< Marko 9 >
1 Yesu kɔɔ so ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Mo a mugyina ha yi mu bi bɛtena ase akosi sɛ mubehu sɛ, Onyankopɔn ahenni no reba tumi mu!”
And he said to them: Verily I say to you, There are some standing here, who will not taste of death, until they shall see the kingdom of God to be coming with power.
2 Nnansia akyi na Yesu faa Petro, Yakobo ne Yohane de wɔn kɔɔ bepɔw tenten bi atifi. Saa bere no na obiara nka wɔn ho. Ɛhɔ ara na Yesu anuonyam hyerɛn wɔ wɔn anim.
And after six days, Jesus took Cephas and James and John, and led them to a high mountain, apart; and was transformed before them.
3 Nʼatade hyerɛn yɛɛ fitafita sen sɛnea obi betumi ahoro saa atade no ama ayɛ.
And his raiment shone and was very white, like snow, so as men on earth can never whiten.
4 Afei Elia ne Mose befii hɔ. Na wɔne Yesu kasae!
And there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, in conversation with Jesus.
5 Petro ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, eye sɛ yɛwɔ ha. Yɛbɛbɔ asese abiɛsa wɔ ha, wo de baako, Mose de baako na Elia de baako.”
And Cephas said to him: Rabbi, it is delightful for us to be here. And let us make three booths; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
6 Esiane sɛ na wɔabɔ hu no nti na ɛma ɔkaa saa.
But he did not know what he said, for they were in trepidation.
7 Na omununkum bɛkataa wɔn so. Nne bi fi omununkum no mu kae se, “Oyi ne me Dɔba. Muntie no.”
And there was a cloud, and it overshadowed them. And a voice issued from the cloud, which said: This is my beloved Son. Hear ye him.
8 Mpofirim a wɔhwɛɛ wɔn ho no, wɔanhu obiara ka Yesu ho.
And suddenly, when the disciples looked up, they saw no one with them, except Jesus only.
9 Wɔresian afi bepɔw no so no, Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano se wɔnnka nea wɔahu no nkyerɛ obiara kosi sɛ ɔbɛsɔre afi awufo mu.
And as they descended the mountain, he commanded them to tell no man what they had seen, till after the Son of man should be risen from the dead.
10 Asuafo no anka ankyerɛ obiara na mmom, ɛyɛ a na wɔtaa bisabisa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, nʼasɛm a ɔkae se, “Menyan afi awufo mu” no, na ɔkyerɛ dɛn?
And they kept that saying in their mind; and inquired, What doth this saying mean: " When he shall be risen from the dead!"
11 Na nʼasuafo no bisaa no nea enti a mmara no akyerɛkyerɛfo no ka se, ɛsɛ sɛ Elia san ba kan.
And they asked him, and said: Why then do the Scribes say, that Elijah must first come?
12 Yesu gye too mu sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Elia di kan ba bɛtoto nneɛma nyinaa yiye. Ɔkae se, “Ɛno de, na adɛn nti na wɔakyerɛw se Onipa Ba no behu amane bebree na wɔapo no?
He said to them: Elijah truly first cometh, to prepare all things: and, as it is written of the Son of man, he will suffer much, and be rejected.
13 Nanso mise mo sɛ, Elia aba dedaw! Na wɔne no anni no yiye sɛnea adiyifo no hyɛɛ ho nkɔm no.”
But I say to you: That Elijah hath come; and they have done to him all that they desired, as it was written of him.
14 Bere a wosian beduu bepɔw no ase hɔ no, wohuu sɛ nnipakuw atwa asuafo a wɔaka no ho ahyia, na wɔne mmara no akyerɛkyerɛfo no regye wɔn ho wɔn ho akyinnye.
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude with them, and the Scribes disputing with them.
15 Bere a nnipakuw no huu Yesu no wɔn ho dwiriw wɔn, na wɔde mmirika behyiaa no.
And immediately the multitude saw him, and were surprised: and they ran and saluted him.
16 Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Akyinnye a na moregye no fa dɛn ho?”
And he asked the Scribes: What were ye disputing with them?
17 Nnipa no mu baako kae se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, mede me ba aba ha sɛ sa no yare. Honhommɔne bi a ɛwɔ ne so nti, ontumi nkasa.
And one of the multitude replied, and said: Teacher, I have brought to thee my son, who hath a spirit that will not speak.
18 Sɛ honhommɔne no ka ne ho wɔ ne mu a, etwa no hwe fam ma nʼano twa ahuru, twɛre ne se a wasinsen. Ɛno nti mesrɛɛ wʼasuafo no se wontu honhommɔne no mfi ne mu, nanso wɔantumi.”
And wherever he seizeth him, he shaketh and teareth him: and he gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away. And I spoke to thy disciples, to cast him out; and they could not.
19 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “O, mo a mo gyidi sua, me ne mo ntena nkosi da bɛn ansa na mo gyidi atim? Momfa abarimaa no mmrɛ me.”
Jesus answered, and said to them: O incredulous generation! How long shall I be with you? how long bear with you? Bring him to me.
20 Wɔde abarimaa no brɛɛ Yesu. Wɔde no duu Yesu anim ara pɛ na ɔyare no baa denneennen, twaa no hwee fam, ma ɔperee a nʼano refi ahuru.
And they brought him to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately he shook him; and he fell upon the ground, and wallowed and foamed.
21 Yesu bisaa abarimaa no agya se, “Nnaahe ni a ɔyare yi baa ne so?” Abarimaa no agya buaa Yesu se, “Efi ne mmofraase pɛɛ;
And Jesus asked his father, how long a time he had been thus. He said to him: Lo, from his childhood.
22 na ɛtɔ da bi koraa a, ɔyare no tumi twa no hwe ogya anaa nsu mu pɛ sɛ ekum no. Enti sɛ wubetumi asa no yare de a, hu yɛn mmɔbɔ, na sa no yare ma yɛn.”
And many times it hath thrown him into the fire, and into the water, to destroy him. But, if thou canst do any thing, aid me and have compassion on me.
23 Yesu bisaa no se, “Adɛn nti na woka se sɛ metumi a? Nneɛma nyinaa betumi ayɛ hɔ ama obiara a ogye di.”
Jesus said to him: If thou canst believe; every thing can be, to him that believeth.
24 Abarimaa no agya buae se, “Mewɔ gyidi nanso esua, enti boa me, na hyɛ me gyidi mu den!”
And immediately the father of the child cried out, while he wept and said: I believe; aid thou the defect of my faith.
25 Yesu huu sɛ nnipa no dɔ ara na wɔredɔɔso no, ɔteɛɛ honhommɔne no se, “Honhommɔne ɔsotifo ne mumu, mehyɛ wo sɛ, fi abofra yi mu kɔ. Nkɔhyɛ ne mu bio!”
And when Jesus saw that the people were, running and collecting around him, he rebuked the unclean spirit, and said to him: Thou deaf and unspeaking spirit, I command thee, come out of him; and no more enter him.
26 Afei ɔyare no baa denneennen ansa na ɛrefi ne mu, enti ɛmaa abarimaa no yɛɛ sɛ owufo. Nnipakuw no kasaa huhuhuhu se, “Wawu.”
And the demon cried out greatly, and bruised him, and came out. And he was as a dead person; so that many would say, he is dead.
27 Na Yesu soo ne nsa pagyaw no ma ogyinaa ne nan so a ne ho atɔ no.
And Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up.
28 Eyi akyi a Yesu ne nʼasuafo no nko ara wɔ fie no, wobisaa no se, “Adɛn nti na yɛn de yɛantumi antu saa honhommɔne no?”
And when Jesus entered the house, his disciples asked him privately: Why could not we cast him out?
29 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mpaebɔ nko ara na ebetumi atu saa ɔyare yi.”
He saith to them: This kind can come out, by nothing but fasting and prayer.
30 Yesu fii hɔ no ɔfaa Galilea, efisɛ na ɔmpɛ sɛ nnipa te ne nka.
And when he departed from there, they passed through Galilee: and he desired that no one might know him.
31 Na ɔpɛ sɛ onya bere ma nʼasuafo no de kyerɛkyerɛ wɔn. Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Wobeyi Onipa Ba no ama, na wɔakum no, na ne nnansa so no ɔbɛsɔre aba nkwa mu bio.”
For he taught his disciples, and said to them: The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day, he will rise.
32 Asuafo no ante asɛm a ɔkae yi ase, nanso na wosuro sɛ wobebisa no ase.
But they did not understand that speech; and they were afraid to ask him.
33 Yesu ne nʼasuafo no baa Kapernaum. Bere a woduu ofi a wɔbɛtena mu no mu na wɔregye wɔn ahome no, Yesu bisaa nʼasuafo no se, “Yɛreba no dɛn akyinnye na na moregye wɔ ɔkwan so no?”
And they came to Capernaum. And when they entered the house, he asked them: What disputed ye among yourselves by the way?
34 Asuafo no antumi ammua efisɛ na wɔredwinnwen nea ɔbɛyɛ wɔn mu ɔkɛse no ho.
And they were silent; for by the way they had contended with one another, which should be the great among them.
35 Ɔtenaa ase frɛɛ wɔn baa ne nkyɛn ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔpanyin wɔ mo mu no ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ abofra anaa ɔsomfo wɔ mo mu!”
And Jesus sat down, and called the twelve, and said to them: Whoever would be first, let him be last of all, and servitor to all.
36 Afei ɔde abofra ketewa bi begyinaa wɔn mfimfini. Ɔde abofra no kyerɛɛ wɔn kae se,
And he took a child, and set him in the midst, and took him in his arms and said to them:
37 “Mo mu biara a me nti obegye abofra ketewa sɛ oyi no agye me, na nea obegye me no nso agye mʼAgya a ɔsomaa me no.”
Whoever receiveth one in my name, like this child, he receiveth me; and he that receiveth me, receiveth not me only, but him that sent me.
John said to him: Rabbi, we saw one casting out demons in thy name, and we forbad him, because he adhereth not to us.
39 Yesu kae se, “Munnsiw no kwan. Efisɛ obiara nni hɔ a ɔreyɛ anwonwade wɔ me din mu na obetwa ne ho atia me.
Jesus said to them: Forbid him not; for there is no one who doeth mighty works in my name, that can readily speak evil of me.
40 Na obiara a ontia yɛn no wɔ yɛn afa.
Whoever therefore is not against you, is for you.
41 Obiara a esiane sɛ, moyɛ Kristo de no nti ɔbɛma mo nsu kuruwa ma anom no akatua remmɔ no da.
For whoever shall give you to drink a cup of water only, on the ground that ye are Messiah's followers, verily I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
42 “Enti sɛ obi to mmofra nketewa a wogye me di yi mu bi hintidua a, eye ma no sɛ anka wɔde ɔbotan duruduru bɛsɛn ne kɔn mu, atow no akyene po mu.
And whoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe in me to stumble, it were better for him, if a millstone were put to his neck, and he cast into the sea.
43 Sɛ wo nsa ma woyɛ bɔne a, twa na tow kyene. Eye ma wo sɛ wode dɛmdi bɛkɔ nkwa mu sen sɛ, wɔde wo nipadua nyinaa bɛto amanehunu gya (Geenna )
And if thy hand make thee offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than, having two hands, to go into hell; (Geenna )
where their worm dieth not, and their fire is not extinguished.
45 Na sɛ wo nan ma woyɛ bɔne a, twa na tow kyene. Eye ma wo sɛ wode nansin bɛkɔ nkwa mu sen sɛ, wode nan abien bɛkɔ amanehunu gya (Geenna )
And if thy foot make thee offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life lamed, than, having two feet, to fall into hell; (Geenna )
where their worm dieth not, and their fire is not extinguished.
47 Na sɛ wʼani ma woyɛ bɔne a, tu na tow kyene. Eye ma wo sɛ wode ani baako bɛkɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni mu sen sɛ wowɔ ani abien na wɔde wo bɛto amanehunu gya mu (Geenna )
And if thy eye make thee offend, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter with one eye into the kingdom of God, than, having two eyes, to fall into the hell of fire; (Geenna )
48 baabi a “‘ogya no ennum da na ɛhɔ asunson nso nwu da.’
where their worm dieth not, and their fire is not extinguished.
49 Na wɔde ogya bɛhyɛ wɔn nyinaa nkyene.
For every thing will be salted with fire; and every sacrifice will be salted with salt.
50 “Nkyene yɛ dɛ, nanso sɛ nkyene yera ne dɛ a, ɛso nni mfaso bio; wonte ne dɛ wɔ biribiara mu. Enti monnyera mo dɛ. Mo ne mo ho mo ho ntena asomdwoe mu.”
Salt is a good thing: but if the salt become insipid, with what will it be salted? Let there be salt in you: and be ye in peace, one with another.
