1 Bere a ogu so rekyerɛkyerɛ no, nnipadɔm san betwaa ne ho hyiaa wɔ mpoano hɔ. Eyi nti ɔkɔtenaa ɔkorow mu toaa ne kyerɛkyerɛ no so.
And again He began to teach by the sea, and there was gathered to Him a great multitude, so that He, having gone into the boat, sat in the sea, and all the multitude was near the sea, on the land,
2 Na sɛnea ɔyɛ daa no, ɔnam mmebu so kyerɛɛ wɔn nneɛma bebree se:
and He taught them many things in allegories, and He said to them in His teaching:
3 “Muntie! Okuafo bi kɔɔ nʼafum koguu aba. Ogu so regu aba no,
“Listen, behold, the sower went forth to sow;
4 Ogu so regu aba no, aba no bi guu kwankyɛn maa nnomaa bɛsosɔw ne nyinaa dii.
and it came to pass, in the sowing, some fell by the way, and the birds of the sky came and devoured it;
5 Ebi nso koguu ɔbotan a dɔte a ɛwɔ so no nnɔɔso so.
and other fell on the rocky ground, where it did not have much earth, and immediately it sprang forth, because of having no depth of earth,
6 Ankyɛ na efifii, nanso esiane sɛ dɔte a ɛwɔ ɔbotan no so no nnɔɔso no nti owia bɔɔ so, na ne nyinaa hyewee.
and the sun having risen, it was scorched, and because of having no root it withered;
7 Aba no bi nso guu nsɔe mu maa nsɔe no kyekyeree no nti antumi ansow aba.
and other fell toward the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it gave no fruit;
8 Aba no bi nso guu asase pa mu maa bi nyin sow mmɔho aduasa, ebi aduosia, na afoforo nso mmɔho ɔha.”
and other fell to the good ground, and was giving fruit, coming up and increasing, and it was bearing, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one a hundred.”
9 Na Yesu kae se, “Nea ɔwɔ aso no ntie!”
And He said to them, “He who is having ears to hear—let him hear.”
10 Akyiri no a ɛkaa ɔne dumien no ne asuafo afoforo bi no, wobisaa no se, “Asɛm a wokae no ase ne dɛn?”
And when He was alone, those around Him, with the Twelve, asked Him of the allegory,
11 Obuaa wɔn se, “Mo de, wɔada Onyankopɔn Ahenni ho ahintasɛm adi akyerɛ mo. Nanso afoforo de, wɔka no abebu mu na ɛkyerɛ wɔn.
and He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the secret of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, in allegories are all the things done,
12 Esiane saa nti, “‘Wohu na wɔte, nanso wɔrente nea wɔte no ase, na wɔrennan mma Onyankopɔn nkyɛn, na wɔremfa wɔn bɔne nso nkyɛ wɔn.’
that seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest they may turn, and the sins may be forgiven them.”
13 “Na sɛ moante saa bɛ yi ase a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na moate mmɛ ahorow a merebebu no ase?
And He says to them, “Have you not known this allegory? And how will you know all the allegories?
14 Okuafo no asɛm no.
He who is sowing sows the word;
15 Aba a eguu kwankyɛn no gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔte Onyankopɔn asɛm, nanso sɛ wɔte asɛm no a ntɛm ara na ɔbonsam ba wɔn nkyɛn ma wɔn werɛ fi nea wɔate no nyinaa.
and these are they by the way where the word is sown: and whenever they may hear, Satan immediately comes, and he takes away the word that has been sown in their hearts.
16 Aba a eguu ɔbotan so no gyina hɔ ma nnipa a wɔde anigye tie asɛm no.
And these are they, in like manner, who are sown on the rocky ground: who, whenever they may hear the word, immediately receive it with joy,
17 Nanso wɔte sɛ aba a afifi foforo a ne ntin nkɔ fam. Mfiase no wɔkɔ so fɛfɛɛfɛ, nanso sɛ ɛba sɛ asɛm no nti ɔtaa anaa amanehunu bi to wɔn pɛ a na wɔapa abaw.
and have no root in themselves, but are temporary; afterward tribulation or persecution having come because of the word, immediately they are stumbled.
18 Aba a eguu nsɔe mu no nso gyina hɔ ma nnipa a wɔte asɛmpa no,
And these are they who are sown toward the thorns: these are they who are hearing the word,
19 nanso ɛnkyɛ koraa na wiase yi mu afɛfɛde ne ahonyade ne ɔbra yi mu dadwen, nnaadaa ne nneɛma bi ho akɔnnɔ abɛhyɛ wɔn koma mu. Eyi nti asɛm no ntumi nsow aba biara. (aiōn g165)
and the anxieties of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, and the desires concerning the other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
20 Nnipa no bi te sɛ aba a wogu wɔ asase pa mu, wɔte asɛm no, wogye, na wɔsow aba— bi mmɔho aduasa, bi nso sow aduosia, na afoforo nso sow ɔha.”
And these are they who on the good ground have been sown: who hear the word, and receive, and bear fruit, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one a hundred.”
21 Afei Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Moahu obi a ɔsɔ kanea na ɔde hyɛ mpa ase, anaasɛ ɔde ahina butuw so? Mmom mommfa nsi ne dua so ana?
And He said to them, “Does the lamp come that it may be put under the measure, or under the bed—not that it may be put on the lampstand?
22 Wɔbɛda nea ahintaw biara no adi, na nea wɔakata so biara no wɔde bepue gua.
For there is not anything hid that may not be revealed, nor was anything kept hid but that it may come to light.
23 Nea ɔwɔ aso a obetie no, ma ontie!
If any has ears to hear—let him hear.”
24 “Momfa asɛm a mote no nyɛ adwuma. Wɔde mo susukuruwa besusuw ama mo, na ama aboro so mpo.
And He said to them, “Take heed what you hear; in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear it will be added;
25 Nea ɔwɔ no, wɔbɛma no bi aka ho; nea onni no, kakraa bi a ɔwɔ no mpo, wobegye afi ne nsam.”
for whoever may have, there will be given to him, and whoever has not, also that which he has will be taken from him.”
26 Ɔkaa bio se, “Sɛnea Onyankopɔn Ahenni no te ni: Okuafo bi gu aba wɔ asase bi so.
And He said, “Thus is the Kingdom of God: as if a man may cast the seed on the earth,
27 Awia ne anadwo, sɛ ɔda o, sɛ onyan o, aba no fifi a onnim sɛnea ɛyɛɛ a enyinii.
and may sleep, and may rise night and day, and the seed springs up and grows, he has not known how;
28 Asase no ankasa bɔ nʼaduan, dua no na edi kan, afei etu mɛpɛsɛe na abɔ ama aba no anyin.
for of itself the earth bears fruit, first a blade, afterward an ear, afterward full grain in the ear;
29 Sɛ aba no nyin wie a, okuafo no fa ne dade kotwa, efisɛ otwa bere adu.”
and whenever the fruit may yield itself, immediately he sends forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
30 Ɔsan kae se, “Dɛn ho na yɛde Ɔsoro Ahenni no bɛto, anaa mmebusɛm bɛn na yɛde bɛkyerɛkyerɛ mu?
And He said, “To what may we liken the Kingdom of God, or in what allegory may we compare it?
31 Ɛte sɛ onyaa aba, a ɛyɛ ketewaa wɔ aba a wodua nyinaa mu.
As a grain of mustard, which, whenever it may be sown on the earth, is less than any of the seeds that are on the earth;
32 Na sɛ wodua a enyin yɛ kɛse sen nnua a aka no nyinaa, eyiyi mman akɛse ma wim nnomaa besisi ne nwini mu.”
and whenever it may be sown, it comes up, and becomes greater than any of the herbs, and makes great branches, so that under its shade the birds of the sky are able to rest.”
33 Mmebu a ɛtete sɛ eyinom na Yesu de kaa asɛm no kyerɛɛ wɔn, sɛnea wobetumi ate ase.
And with many such allegories He was speaking to them the word, as they were able to hear,
34 Ɔnam mmebu so na ɔkasa kyerɛɛ wɔn a wobetiee no no nyinaa, na sɛ ɛka ɔne nʼasuafo no nko a, ɔkyerɛ wɔn ne nyinaa ase.
and without an allegory He was not speaking to them, and by themselves, to His disciples He was expounding all.
35 Eduu anwummere no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Momma yentwa nkɔ asuogya nohɔ.”
And He says to them on that day, evening having come, “We may pass over to the other side”;
36 Ɔkaa saa no, wogyaw nnipadɔm no hɔ na ɔne wɔn kɔe a akorow afoforo di wɔn akyi.
and having let away the multitude, they take Him up as He was in the boat, and other little boats were also with Him.
37 Prɛko pɛ, ahum kɛse bi tu maa asorɔkye bu bɛkataa ɔkorow no so ma ɛyɛɛ sɛ ɛremem.
And there comes a great storm of wind, and the waves were beating on the boat, so that it is now being filled,
38 Saa bere no, na Yesu wɔ ɔkorow no to de ne ti ato sumii so ada. Asuafo no de ahopopo ne nteɛteɛ mu konyan no kae se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, yɛreyɛ amem yi ɛmfa wo ho?”
and He Himself was on the stern, sleeping on the pillow, and they wake Him up, and say to Him, “Teacher, are You not caring that we perish?”
39 Ɔsɔre teɛteɛɛ mframa no ka kyerɛɛ po no se, “Yɛ komm!” Mframa no gyaee, na po no yɛɛ komm!
And having awoken, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace, be stilled”; and the wind stilled, and there was a great calm;
40 Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Adɛn na moyɛ ahufo sɛɛ? Moda so nni gyidi ara?”
and He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How have you no faith?”
41 Na wɔn ho dwiriw wɔn yiye, bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Onipa bɛn ni a mframa ne po mpo tie no yi?”
And they feared a great fear and said to one another, “Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
