Marko 7
1 Da bi, Farisifo ne Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo bi a wofi Yerusalem baa Yesu nkyɛn.
And there were gathered unto Him the pharisees, and some of the scribes, from Jerusalem;
2 Woduu hɔ no, wohuu sɛ nʼasuafo no bi redidi a wɔanhohoro wɔn nsa ho.
and when they saw some of his disciples eating with impure (that is, unwashed) hands, they found fault:
3 Na Yudafo no, ne titiriw no Farisifo nnidi da, gye sɛ wɔahohoro wɔn nsa ho nyinaa, sɛnea wɔn amanne kyerɛ, ansa na wɔadidi.
for the pharisees, and indeed all the Jews, do not eat till they have washed their hands thoroughly, observing the tradition of the ancients.
4 Na sɛ wofi gua so ba a, wɔhohoro wɔn nsa ansa na wɔadidi. Eyi yɛ mmara bebree a wofi tete adi so no mu baako. Na mmara no bi ne sɛ, wɔhohoro nkuruwa, asɛn ne kɔberesɛn mu.
And when they come from the market, they do not eat till they have washed. And there are many other things, which they have received to observe, as the washing of cups, and pots, and brass-vessels, and seats.
5 Enti Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo no bisaa Yesu se, “Adɛn nti na wʼasuafo no nni yɛn amanne a efi tete no so? Efisɛ wodidi a, wonni kan nhohoro wɔn nsa sɛnea amanne kyerɛ no.”
Then the pharisees and the scribes ask Him, Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but eat without washing their hands?
6 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mo nyaatwomfo! Asɛm a Yesaia ka faa mo ho sɛ, “‘Saa nnipa yi de wɔn ano na edi me ni, nanso wɔn koma mmɛn me ho baabiara.
But He answered them, Well did Esaias prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me:
7 Wɔsom me kwa; na wɔn nkyerɛkyerɛ yɛ nnipa nsa ano mmara’ yɛ nokware turodoo!
and in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the injunctions of men.
8 Mugyaw Onyankopɔn mmara a wahyehyɛ no de mo ankasa mo amanne si anan mu.
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye retain the tradition of men, as the washings of pots and cups, and many other such like things.
9 “Moahyɛ da sɛ mobɛpo Onyankopɔn mmara no, na moatiatia so, ama mo amanne no atim.
And ye expressly annul the commandment of God, that ye may retain your own tradition;
10 Ɛho nhwɛso bi ne sɛ, Mose de Onyankopɔn mmara a ɛka se, ‘Di wʼagya ne wo na ni’ no maa mo. Ɔkae se, ‘obiara a ɔbɛkasa atia nʼagya anaa ne na no, ɛsɛ sɛ wokum no.’
for Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, He that revileth father or mother, let him be put to death:
11 Nanso moka se, eye sɛ obi bɛka akyerɛ nʼagya anaa ne na a ade bi hia no no se, ‘Merentumi mmoa mo! Efisɛ mede nea anka a ɛsɛ sɛ mede ma mo no ama Onyankopɔn.’
but ye say, If a man tell his father or mother, That which thou mightest be profited by from me is Corban, (that is, a gift to the temple) it sufficeth:
12 Enti mubu Onyankopɔn mmara a ɔhyɛe no so, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mubetumi abɔ mo amanne ho ban.
and so ye allow him to do nothing more for his father or his mother:
13 Eyi yɛ nhwɛso baako pɛ. Nanso bebree ka ho.”
making void the word of God by your tradition, And many such like things ye do.
14 Afei Yesu frɛɛ nnipakuw no baa ne nkyɛn, ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mo nyinaa muntie asɛm a mereka yi yiye, na monte ase.
And calling all the people to Him, He said unto them,
15 Ade biara a ɛkɔ onipa mu no ngu ne ho fi. Na mmom nea ebefi onipa mu aba no na egu ne ho fi.
Hear me all of you, and understand, There is nothing without a man, which entring into him can defile him: but the things proceeding from him are those which defile a man.
16 Nea ɔwɔ aso a obetie no ntie.”
If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Afei Yesu fii nnipakuw no mu kɔɔ fie no, nʼasuafo no bisaa no asɛm a ɔkae no ase.
And when He was come into the house, away from the multitude, his disciples asked Him concerning the meaning of the parable.
18 Obisaa wɔn se, “Mo nso monte asɛm a mekae no ase? Munhu sɛ, nea mudi no ngu mo ho fi ana?
And He saith unto them, Are ye so void of understanding also? Do ye not know, that whatsoever from without entreth into a man cannot defile him?
19 Efisɛ nea mudi biara no ne mo koma nni hwee yɛ, na mmom ɛfa ɔyafunu no mu kɛkɛ.”
because it entreth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all his food.
20 Ɔtoaa so se, “Nea efi onipa mu ba no na egu ne ho fi.
But said He, What cometh out of a man, that defileth the man;
21 Afei nea efi nnipa koma mu ba no, ɛde aguamammɔ, korɔn, awudi,
for out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts,
22 ayefasɛm, amumɔyɛ, asisi, ahohwi, anibere, abususɛm, ahantan ne nkwaseasɛm ba.
adulteries, fornications, murthers, thefts, avarice, malice, deceit, lasciviousness, envy, slander, pride, folly;
23 Saa nnebɔne yi nyinaa fi onipa mu na ɛba, na ɛno na egu onipa ho fi a ɛmma ɔmfata Onyankopɔn anim.”
all these evils come from within and defile the man.
24 Yesu fi hɔ no, ɔkɔɔ Tiro ne Sidon fam pɛɛ sɛ ɔrekɔhyɛ hɔ komm a obiara nte ne nka, nanso anyɛ ye. Da a oduu hɔ ara pɛ, na nkurɔfo tee ne nka sɛ waba hɔ.
And He arose and went from thence to the borders of Tyre and Sidon; and going into a house He would have had no body know it, but He could not be concealed: for a woman,
25 Ɛhɔ ara na ɔbea bi a honhommɔne hyɛ ne babea ketewa bi mu baa ne nkyɛn. Na wate Yesu nka nti, obebuu no nkotodwe.
whose child was possessed by an evil spirit, having heard of Him, came and fell at his feet,
26 Ɔbea no srɛɛ no sɛ ontu saa honhommɔne no mfi ne ba no mu mma no. Na saa ɔbea yi yɛ Helani a wɔwoo no wɔ Siro-Foinike.
(now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation, ) and she besought Him to cast out the demon from her daughter.
27 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Ɛsɛ sɛ mma no mee ansa. Na enye sɛ wɔde mma aduan ma akraman.”
But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be satisfied: for it is not fit to take the children's bread, and throw it to the dogs.
28 Ɔbea no nso buae no se, “Owura, ɛyɛ nokware de, nanso ɛyɛ a wɔde aduan a aka wɔ mmofra no prɛte mu no bi ma akraman a wɔhyehyɛ ɔpon no ase no.”
And she answered and said unto Him, True, Lord, yet the dogs under the table, eat of the children's crumbs.
29 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Wo mmuae pa no nti masa wo babea no yare. Kɔ fie. Honhommɔne no afi ne mu kɔ.”
And He said unto her, For this saying, go thy way, the demon is gone out of thy daughter.
30 Oduu fie no, ohuu sɛ ne babea no da mpa so dinn a honhommɔne no afi ne mu ampa ara.
And she went away to her house, and found the demon gone out, and her daughter laid on the bed.
31 Yesu fi Tiro no, ɔfaa Sidon mansin a emu nkurow yɛ du no so beduu Galilea Po so.
And departing again out of the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, He came to the sea of Galilee thro' the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 Wɔde ɔsotifo bi a ɔsan yɛ mum brɛɛ no. Wɔn a wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa srɛɛ Yesu sɛ, ɔmfa ne nsa nka ɔyarefo no, na ɔnsa no yare.
And they brought to Him a deaf man, who had likewise an impediment in his speech, and pray Him to put his hand upon him.
33 Yesu soo ne mu de no fii nnipakuw no mu. Afei ɔde ne nsateaa hyɛɛ ɔbarima no asom, tee ntasu de kaa ne tɛkrɛma.
And He took him aside out of the croud, and He spit and put his fingers into his ears, and touched his tongue:
34 Ɔhwɛɛ ɔsoro, guu ahome teɛɛ mu se, “Hefata!” Ase ne, “bue!”
and looking up to heaven He sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, be opened:
35 Amono mu hɔ ara, ɔbarima no aso buei, ne tɛkrɛma sanee, na ofii ase kasae.
and immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake distinctly.
36 Yesu bɔɔ nnipakuw no ano se, wɔmmmɔ asɛm no dawuru nkyerɛ obiara. Nanso mpɛn dodow a ɔbraa wɔn no, na trɛw ara na wɔn nso wɔretrɛw asɛm no mu.
And He charged them to tell no one, but the more He charged them, the more they published it:
37 Saa asɛm yi maa wɔn ho dwiriw wɔn yiye. Enti wɔkae se, “Yesu ayɛ ade nyinaa yiye, ɔma asotifo mpo te asɛm, na mum nso kasa!”
and were exceedingly astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
