< Marko 8 >
1 Saa mmere no mu na nnipakuw foforo bi baa Yesu nkyɛn. Esiane sɛ na hwee nni hɔ a wobedi nti,
In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them,
2 Yesu frɛɛ nʼasuafo no baa ne nkyɛn, na ɔkae se, “Nnipa yi yɛ me mmɔbɔ. Wɔabedi nnansa wɔ ha a, wonni aduan biara a wobedi bio.
I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat,
3 Sɛ migya wɔn kwan sɛ wɔnkɔ a wonnidii a, anhwɛ a na wɔn mu bi atotɔ piti wɔ ɔkwan so, efisɛ wɔn mu bi fi akyirikyiri na wɔbae.”
and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far.
4 Nʼasuafo no bisaa no se, “Ɛhefa na yebenya aduan ama saa nnipa dodow yi wɔ sare yi so ha?”
And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place?
5 Obisaa wɔn se, “Brodo dodow ahe na mowɔ?” Wobuaa no se, “Yɛwɔ ason.”
And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
6 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nnipakuw no se wɔntenatena ase wɔ sare no so. Afei ɔfaa brodo ason no, na ohyiraa so, bubuu mu de maa nʼasuafo no ma wɔkyɛ maa nnipa no.
And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd.
7 Na wɔwɔ mpataa kakra wɔ hɔ, nti Yesu hyiraa ɛno nso so de maa asuafo no sɛ wɔnkyɛ ɛno nso mma wɔn.
And they had a few small fishes, and having blessed them, he desired these also to be set before [them].
8 Nnipakuw no didi mee no, ogyaa wɔn kwan.
And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up of fragments that remained seven baskets.
9 Nnipa a wodii aduan no dodow bɛyɛ mpem anan. Na wɔtasee ase nnikae no, ɛyɛɛ kɛntɛn ason.
And they [that had eaten] were about four thousand; and he sent them away.
10 Eyi akyi no ɔne nʼasuafo no kɔtenaa ɔkorow mu baa Dalmanuta fam.
And immediately going on board ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
11 Farisifo no tee sɛ Yesu aba hɔ no, wɔbaa ne nkyɛn bebisabisaa no nsɛm, de sɔɔ no hwɛe. Wɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Yɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne bi kyerɛ yɛn. Ma nsɛnkyerɛnne bi nna adi wɔ wim nkyerɛ yɛn. Ɛno ansa na yebegye wo adi.”
And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute against him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
12 Yesu tee nea wɔkae no, oguu ahome ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Dɛn nti na mohwehwɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne daa yi? Nsɛnkyerɛnne biara nni hɔ a mɛyɛ akyerɛ mo.”
And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.
13 Ɔsan kɔtenaa ɔkorow no mu gyaw wɔn, twa kɔɔ asuogya nohɔ.
And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.
14 Asuafo no werɛ fii sɛ wɔfa aduan bi kura ansa na wɔkɔ, gye brodo baako pɛ na na wokura wɔ ɔkorow no mu.
And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not [any] with them in the ship.
15 Wɔretwa asu no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Monhwɛ mo ho so yiye wɔ Ɔhene Herode ne Farisifo mmɔkaw ho.”
And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.
16 Asuafo no bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Asɛm a ɔreka yi ase ne dɛn?” Nea wɔn adwene kyerɛɛ wɔn ne sɛ, ebia ɔreka aduan a wɔn werɛ fii sɛ wɔbɛfa akita no ho asɛm.
And they reasoned with one another, [saying], It is because we have no bread.
17 Yesu huu nea wodwinnwen no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Ɛnyɛ ɛno ho asɛm na mereka! Monnte eyi ase ana? Mo koma da so pirim?
And Jesus knowing [it], says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart [yet] hardened?
18 Mowɔ ani nso munhu ade? Mowɔ aso nso momfa nte asɛm? Na monnkae biribi ana?
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
19 Bere a mibubuu brodo anum mu maa nnipa mpem anum no, nnikae kɛntɛn ahe na motasee?” Wɔkae se, “Dumien.”
When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
20 “Na mesan de brodo ason maa nnipa mpem anan no nso, ahe na ɛkae?” Wɔkae se, “Nkɛntɛn ason.”
And when the seven for the four thousand, the filling of how many baskets of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 Obisaa wɔn bio se, “Monnte ase ara ana?”
And he said to them, How do ye not yet understand?
22 Bere a woduu Betsaida no, nnipa bi de onifuraefo bi brɛɛ no, srɛɛ no sɛ ɔmfa ne nsa nka no, na ɔnsa no yare.
And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring him a blind man, and beseech him that he might touch him.
23 Yesu soo onifuraefo yi nsa de no kɔɔ akuraa no kurotia. Ɔtee ntasu guu onifuraefo no ani so, na ɔde ne nsa guu no so. Yesu bisaa no se, “Wuhu ade ana?”
And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.
24 Onifuraefo no maa nʼani so hwɛɛ soro, buae se, “Yiw, mihu nnipa! Nanso mihu wɔn sɛ nnua bi na wɔnenam hɔ.”
And having looked up, he said, I behold men, for I see [them], as trees, walking.
25 Afei Yesu de ne nsa kataa nʼani no so bio. Onifuraefo no buee nʼani, na bere a ɔrehwɛ ade haa no, nʼani no yɛɛ yiye a afei de na ohu biribiara kann.
Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly.
26 Yesu ma ɔkɔɔ fie, na ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Nnsan nnkɔ akuraa no ase bio.”
And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell [it] to any one in the village.
27 Yesu ne nʼasuafo no fii Galilea kɔɔ Kaesarea ne Filipi nkuraa ase. Wɔnam ɔkwan so rekɔ no, obisaa wɔn se, “Nnipa ka se mene hena?”
And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?
28 Asuafo no buae se, “Ebinom se wone Osuboni Yohane no, na afoforo nso se woyɛ Elia anaasɛ tete adiyifo no mu bi a wasan aba.”
And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets.
29 Na obisaa wɔn se, “Na mo nso mose meyɛ hena?” Petro buaa no se, “Wone Kristo no.”
And he asked them, But ye, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, Thou art the Christ.
30 Ɔbɔɔ wɔn kɔkɔ se, wɔnnka nkyerɛ obiara.
And he charged them straitly, in order that they should tell no man about him.
31 Afei ofii ase kaa Onipa Ba no amane a obehu ne mpanyimfo, asɔfo mpanyin ne Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo no po a wɔbɛpo no, na wɔakum no, na nnansa so wasɔre no ho asɛm kyerɛɛ wɔn.
And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise [again].
32 Ɔkaa asɛm no pefee a wamfa biribiara anhintaw wɔn. Petro twee no gyinaa nkyɛn bisaa no se, “Adɛn nti na woka asɛm a ɛte sɛɛ yi?”
And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to [him], began to rebuke him.
33 Yesu dan ne ho hwɛɛ nʼasuafo no kaa Petro anim se, “Fi me so, Ɔbonsam! Wʼadwene yɛ nea efi onipa na ɛnyɛ nea efi Onyankopɔn.”
But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.
34 Afei ɔfrɛɛ nʼasuafo no ne nnipakuw no baa ne nkyɛn ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se: “Sɛ obi pɛ sɛ odi mʼakyi a ɛsɛ sɛ ɔpa ne ho akyi, na ɔsoa nʼasennua, na odi mʼakyi.
And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.
35 Nea ɔma ne kra som no bo no, ebefi ne nsa. Na nea me ne asɛmpa no nti, ɔbɛhwere ne kra no, wobegye no nkwa.
For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.
36 Na sɛ onipa nya wiase nyinaa na ɔhwere ne kra a mfaso bɛn na obenya?
For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?
37 Dɛn na ɛsom bo sen ne kra?
for what should a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Na obiara a saa nnabɔne yi mu nʼani wu me ne me nsɛm ho no, ne ho bɛyɛ me, Onipa Ba no aniwu, bere a me ne mʼabɔfo kronkron no bɛsan aba wɔ mʼAgya anuonyam mu no.”
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man also be ashamed when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
