< Mateo 26 >
1 Yesu wiee nsɛm yi nyinaa ka no, ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se,
When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples,
2 “Sɛnea munim no aka nnaanu na Twam Afahyɛ no adu, na wobeyi Onipa Ba no ama, na wɔabɔ no asennua mu.”
“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
3 Saa bere no ara na asɔfo mpanyin ne Yudafo mpanyin bi ahyia mu wɔ Ɔsɔfopanyin Kaiafa fi,
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,
4 retu agyina ahwehwɛ ɔkwan a wɔbɛfa so akyere Yesu, akum no a obiara renhu akyi.
and they plotted together to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.
5 Nanso wɔkae se, “Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔkyere no Twam Afahyɛ no mu, anyɛ saa a, ɛde basabasayɛ bɛba ɔman no mu.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be a riot among the people.”
6 Afei Yesu kɔɔ Betania na ɔkɔɔ Simon ɔkwatani fi.
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 Ɔwɔ hɔ redidi no, ɔbea bi a okura ngo huamhuam bi a ne bo yɛ den yiye toa ma baa hɔ, behwie guu Yesu tirim.
a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at the table.
8 Asuafo no hui no, anyɛ wɔn dɛ. Wɔkae se, “Adesɛe yi ase ne dɛn?
When his disciples saw it, they were indignant and said, “Why this waste?
9 Anka wobetumi atɔn srade huamhuam yi anya sika bebree de ama ahiafo.”
This ointment could have been sold for a large sum, and the money could have been given to the poor.”
10 Yesu huu wɔn adwene na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Adɛn na mohaw ɔbea yi? Wayɛ ade pa ama me.
Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you causing trouble for this woman? She has done a good deed to me.
11 Mo ne ahiafo wɔ ha daa na me de, me ne mo nni hɔ daa.
You always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me.
12 Wahwie ngo huamhuam yi agu me so de asiesie me nipadua ama me sie.
She has put this ointment on my body to prepare me for burial.
13 Nokware, mise mo sɛ, wɔbɛka nea ɔyɛe yi wɔ wiase baabiara a wɔka asɛmpa no de akae no.”
Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial to her.”
14 Afei Yuda Iskariot a ɔyɛ asuafo dumien no mu baako kɔɔ asɔfo mpanyin no nkyɛn
Then one of the twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 kobisaa wɔn se, “Sɛ miyi Yesu ma mo a, ahe na mode bɛma me?” Wɔmaa no dwetɛ mpɔw aduasa.
and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him up to you?” So they set out for him thirty pieces of silver.
16 Efi saa bere no, Yuda hwehwɛɛ ɔkwan a ɔbɛfa so ayi no ama wɔn.
And from then on he was looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
17 Apiti Afahyɛ da a edi kan no, asuafo no baa Yesu nkyɛn bebisaa no se, “Ɛhe na wopɛ sɛ yekodi Twam Afahyɛ no?”
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and said to him, “Where do yoʋ want us to make preparations for yoʋ to eat the Passover?”
18 Obuaa wɔn se, “Monkɔ kurow no mu nkohu ɔpanyin asiamasi nka nkyerɛ no se, ‘Kyerɛkyerɛfo no se, Me bere abɛn, na wo fi na me ne nʼasuafo no bedi Twam Afahyɛ no.’”
He said, “Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I am going to keep the Passover with yoʋ, along with my disciples.”’”
19 Asuafo no dii nea ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn no so, yɛɛ Twam Afahyɛ aduan no.
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
20 Anwummere no na ɔne Dumien no te adidii.
When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve.
21 Wɔredidi no ɔkae se, “Mereka mo nokware, mo mu baako beyi me ama.”
As they were eating, he said, “Truly I say to you, one of you will betray me.”
22 Asɛm yi maa wɔn werɛ howee yiye, na wofii ase bisabisaa mmaako mmaako se, “Awurade, ɛyɛ me ana?”
Greatly distressed, they began to say to him one after another, “Surely not I, Lord?”
23 Yesu buae se, “Nea ɔne me nsa da asanka baako mu no, ɔno na obeyi me ama.
Jesus answered, “The one who has dipped his hand with me into the dish will betray me.
24 Onipa Ba no rekɔ sɛnea wɔakyerɛw afa ne ho de, nanso onipa a obeyi no ama no, nnue! Sɛ wɔanwo saa onipa no mpo a, anka eye.”
The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”
25 Yuda a obeyi no ama nso bisaa no se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, ɛyɛ me ana?” Yesu buaa no se, “Woaka.”
Then Judas, who betrayed him, replied, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have said it yoʋrself.”
26 Bere a wɔredidi no. Yesu faa brodo, na ohyiraa so bubuu mu, de maa nʼasuafo no kae se: “Munnye nni, eyi ne me nipadua.”
As they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take and eat this bread; this is my body.”
27 Na ɔfaa kuruwa no, na ɔdaa ase no, ɔde maa wɔn kae se, “Mo nyinaa monnom bi,
Then he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you,
28 na eyi ne me mogya a ɛhyɛ Apam Foforo no mu den, a wohwie gu ma nnipa bebree nya bɔnefakyɛ.
for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
29 Mise mo sɛ, merennom saa nsa yi bi bio da, de bɛkɔ akosi da a me ne mo bɛnom bi bio wɔ mʼAgya Ahenni no mu.”
But I tell you, from this point forward I will certainly not drink again from this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it with you anew in the kingdom of my Father.”
30 Na wɔtoo dwom wiee no, wofii adi kɔɔ Ngo Bepɔw no so.
And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Anadwo yi, mo nyinaa beguan agya me. Na wɔakyerɛw se, “‘wɔbɛbɔ oguanhwɛfo no, na nguankuw no abɔ apete.’
Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32 Na sɛ miwu sɔre a, medi mo kan akɔ Galilea.”
But after I have been raised up, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”
33 Petro buae se, “Sɛ nnipa nyinaa beguan agya wo a, me de, merenguan nnya wo da.”
Peter answered him, “Even if everyone else falls away because of yoʋ, I will never fall away.”
34 Yesu buae se, “Nokware mise wo sɛ, ansa na akokɔ bɛbɔn no, na woapa me mprɛnsa!”
Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to yoʋ that on this night, before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.”
35 Petro pae mu kae se, “Mpo sɛ etwa sɛ me ne wo wu a, merempa wo da!” Asuafo no nyinaa nso kaa saa asɛm koro yi ara.
But Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with yoʋ, I will certainly not deny yoʋ.” And all the disciples said the same thing.
36 Yesu de wɔn kɔɔ baabi a wɔfrɛ hɔ Getsemane. Woduu hɔ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Montena ha na merekɔ hɔ akɔbɔ mpae.”
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37 Ɔfaa Petro ne Sebedeo mma baanu no kaa ne ho, na ne werɛ fii ase howee, na ne ho nso yeraw no.
And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and distressed.
38 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Awerɛhow ahyɛ me kra so de kɔ owu mu. Montena ha na mo ne me nwɛn.”
Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to the point of death; stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Na ɔkɔɔ nʼanim kakra, de nʼanim kobutuw fam bɔɔ mpae se, “MʼAgya, sɛ ebetumi a, ma wonyi kuruwa yi mfi me so. Nanso nea wopɛ na ɛnyɛ na ɛnyɛ nea mepɛ.”
And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed, “My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as yoʋ will.”
40 Na ɔsan baa asuafo baasa no nkyɛn behuu sɛ wɔadeda. Ɔfrɛɛ Petro bisaa no se, “Petro, woantumi antena ase ne me anwɛn dɔnhwerew baako pɛ mpo?
Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?
41 Monwɛn na mommɔ mpae, na moankɔ sɔhwɛ mu. Honhom no pɛ de, nanso ɔhonam no yɛ mmerɛw!”
Keep watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 Ɔsan gyaw wɔn hɔ nea ɛto so abien kɔbɔɔ mpae se, “MʼAgya, sɛ wɔrenyi kuruwa yi mfi me so, na nom ara na ɛsɛ sɛ menom a, nea wopɛ nyɛ.”
Again, he went away for a second time and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass from me unless I drink it, may yoʋr will be done.”
43 Ɔsan baa wɔn nkyɛn bio behuu wɔn sɛ wɔadeda efisɛ na wɔn ani kum yiye.
Then he came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy.
44 Ɔsan kɔɔ mpaebɔ a ɛto so abiɛsa so kɔbɔɔ mpae kaa asɛm koro no ara.
So he left them and went away again and prayed for a third time, saying the same thing.
45 Ɔsan baa asuafo no nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Afei de, monna na monhome. Nanso dɔn no adu. Wɔrebeyi Onipa Ba no ahyɛ nnebɔneyɛfo nsa!
Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Sleep on now and take your rest! Behold, the hour has drawn near, and the Son of Man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.
46 Monsɔre na yɛnkɔ! Monhwɛ! Nea ɔreyi me ama no na ɔreba no!”
Rise, let us go. Behold, my betrayer has drawn near.”
47 Ogu so rekasa no, Yuda a ɔyɛ asuafo dumien no mu baako ne dɔm a Yudafo mpanyin asoma wɔn a wokurakura afoa ne nkontimmaa baa hɔ.
While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came. With him was a large crowd with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Na Yuda aka akyerɛ wɔn se, “Nea mefew nʼafono no ne onipa no; mokyere no”
Now his betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I kiss, he is the one; arrest him.”
49 Yuda baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛbam no kae se, “Me wura!” Na ofew nʼafono.
Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him.
50 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Damfo, nea wobaa ha se worebɛyɛ no, yɛ no ntɛm.” Ɛhɔ ara, wɔn a wɔne Yuda nam no kyeree Yesu.
Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have yoʋ come?” Then they came forward, took hold of Jesus, and arrested him.
51 Wɔn a wɔka Yesu ho no mu baako twee nʼafoa de twaa Ɔsɔfopanyin no akoa bi aso.
And behold, one of the men with Jesus stretched out his hand, drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
52 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Fa wʼafoa no to nea ɛda. Na wɔn a wɔtwe afoa no, afoa ano na wobewu.
Then Jesus said to him, “Put yoʋr sword back in its place, for all who take the sword will die by the sword.
53 Munnim sɛ metumi aka akyerɛ mʼAgya na wasoma nʼabɔfo mpempem aba ntɛm so, na wɔabɛbɔ yɛn ho ban?
Or do yoʋ think that I cannot call on my Father right now, and he will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Nanso sɛ meyɛ saa a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na nea Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se ɛsɛ sɛ esi wɔ eyi ho no bɛba mu?”
How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”
55 Bere no mu ara na Yesu bisaa dɔm a wɔbaa ne so no se, “Midi atuatewfo anim nti na mode afoa ne nkontimmaa aba me so sɛ mode rebɛkyere me yi? Metenaa mo nkyɛn kyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔ hyiadan mu da biara, nso moansiw me kwan.
In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out to arrest me with swords and clubs as you would against a robber? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me.
56 Nanso eyi nyinaa aba sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a nea adiyifo no kae wɔ Kyerɛwsɛm mu no bɛba mu.” Saa bere no ara mu na asuafo no nyinaa guan gyaa no.
But all this has taken place so that the Scriptures of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.
57 Afei dɔm a wɔkyeree Yesu no de no kɔɔ Ɔsɔfopanyin Kaiafa anim, baabi a mmarakyerɛfo ne Yudafo mpanyin nyinaa ahyia hɔ.
Now those who had arrested Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 Petro tew ne ho dii nnipadɔm no akyi baa Ɔsɔfopanyin no fi hɔ bi. Ɔkɔtenaa asomfo a wɔwɔ hɔ no mu se ɔrehwɛ asɛm a ebesi.
But Peter was following him at a distance, coming as far as the courtyard of the high priest. After going inside, he sat with the officers to see the outcome.
59 Asɔfo mpanyin ne Yudafo asennifo akunini nyinaa hyiaa wɔ hɔ hwehwɛɛ sɛ wobenya nnansefo bi a wobedi adansekurum ato Yesu so, na wɔagyina so abu no kumfɔ.
Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus, so that they could put him to death,
60 Nnipa bebree bedii adanse, nanso wohuu sɛ wɔredi adansekurumu, efisɛ na wɔn nsɛm a wɔka no nyinaa bɔ abira. Akyiri no, nnipa baanu bi ba bɛkae
but they did not find any. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find any.
61 se, “Saa onipa yi kae se, ‘Metumi abubu Onyankopɔn asɔredan na masi no nnansa!’”
But at last two false witnesses came forward and declared, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
62 Ɔsɔfopanyin no sɔre bisaa Yesu se, “Dɛn na wowɔ ka? Wokaa saa anaasɛ woanka saa?”
So the high priest stood up and said to him, “Do yoʋ make no answer? What are these men testifying against yoʋ?”
63 Nanso Yesu ammua no. Ɔsɔfopanyin no ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Meka Onyankopɔn teasefo no sɛ, sɛ wone Agyenkwa no, Onyankopɔn Ba no a, ka kyerɛ yɛn!”
But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I adjure yoʋ by the living God to tell us if yoʋ are the Christ, the Son of God.”
64 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Yiw, woaka. Na mereka kyerɛ mo nyinaa: Efi nnɛ mubehu Onipa Ba no sɛ mete Onyankopɔn nifa na ɔnam omununkum mu resan aba.”
Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have said it yoʋrself. Nevertheless I say to you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Ɔsɔfopanyin no sunsuan nʼatade mu teɛɛ mu se, “Abususɛm! Nnansefo bɛn na wɔn ho hia yɛn bio? Mo nyinaa ate abususɛm a ɔkae no!
Then the high priest tore his garments and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard his blasphemy.
66 Asɛm bɛn na mowɔ ka?” Wɔn nyinaa teɛɛ mu se, “Ɔsɛ owu!”
What do you think?” They answered, “He deserves death.”
67 Afei wɔtee ntasu guu nʼani so. Ebinom bobɔɔ no akuturuku na ebinom nso bobɔɔ no asotɔre
Then they spit in his face and struck him. Others slapped him,
68 kae se, “Wone Agyenkwa no! Kyerɛ yɛn nea ɔbɔɔ wo?”
saying, “Prophesy to us, yoʋ Christ! Who is it that struck yoʋ?”
69 Saa bere no na Petro te adiwo. Abaawa bi baa ne nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Wo nso, na wo ne Yesu na ɛnam. Mo nyinaa mufi Galilea.”
Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him and said, “Yoʋ also were with Jesus the Galilean.”
70 Nanso Petro san se, “Minnim nea woreka yi ho hwee.”
But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what yoʋ are talking about!”
71 Akyiri no, abaawa foforo bi hyiaa no wɔ ɔpon bi ano ka kyerɛɛ wɔn a ɔne wɔn gyina hɔ no se, “Na saa ɔbarima yi ne Yesu Nasareni no na ɛnam.”
Then he went out to the gateway, and another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 Petro de ntam san bio se, “Minnim saa onipa a moreka ne ho asɛm no.”
But again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”
73 Ɛkyɛe kakra no, mmarima a wogyina hɔ no bi bɛka kyerɛɛ Petro se, “Yenim sɛ woyɛ nʼasuafo no mu baako, na wo kasa nso da wo adi sɛ woyɛ Galileani.”
After a little while, the people standing there came up and said to Peter, “Truly yoʋ also are one of them, for even yoʋr accent gives yoʋ away.”
74 Petro fii ase dii nsew, kekaa ntam se, “Minnim onipa no!” Amono mu hɔ ara na akokɔ bɔnee.
Then he began to invoke curses and to swear, saying, “I do not know the man.” And immediately a rooster crowed.
75 Ɛhɔ na Petro kaee asɛm a Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Akokɔ remmɔn na woapa me mprɛnsa” no. Na ofii adi kosui.
Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: “Before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
