< Mateo 17 >
1 Nnansia akyi no Yesu faa Petro, Yakobo ne ne nua Yohane de wɔn kɔɔ bepɔw tenten bi a so yɛ dinn atifi.
AND after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 Wɔwɔ hɔ no, wohuu sɛ ne nipadua asakra ama nʼanim ahyerɛn sɛ owia, ma nʼatade ayɛ fitafita sɛ nwera.
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 Prɛko pɛ, Mose ne Elia bepuee hɔ a na wɔne Yesu rekasa.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 Petro gu so rekasa no, omununkum hann bi bɛkataa wɔn so na nne bi fi omununkum no mu kae se, “Oyi ne me Dɔba a ɔsɔ mʼani. Muntie no!”
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6 Asuafo no tee nne no, wɔbɔɔ hu ma wɔde wɔn anim butubutuw fam.
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7 Yesu baa wɔn nkyɛn, besusoo wɔn mu kae se, “Monsɔre! Munnsuro!”
And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8 Wɔmaa wɔn ani so no, wɔanhu obiara sɛ Yesu nko ara.
And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9 Ɛbaa sɛ wɔresian afi bepɔw no so no, Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano se, “Monnka nea moahu no nkyerɛ obiara kosi sɛ menyan afi awufo mu.”
And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
10 Yesu asuafo no bisaa no se, “Adɛn nti na daa Yudafo mpanyin ka ti mu se, ɛsɛ sɛ Elia san ba ansa na Agyenkwa no aba?”
And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Nea wɔreka no wɔ mu. Ɛsɛ sɛ Elia di kan ba bɛtoto nneɛma yiye.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12 Na nokware ni, Elia aba dedaw na wɔanhu no, na dodow no ara ne no anni no yiye. Na me, Agyenkwa no nso, mehu amane wɔ wɔn nsam saa ara.”
But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Afei asuafo no hui sɛ Osuboni Yohane ho asɛm na ɔreka no.
Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
14 Bere a osian duu bepɔw no ase no, ohuu sɛ nnipadɔm retwɛn no. Ɔbarima bi bebuu Yesu nkotodwe kae se,
And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15 “Owura, hu me ba bi a otwa mmɔbɔ, efisɛ ɔwɔ ɔhaw kɛse mu. Sɛ otwa no ba a, etumi twa no hwe ogya anaa nsu mu.
Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 Enti mede no brɛɛ wʼasuafo no sɛ wɔnsa no yare; nanso wɔantumi.”
And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Yesu kae se, “Mo nnɛ mma asoɔdenfo a munni gyidi! Me ne mo ntena nkosi da bɛn? Momfa no mmrɛ me wɔ ha.”
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 Yesu teɛteɛɛ honhommɔne a ɛwɔ abarimaa no mu no ma etu fii ne mu ma amono mu hɔ ara ne ho tɔɔ no.
And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Afei asuafo no baa Yesu nkyɛn wɔ kokoa mu bebisaa no se, “Adɛn nti na yɛantumi antu honhommɔne no?”
Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Efisɛ mo gyidi sua.” Ɔtoaa so se, “Sɛ mowɔ gyidi sɛ onyaa abaa esua koraa no a, anka mubetumi aka akyerɛ bepɔw yi se, ‘Tutu kɔ nohɔ!’ na ebetutu akɔ akyirikyiri.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Na saa honhommɔne a ɛte sɛɛ yi de, ɛrentumi ntu da, gye sɛ monam mpaebɔ ne mmuadadi so.”
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
22 Da bi a Yesu ne nʼasuafo no wɔ Galilea no, ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Wɔrebeyi Onipa Ba no de no ahyɛ wɔn a
And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
23 wɔwɔ tumi no nsa, na wɔakum no na ne nnansa so no, wanyan aba nkwa mu bio.” Asuafo no tee saa asɛm yi no, wɔn werɛ howee, na wɔn koma nso tui.
And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
24 Bere a wobeduu Kapernaum no nso, ɛhɔ asɔre no mu towgyefo baa Petro nkyɛn bebisaa no se, “Enti wo wura tua tow?”
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
25 Petro buaa no se, “Yiw otua.” Petro fii hɔ no, ɔkɔɔ fie kɔbɔɔ Yesu amanneɛ a ɛfa towtua no ho. Yesu amma nʼano ansi koraa na obisaa no se, “Na wo Petro, wo nso wudwen ho dɛn? Ahemfo twa tow ma wɔn ara wɔn manfo tua anaasɛ wotwa ma ahɔho a wodi wɔn so no?”
He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26 Petro buaa se, “Wotwa tow no ma ahɔho no.” Yesu nso buae se, “Petro mo! Ɛno de na ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔman mma no tua tow biara.
Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27 Na mmom, esiane sɛ mempɛ sɛ wɔfa yɛn ho abufuw no nti, kɔ asu no mu kɔto darewa. Apataa a wubeyi no adi kan no, bue nʼanom. Wubehu sika a ɛbɛso me ne wo tow no tua sɛ ɛhyɛ nʼanom; yi na fa kotua ma wɔn.”
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
