Mateo 15
1 Da bi, Farisifo ne Yudafo mpanyin no bi fi Yerusalem baa Yesu nkyɛn bebisaa no se,
Then the scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem approached Jesus saying:
2 “Adɛn nti na wʼasuafo no nni Yudafo amanne so? Yɛn amanne a yɛhohoro yɛn nsa ho ansa na yɛadidi no, wonni so.”
“Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands whenever they eat bread.”
3 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn se, “Adɛn nti na mo nso mode mo amanne no bu Onyankopɔn mmaransɛm so?
So in answer He said to them: “Why do you even transgress the commandment of God through your tradition?
4 Ebi ne sɛ, Onyankopɔn mmara no ka se, ‘Di wʼagya ne wo na ni,’ na baako nso ne sɛ, ‘Obiara a ɔbɛka asɛmmɔne afa nʼawofo ho no, ɛsɛ sɛ wokum no,’
For God commanded saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’
5 Na mo de, nea moka ne sɛ, sɛ obi ka kyerɛ ne na anaa nʼagya se, ‘Mewɔ ade bi a anka metumi de aboa mo, nanso mede rekɔma Onyankopɔn’ a, ɛnyɛ bɔne.
But you say: ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever you might be profited by me is a gift to God”—
6 Enti mo ara monam mo mmara a moahyɛ so bu Onyankopɔn mmara a ɔhyɛɛ sɛ di wʼagya ne wo na ni no so.
then he must not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have nullified the commandment of God through your tradition.
7 Mo nyaatwomfo! Sɛ Yesaia hyɛɛ mo ho nkɔm sɛ,
Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you saying:
8 “‘Saa nnipa yi ka sɛ wodi me ni, nanso wɔn koma mmɛn me.
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me.
9 Wɔsom me ani so kɛkɛ, efisɛ wɔkyerɛkyerɛ mmara a onipa ayɛ na ɛnyɛ nea efi Onyankopɔn.’”
But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
10 Afei Yesu frɛɛ nnipadɔm no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Muntie nea meka no na mommɔ mmɔden nte ase.
Then summoning the crowd He said to them: “Hear and understand.
11 Ɛnyɛ ade a ɛbɛkɔ onipa mu no na ɛmma ne ho ntew, na mmom, nea ebefi ne mu aba no na egu ne ho fi.”
Not what goes into the mouth defiles the man, but what comes out of the mouth—this defiles the man.”
12 Nsɛm a Yesu kaa yi maa nʼasuafo no ba bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Wunim sɛ wo nsɛm a wokaa no ama Farisifo no bo afuw?”
Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do you know that upon hearing this saying the Pharisees were offended?”
13 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Dua biara a ɛnyɛ mʼagya na oduae no, wobetu akyene.
But in answer He said: “Every plant that my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
14 Mummmua wɔn koraa! Na wɔyɛ anifuraefo a wɔrekyerɛ anifuraefo kwan nti wɔn nyinaa bɛkɔ akɔtew ahwe amoa mu.”
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind; and if the blind guides the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
15 Petro ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛ yɛn bɛ no ase.”
Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16 Yesu nso bisaa no se, “Ampa ara sɛ monte ase?
So Jesus said: “Are you also still without understanding?
17 Munnim sɛ ade a ɛfa onipa anom no fa onipadua no mu na asan aba bio?
Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is expelled into the sewer?
18 Asɛm a ho ntew biara fi koma a mu ntew mu ma egu nea ɔkaa saa asɛm no ho fi.
But the things coming out of the mouth actually come from the heart; those are the things that defile the man.
19 Koma mu na adwemmɔne, awudi, ayefasɛm, aguamammɔ, korɔn, atoro ne ntwatoso fi.
Because out of the heart proceed malignant thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
20 Eyinom na egu onipa ho fi. Nanso sɛ obi anhohoro ne nsa sɛnea mo amanne te no na odidi a, ne ho nguu fi honhom mu.”
These are the things that defile the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
21 Yesu fii ɔman no mu hɔ kɔɔ Tiro ne Sidon.
Going out from there Jesus withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Kanaanni bea bi a ɔte ɔman no mu hɔ de osu baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛkae se, “Awurade, Dawid Ba, hu me mmɔbɔ! Honhommɔne hyɛ me ba mu na sɛ ɛka ne ho a, ɛma ne ho yeraw no.”
And then, a Canaanite woman coming from those parts cried out to Him saying: “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demonized.”
23 Yesu anka hwee. Nʼasuafo no hyɛɛ no sɛ ɔmpam ɔbea no mfi hɔ. Wotii mu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Ka kyerɛ no na omfi ha nkɔ, na ɔde nʼadesrɛ no retuatua yɛn aso.”
But He answered her not a word. So His disciples came and urged Him saying, “Send her away, because she is crying out after us.”
24 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ ɔbea no se, “Wɔsomaa me baa Yudafo, Israel nguan a wɔayera no nkyɛn na ɛnyɛ amanamanmufo.”
But in answer He said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 Ɔba bɛkotow no kɔɔ so srɛɛ no se, “Me wura, boa me!”
So she came and worshiped Him saying, “Lord, help me!”
26 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Enye sɛ wobegye aduan afi mmofra nsam atow ama akraman.”
But in answer He said, “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
27 Ɔbea no nso buae se, “Ɛwɔ mu saa de, nanso akraman no nso tumi di mporoporowa a efi wɔn wura no pon so gu fam no.”
So she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.”
28 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ ɔbea no se, “Ɔbea, wo gyidi mu yɛ den. Mɛyɛ wʼabisade ama wo.” Ɛhɔ ara, ne babea no ho tɔɔ no.
Then Jesus answered and said to her: “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
29 Yesu san baa Galilea po no ho. Ɔforo kɔtenaa bepɔw bi so.
Moving on from there, Jesus went alongside the Sea of Galilee, and going up on the mountain He sat down there.
30 Nnipa bebree de mpakye, anifuraefo, apirafo, mum ne wɔn a wɔyare nyarewa ahorow baa ne nkyɛn sɛ ɔnsa wɔn yare, ma ɔsaa wɔn nyinaa yare.
And large crowds approached Him, having with them lame, blind, mute, maimed and many others, and they placed them at Jesus' feet, and He healed them.
31 Nnipa no ho dwiriw wɔn. Wɔn a wɔnkasaa da kasae; mpakye nyaa ahoɔden; na mmubuafo nantew huruhuruwii na anifuraefo huu ade. Nnipadɔm no ho dwiriw wɔn ma wɔkamfoo Israel Nyankopɔn.
So the crowds marveled—seeing mutes speaking, maimed made whole, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they kept glorifying the God of Israel.
32 Afei Yesu frɛɛ nʼasuafo no nyinaa baa ne nkyɛn ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Nnipa yi yɛ me mmɔbɔ. Wɔabedi me nkyɛn ha nnansa. Aduan a ɛwɔ ha nyinaa nso asa. Nanso mempɛ sɛ mema wɔkɔ wɔn afi mu a wonnidii, anyɛ saa a, wɔbɛtotɔ piti wɔ kwan so.”
Then Jesus summoned His disciples and said: “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already remained with me three days, and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”
33 Nʼasuafo no nso bisaa no se, “Sare so ha de, ɛhe na yebenya nnipadɔm yi ano aduan?”
So His disciples say to Him, “Where could we get, in an uninhabited place, enough bread so as to satisfy such a great crowd?”
34 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn se, “Brodo dodow ahe na mowɔ?” Wobuae se, “Yɛwɔ brodo ason ne mpataa kakraa bi.”
Jesus says to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
35 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nnipadɔm no maa wɔn nyinaa tenatenaa ase wɔ sare no so.
So He commanded the crowds to recline on the ground.
36 Afei ɔfaa brodo ason no ne mpataa no, hyiraa so na obubuu mu de maa asuafo no se wɔmfa mma nnipadɔm no nni.
And taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks, broke and gave to His disciples, and the disciples to the crowd.
37 Wɔn nyinaa dii aduan no mee pintinn.
So they all ate and were filled; and they took up seven hampers full of the fragments that remained.
38 Wɔn a wodii saa aduan no, na wɔn dodow yɛ nnipa mpem anan a wɔankan mmea ne mmofra anka ho. Wodidi wiei no, akyi mporoporowa a wɔtasee no yɛɛ nkɛntɛn ason.
Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Eyi akyi na Yesu gyaa nkurɔfo no kwan, maa ɔno nso kɔtenaa ɔkorow mu twa kɔɔ Magadan.
And having dismissed the crowds He got into the boat and went to the region of Magdala.
