.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 Osu tɔe, na osuframa bɔe, na nsu yirii, na emu biara kaa ɔdan no. Na edwiriw guu fam, bubuu pasaa.”
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 Yesu asɛnka no maa nnipadɔm a wotiee no no nyinaa ho dwiriw wɔn,
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 efisɛ ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ te sɛ obi a okura tumi, na ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no nte sɛ nea Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo no kyerɛ no.
For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.
