< Mateo 12 >
1 Homeda bi, Yesu ne nʼasuafo no kɔfaa aburowfuw bi mu. Wɔnam aburowfuw no mu no, ɔkɔm dee asuafo no ma wɔpenpan aburow no bi wee.
At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the grain-fields; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of grain, and to eat.
2 Farisifo bi huu nea asuafo no reyɛ no, anyɛ wɔn abodwo. Wobisaa Yesu se, “Woahu sɛ wʼasuafo no abu Homeda mmara no so?”
But the Pharisees, seeing it, said to him, Lo! thy disciples are doing that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.
3 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn se, “Monkenkan nea Ɔhene Dawid yɛe, bere a ɔkɔm dee ɔne wɔn a na wɔka ne ho no?
But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did, when he and those who were with him were hungry?
4 Wɔkɔɔ Onyankopɔn fi kodii brodo a wɔde abɔ afɔre, a anka wonni ho kwan sɛ wodi, gye ɔsɔfo nko ara no. Ɛno nso yɛ mmara so bu?
how he went into the house of God, and they ate the show-bread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but for the priests alone?
5 Na monnsan nkenkan mfii Mose mmara no mu, sɛ asɔfo a wɔyɛ hyiadan mu adwuma no tumi yɛ adwuma Homeda nso?
Or have ye not read in the Law, that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6 Mereka ama moate ase sɛ, nea ɔkyɛn hyiadan no wɔ ha!
But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.
7 Sɛ moate asɛm a ese, ‘Mmɔborɔhunu na mepɛ na ɛnyɛ afɔrebɔ’ no ase yiye a, anka moremmu wɔn a wonni fɔ no fɔ.
But if ye had known what this meaneth, “I desire mercy and not sacrifice,” ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 Na me, Onipa Ba no, meyɛ Homeda no wura.”
For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath.
9 Yesu fii nea ɔwɔ hɔ no kɔɔ hyiadan mu.
And departing thence, he went into their synagogue.
10 Ohuu ɔbarima bi wɔ ɔdan mu hɔ a na ne nsa baako awu. Farisifo no bisaa Yesu se, “Enti mmara ma ho kwan sɛ obi sa yare Homeda ana?” Wobisaa eyi sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wobenya kwan atoto nʼano na wɔakyere no!
And, lo! there was a man having a withered hand. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.
11 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mo mu hena na ɔwɔ oguan baako na sɛ ɔkɔtɔ amoa mu Homeda a, ɔrenyi no? Ɔkwan biara so wobɛkɔ akoyi no.
And he said to them, Who of you that owneth one sheep, if it fall into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold of it, and lift it out?
12 Onipa som bo sen oguan! Eyi nti ɛwɔ ho kwan sɛ wɔyɛ papa Homeda.”
Of how much more worth now is a man than a sheep! So then it is lawful to do well on the sabbath.
13 Afei Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nea ne nsa awu no se, “Teɛ wo nsa!” Ɔyarefo no teɛɛ ne nsa. Ɔteɛɛ ne nsa no ahoɔden baa mu ma ɛyɛɛ sɛ baako no.
Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored sound as the other.
14 Farisifo no fii adi kotuu sɛnea wɔbɛkyere Yesu akum no no ho agyina.
Then the Pharisees went out, and consulted together against him, how they might destroy him.
15 Esiane sɛ na onim pɔw a wɔrebɔ wɔ ne ho no nti, ofii hyiadan no mu maa nnipadɔm dii nʼakyi. Ɔsaa wɔn mu ayarefo no nyinaa yare.
But Jesus, knowing it, withdrew from thence; and many followed him; and he healed them all,
16 Nanso ɔbɔɔ wɔn ano se wɔmmmɔ nʼanwonwade a ɔyɛɛ no ho dawuru.
and strictly charged them not to make him known;
17 Na nkɔm a Odiyifo Yesaia hyɛɛ no aba mu se:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
18 “Monhwɛ mʼakoa a mayi no, nea medɔ no a me kra ani sɔ no, mede me honhom begu no so, na wabu amanaman atɛn.
“Behold my servant, whom I chose; my beloved, with whom my soul is well pleased; I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will declare judgment to the nations.
19 Ɔrenko, na ɔrenteɛteɛ mu. Na obi rente ne nne wɔ abɔnten so!
He will not strive, nor cry aloud, nor will any one hear his voice in the streets.
20 Ɔrensɛe demmire a ɛyɛ mmerɛw no. Kanea ntamabamma a ɛnnɛw yiye no, ɔrennum; kosi sɛ ɔnam atɛntrenee so de nkonimdi bɛba.
A bruised reed he will not break, and smoking flax he will not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
21 Ne din bɛyɛ amanaman nyinaa anidaso.”
And in his name will nations hope.”
22 Afei wɔde obi a ɔyɛ mum san yɛ onifuraefo, na honhommɔne nso wɔ ne so brɛɛ Yesu sɛ ɔnsa no yare. Yesu saa no yare ma ɔkasae, san huu ade.
Then was brought to him one possessed by a demon, blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the dumb man spoke and saw.
23 Nnipadɔm a wɔwɔ hɔ no ho dwiriw wɔn. Wɔkae se, “Ebetumi aba sɛ Yesu yi yɛ Dawid Ba no, Agyenkwa no ana?”
And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Is this the son of David?
24 Nanso Farisifo no tee anwonwade a Yesu yɛe no, wɔkae se, “Ɔnam ahonhommɔne nyinaa panyin, Ɔbonsam Beelsebul no so na otu ahonhommɔne.”
But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This man doth not cast out the demons, except through Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.
25 Yesu huu wɔn adwene maa wɔn mmuae se, “Ahemman biara a edi mpaapaemu no ntumi nnyina. Saa ara nso na kurow anaa ofi biara a edi mpaapaemu no ntumi nnyina.
And he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and no city or house divided against itself will stand.
26 Na sɛ ɔbonsam retu ɔbonsam a na ɛkyerɛ sɛ ɔne ne ho na ɛreko de asɛe nʼaheman.
And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?
27 Na sɛ menam Beelsebul tumi so na mitu ahonhommɔne a, hena so na mo nkurɔfo nam tu ahonhommɔne? Saa na ɛte de a, mo nkurɔfo no ara na wobebu mo atɛn.
And if I cast out the demons through Beelzebul, through whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore shall they be judges of you.
28 Nanso sɛ menam Onyankopɔn Honhom so na mitu honhommɔne de a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn Ahenni no aba mo so.
But if I cast out the demons through the Spirit of God, then hath the kingdom of God already come to you.
29 “Obi ntumi nkɔ ɔhoɔdenfo fi mu nkowia no, agye sɛ onipa ko no di kan de hama kyekyere no.
Or how can one enter into a strong man's house, and seize upon his goods, unless he first bind the strong man, and then plunder his house?
30 “Obiara a onni mʼafa no, tia me. Na nea ɔne me mmoaboa ano no hwete mu.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Mereka akyerɛ mo se, wɔde bɔne ne abususɛm nyinaa bɛkyɛ nnipa, nanso abususɛm a etia Honhom Kronkron no de, wɔremfa nkyɛ.
Therefore I say to you, All manner of sin and evil-speaking will be forgiven to men; but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32 Nea ɔbɛkasa atia Onipa Ba no, wɔde bɛkyɛ no. Nanso nea ɔbɛkasa atia Honhom Kronkron no de, wɔremfa nkyɛ no da biara da. (aiōn )
And whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this world, or in the world to come. (aiōn )
33 “Dua biara aba na wɔde hu ne su. Dua pa sow aba pa na dua bɔne nso sow aba bɔne.
Either say that the tree is good, and its fruit good; or say that the tree is bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers!
34 Awɔ mma! Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na abɔnefo sɛ mo atumi aka nea eye ho asɛm? Nea ayɛ koma ma abu so no na ano ka.
How can ye, evil as ye are, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 Onipa pa anom asɛm da nnepa a ɛwɔ ne mu no adi. Saa ara na onipa bɔne nso anom asɛm da nnebɔne a ɛwɔ ne mu no adi.
The good man, from his good treasure, bringeth out good things; and the evil man, from his evil treasure, bringeth out evil things.
36 Mereka makyerɛ mo se, atemmuda no, asɛnhunu biara a obi aka no, obebu ho akontaa.
And I say to you, that for every idle word that men shall speak, they will give account in the day of judgment.
37 Wʼanom asɛm so na wɔnam bebu wo bem anaa fɔ.”
For by thy words thou wilt be justified, and by thy words thou wilt be condemned.
38 Da bi, Yudafo mpanyimfo bi a Farisifo bi ka wɔn ho baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, ɔnyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne bi nkyerɛ wɔn.
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we wish to see a sign from thee.
39 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Ɔman a wɔyɛ abɔnefo a wonni gyidi na wɔpɛ sɛ wohu nsɛnkyerɛnne. Nanso wɔrenhu nsɛnkyerɛnne biara ka Odiyifo Yona de no ho.
But he answered and said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation is seeking for a sign; and no sign will be given to it, but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
40 Na sɛnea Yona kodii bonsu yam nnansa no, saa ara na ɛsɛ sɛ Onipa Ba no kodi asase mu nnansa.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 Atemmuda no Ninewe mmarima ne nnɛmma bɛsɔre ayi ɔman yi atɛn, efisɛ bere a Yona kaa asɛmpa no, wɔsakraa wɔn adwene. Nanso nea ɔsen Yona wɔ ha.
The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, lo! something more than Jonah is here.
42 Atemmuda no, Sebahemmea bɛsɔre atia ɔman yi, efisɛ ofi asase ano nohɔ betiee Salomo nyansa nsɛm. Nanso nea ɔsen Salomo no wɔ ha.
The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo! something more than Solomon is here.
43 “Saa ɔman nnebɔneyɛfo yi te sɛ obi a honhommɔne wɔ ne so. Sɛ honhommɔne no tu fi ne mu a, ekyinkyin, hwehwɛ homebea nanso ennya bi.
But when the unclean spirit is gone out from a man, it goeth through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth it not.
44 Sɛ ɛba saa a, nea honhommɔne no ka ne se, ‘Mɛsan akɔ onipa a mifii ne mu bae no mu bio.’ Ɔsan kɔ onipa no mu na ohu sɛ ne mu da mpan, na wɔasiesie hɔ fɛfɛɛfɛ a,
Then it saith, I will return to my house whence I came out. And on coming, it findeth it empty, and swept, and put in order.
45 ɔsan nʼakyi kɔfa ahonhommɔne afoforo ason a wɔyɛ den kyɛn no ba ma wɔn nyinaa bɛtena ne mu. Eyi ma onipa no asetena no sɛe kyɛn ne kan asetena no.”
Then it goeth and taketh with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter in, and dwell there; and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. So will it be also with this wicked generation.
46 Bere a Yesu reka asɛmpa akyerɛ nnipadɔm wɔ ofi bi mu no, ne na ne ne nuanom begyinaa afikyiri pɛɛ sɛ wɔne no kasa.
While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, lo! his mother and his brothers were standing without, seeking to speak with him.
47 Nnipa a wɔwɔ hɔ no mu baako kɔka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Wo na ne wo nuanom gyina afikyiri hɔ pɛ sɛ wɔne wo kasa.”
And one said to him, Behold, thy mother and thy brothers are standing without, seeking to speak with thee.
48 Yesu kae se, “Hena ne me na? Ɛhefo ne me nuanom?”
But he answered and said to him that told him, Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?
49 Ɔkaa saa no, ɔde ne nsa kyerɛɛ nnipadɔm no ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Eyinom ne me na ne me nuanom.”
And stretching forth his hand toward his disciples, be said, Behold, my mother and my brothers!
50 Ɔsan kaa bio se, “Obiara a ɔbɛyɛ mʼagya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no apɛde no, ɔno ne me nuabarima, ne me nuabea ne me na.”
For whoever doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
