Marko 6
1 Yesu fi faako a ɔwɔ hɔ kɔɔ ne kurom a nʼasuafo no ka ne ho.
And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 Ɔkɔɔ hyiadan mu Homeda, fii ase kyerɛkyerɛ maa dodow a wobetiee no ho dwiriw wɔn. Wobisae se, “Ɛhe na saa onipa yi nyaa saa nneɛma yi, dɛn nyansa na wɔde ama no a nti otumi yɛ anwonwade yi?
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing [him] were astonished, saying, From whence hath this [man] these things? and what wisdom [is] this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Ɛnyɛ duadwumfo no ni? Ɛnyɛ Maria babarima a ne nuanom ne Yakobo, Yosef, Yuda ne Simon no ni? Ɛnyɛ yɛne ne nuabeanom na ɛte ha!” Na wɔn bo fuw no.
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Odiyifo kurom, nʼabusuafo mu, ne ne fi na onni anuonyam.”
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 Wantumi anyɛ anwonwade ahorow wɔ hɔ, gye ayarefo kakraa bi na ɔde ne nsa guu wɔn so saa wɔn yare.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].
6 Gye a wɔannye no anni no yɛɛ no nwonwa. Na Yesu kyinkyinii nkuraase kyerɛkyerɛe.
And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
7 Yesu frɛɛ nʼasuafo dumien no baa ne nkyɛn, na ɔsomaa wɔn baanu baanu, maa wɔn tumi wɔ ahonhommɔne so.
And he called [unto him] the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
8 Akwankyerɛ a ɔde maa wɔn ni, “Mommfa biribiara nkura gye mo pema nko ara; mommfa aduan anaa kotoku anaa sika.
And commanded them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in [their] purse:
9 Bio, mommfa mpaboa foforo anaa atade foforo nka nea ɛhyɛ mo yi ho.
But [be] shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
10 Baabiara a mobɛkɔ no, montena ofi baako pɛ mu. Monnsesa mo atenae.
And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
11 Na sɛ morefi kurow bi a wɔannye anaa wɔantie mo no mu akɔ a, momporoporow mo anan ase tutuw, mfa nni adanse.”
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12 Asuafo no kɔkaa asɛm no kyerɛɛ obiara a wohyiaa no no sɛ ɔnsakra nʼadwene, ntwe ne ho mfi ne bɔne ho.
And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
13 Na wotutuu ahonhommɔne bebree, de ngo sraa ayarefo pii saa wɔn yare.
And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed [them].
14 Ɔhene Herode tee eyi, efisɛ na Yesu din atrɛw. Ebinom kae se, “Osuboni Yohane no na wasan aba nkwa mu bio, enti na otumi yɛ anwonwade a ɔyɛ yi.”
And king Herod heard [of him]; (for his name was spread abroad: ) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
15 Ebinom nso susuw sɛ, Yesu yɛ Odiyifo Elia na wasan aba. Afoforo nso kae se, odiyifo foforo bi a ɔte sɛ tete adiyifo akɛse no bi na waba.
Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
16 Herode kae se, “Dabi, ɛyɛ Osuboni Yohane a mitwaa ne ti no. Wanyan afi owu mu.”
But when Herod heard [thereof], he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
17 Saa bere no na Herode asoma asraafo ma wɔakɔkyere Yohane de no ato afiase, efisɛ na Yohane akasa atia Herode ne Herodia a na ɔyɛ Herode nua Filipo yere no aware.
For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.
18 Osuboni Yohane ka kyerɛɛ Herode se, “Wunni ho kwan sɛ woware wo nua yere.”
For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
19 Asɛm a Yohane kae no anyɛ Herodia nso dɛ, ma onyaa ne ho menasepɔw kae se, ɛsɛ sɛ wokum Yohane. Nanso ɔrentumi nkum no gye sɛ Herode ama no tumi.
Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
20 Na Herode de obu ma Yohane, efisɛ na onim sɛ ɔyɛ onipa trenee. Eyi nti ɔbɔɔ ne ho ban. Bere biara a Horode ne Yohane bɛkasa no, na ne ho yeraw no nanso eyi nyinaa akyi no, ɔde ntoboase tiee no.
For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
21 Nea Herodia pɛɛ sɛ ɛnyɛ Yohane no baa mu. Ɛne sɛ, na Herode redi nʼawoda, ma ɔtoo pon wɔ nʼahemfi maa ne mpanyimfo, nʼasafohene ne Galilea mpanyimfo.
And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief [estates] of Galilee;
22 Herodia babea bɛsaw kyerɛɛ wɔn ma ɛyɛɛ wɔn nyinaa fɛ. Herode de ntam ka kyerɛɛ ababaa no se, “Bisa me biribiara a wopɛ; sɛ mʼaheman mu fa mpo na wopɛ koraa a, mede bɛma wo!”
And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give [it] thee.
And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give [it] thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
24 Ababaa yi kɔɔ ne na nkyɛn kobisaa no nea ommisa ma ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Bisa no Osuboni Yohane ti!”
And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25 Ababaa yi de ahoɔhare san baa ɔhene no nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Mepɛ sɛ wode Osuboni Yohane ti to prɛte mu ma me mprempren ara!”
And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
26 Eyi maa ɔhene no werɛ howee, nanso esiane sɛ na waka ntam wɔ nnipa no anim no nti, wammu bɔ a ɔhyɛɛ ne babea no so.
And the king was exceeding sorry; [yet] for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
27 Herode somaa nʼasraafo no mu baako sɛ ɔnkɔ afiase hɔ nkotwa Yohane ti mfa mmrɛ no. Ɔsraani no kotwaa Osuboni Yohane ti,
And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 na ɔde too prɛte mu brɛɛ ababaa no ma ɔde kɔmaa ne na.
And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29 Bere a Yohane asuafo no tee nea asi no, wɔbɛfaa nʼamu no kosiee no wɔ ɔboda bi mu.
And when his disciples heard [of it], they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
30 Asomafo no san baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛkaa nea wɔyɛɛ ne nea wɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ nnipa a wɔkɔɔ wɔn nkyɛn no nyinaa kyerɛɛ no.
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 Yesu tiee wɔn amanneɛ no wiee no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Momma yɛntwe yɛn ho mfi nnipakuw yi ho na yɛnkɔhome kakra.” Nea ɛma ɔkaa saa ne sɛ, na nnipa a wɔba wɔn nkyɛn no to ntwa da. Wonnya kwan mpo na wɔadidi.
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 Yesu ne nʼasuafo no tenaa ɔkorow mu kɔɔ baabi a obiara nni hɔ.
And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
33 Nanso bere a wɔrekɔ no, nnipa pii huu wɔn ma wotuu mmirika faa mpoano hɔ kotwaa wɔn ho.
And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
34 Eyi nti bere a Yesu sii fam no, na nnipakuw ahyia wɔ hɔ. Ohuu wɔn no ne yam hyehyee no maa wɔn efisɛ na wɔte sɛ nguan a wonni ɔhwɛfo. Ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn nneɛma bebree a ɛsɛ sɛ wohu.
And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 Onwini reyɛ adwo no, nʼasuafo no baa ne nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Ade resa. Aduan biara nso nni ha.
And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time [is] far passed:
36 Ka kyerɛ nnipa no na wɔnkɔ nkurow mu ne nkuraa a atwa yɛn ho ahyia yi ase, na wɔnkɔtɔ aduan bi nni.”
Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Momma wɔn aduan nni.” Wobisaa no se, “Ansa na yebetumi ama saa nnipa dodow yi aduan no, ɛsɛ sɛ yenya asram asia akatua. Yɛnsɛe sika a ɛte saa mfa mma wɔn brodo nni ana?”
He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Brodo ahe na mowɔ? Monkɔ na monkɔhwɛ.” Wɔsan ba bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Wɔwɔ brodo anum ne mpataa abien.”
He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 Afei Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nnipakuw no se, wɔntenatena ase, na wɔtenatenaa ase akuwakuw wɔ sare no so.
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 Wɔtenatenaa ase akuwakuw a bi yɛ ɔha na bi yɛ aduonum.
And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 Yesu faa brodo anum ne mpataa abien no, na ɔhwɛɛ soro, bɔɔ mpae, hyiraa so. Obubuu brodo no mu de maa asuafo no sɛ wɔnkyɛ mma nnipa no. Na ɔkyɛɛ mpataa no nso maa wɔn.
And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave [them] to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 Nnipa no dii aduan no maa obiara mee!
And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 Nnipa a wodii aduan no bɛyɛ mmarima mpem anum;
And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 na wɔtasee ase nkae no, ɛyɛɛ nkɛntɛn dumien.
And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
45 Adidi no akyi pɛ, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, wɔnkɔtena ɔkorow no mu, na wonni kan nkɔ Betsaida, na ɔregya nnipakuw no kwan na watiw wɔn.
And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46 Akyiri no, ɔkɔɔ bepɔw no so kɔbɔɔ mpae.
And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
47 Anadwo no a asuafo no te ɔkorow mu adu asu no mfimfini no, na Yesu nko ara na ɔwɔ mpoano.
And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 Ohuu sɛ na wɔn ho akyere wɔn; ɛne sɛ, mframa a ano yɛ den ne asorɔkye bɔ dwiradwiraa ɔkorow no, enti na wɔrebrɛ wɔ ɔkorow no hare mu. Anɔpahema bɛyɛ sɛ nnɔnabiɛsa bere mu no, ɔnantew asu no ani baa wɔn nkyɛn. Ɔyɛɛ sɛ ɔretwa wɔn ho.
And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 Bere a asuafo no huu obi sɛ ɔnam asu no ani no, wɔde ehu teɛteɛɛ mu efisɛ na wosusuw sɛ wɔahu ɔsaman.
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 Wɔn nyinaa huu no. Ɛhɔ ara, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Momma mo bo ntɔ mo yam. Ɛyɛ me! Munnsuro!”
For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 Afei ɔkɔɔ wɔn nkyɛn wɔ ɔkorow no mu no, mframa no gyaee. Asuafo no ho dwiriw wɔn,
And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 efisɛ na wɔnte aduanma no ase, na wɔapirim wɔn koma.
For they considered not [the miracle] of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
53 Wotwaa asu no baa Genesaret na woduu hɔ no, wɔde ɔkorow no baa mpoano.
And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54 Na wosi fii ɔkorow no mu no, nnipa a wogyinagyina hɔ no huu no.
And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
55 Wotuu mmirika kyinii nkurow a atwa hɔ ahyia no nyinaa so soaa nnipa a wɔyare deda wɔn akɛtɛ so brɛɛ no wɔ baabiara a wɔtee sɛ ɔwɔ.
And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56 Na nkuraa ase anaa nkurow so baabiara a ɔkɔe no, wɔde ayarefo beguu mmɔnten so, srɛɛ no sɛ ɔmma wɔmfa wɔn nsa nka nʼatade ano kɛkɛ. Ayarefo dodow a wotumi de wɔn nsa kaa nʼatade ano no ho yɛɛ wɔn den.
And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
