< Marko 1 >

1 Asɛmpa a ɛfa Yesu Kristo, Onyankopɔn Ba no ho no mfiase ni.
Beginning of the glad-message of Jesus Christ.
2 Wɔakyerɛw wɔ Odiyifo Yesaia nhoma no mu se, “Mɛsoma me bɔfo adi wʼanim kan. Ɔno na obesiesie ɔkwan ama wo.”
According as it is written in Isaiah the prophet—Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way, —
3 “Obi nne reteɛ mu wɔ sare so, ‘Munsiesie ɔkwan mma Awurade, mommɔ akwan a ɛteɛ mma no.’”
A voice of one crying aloud—In the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight, be making his paths.
4 Enti Yohane ba bɛbɔɔ asu wɔ sare so, ɔkaa adwensakra asubɔ a ɛma bɔnefakyɛ ho asɛm.
John the Immerser came, in the wilderness, proclaiming an immersion of repentance for remission of sins;
5 Nnipa fifi Yerusalem ne Yudea nkurow nyinaa so kohuu Yohane tiee no. Na wɔkaa wɔn bɔne kyerɛɛ no no, ɔbɔɔ wɔn asu wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan mu.
and there were going out unto him all the Judaea country and all they of Jerusalem, and were being immersed by him in the Jordan river, openly confessing their sins;
6 Na Yohane hyɛ atade a wɔde yoma nwi na apam a aboa nhoma abɔso nso bɔ mu. Na nʼaduan yɛ mmoadabi ne ɛwo.
and John was clothed with camel’s-hair and a leathern girdle about his loins, and was eating locusts and wild honey;
7 Ɔrekyerɛkyerɛ no, ɔkae se, “Ɛrenkyɛ koraa, obi bɛba a ɔwɔ tumi sen me, a ne mpaboa hama mpo, mensɛ sɛ mekotow na masan.
and he proclaimed, saying—He that is mightier than I cometh after [me], of whom I am not worthy to stoop and unloose the strap of his sandals:
8 Me de, mede nsu na ɛbɔ mo asu, na ɔno de, ɔde Honhom Kronkron na ɛbɛbɔ mo asu!”
I, have immersed you, with water, —He, will immerse you, with the Holy Spirit.
9 Saa bere no mu na Yesu fi Nasaret a ɛwɔ Galileaman mu ba maa Yohane bɔɔ no asu wɔ asubɔnten Yordan mu.
And it came to pass, in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed into the Jordan by John;
10 Yesu fii asu no mu sii konkɔn so ara pɛ, ohuu sɛ ɔsoro abue, na Honhom Kronkron resian sɛ aborɔnoma aba ne so.
And, straightway, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rending asunder, and, the Spirit, as a dove, descending unto him;
11 Na nne bi fi ɔsoro kae se, “Wone me Dɔba a wosɔ mʼani.”
and a voice [came] out of the heavens—Thou, art my Son, the Beloved, —In thee, I delight.
12 Ɛhɔ ara, Honhom Kronkron de Yesu kɔɔ sare so.
And, straightway, the Spirit urgeth him forth into the wilderness;
13 Ɔtenaa hɔ adaduanan a na wuram mmoa na ɛka ne ho. Ɛhɔ na ɔbonsam sɔɔ no hwɛe. Akyiri no, abɔfo ba bɛsom no.
and he was in the wilderness, forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts, —and, the messengers, were ministering unto him.
14 Ɔhene Herode kyeree Yohane akyi no, Yesu kɔɔ Galilea kɔkaa asɛmpa no wɔ hɔ.
And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the glad-message of God,
15 Ɔkae se, “Bere no awie du! Onyankopɔn ahenni no abɛn. Monsakra mo adwene na munnye asɛmpa no nni!”
[and saying]—The season is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God hath drawn near, —Repent ye, and have faith in the glad-message.
16 Da bi a Yesu nam Galilea mpoano no, ohuu Simon ne ne nua Andrea sɛ wɔregu asau.
And, passing by near the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea, —for they were fishers;
17 Yesu frɛɛ wɔn se, “Mummedi mʼakyi! Na mɛma mo ayɛ nnipayifo.”
and Jesus said unto them—Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
18 Ɛhɔ ara, wogyaw wɔn asau no guu hɔ kodii nʼakyi.
and, straightway, leaving the nets, they followed him.
19 Ɔkɔɔ nʼanim kakra no, ohuu Sebedeo mma baanu a wɔfrɛ ɔbaako Yohane, na ɔbaako nso de Yakobo, sɛ wɔte ɔkorow mu reyɛ wɔn asau ho adwuma.
And, going forward a little, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, and them who were in the boat putting in order the nets;
20 Ɔfrɛɛ wɔn nso se wommedi nʼakyi. Ntɛm ara na wogyaw wɔn agya Sebedeo ne nʼapaafo hɔ wɔ ɔkorow no mu bedii nʼakyi.
and, straightway, he called them, —and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat, with the hired men, they came away after him.
21 Yesu ne nʼakyidifo yi beduu Kapernaum. Na Homeda duu no, ɔkɔɔ asɔredan mu kɔkaa asɛmpa no.
And they journey into Capernaum. And, straightway, on the Sabbath, entering into the synagogue, he began teaching;
22 Nnipa no tee asɛm no maa wɔn ho dwiriw wɔn, efisɛ ɔkasaa te sɛ obi a ɔwɔ tumi, na mmom wankasa sɛ Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo no.
and they were being struck with astonishment at his teaching, —for he was teaching them as one having authority, and, not as the Scribes.
23 Amono mu hɔ ara na ɔbarima bi a ɔwɔ wɔn hyiadan no mu hɔ a ɔwɔ honhommɔne teɛɛ mu se,
And, straightway, there was in their synagogue, a man in an impure spirit, —and he cried out aloud,
24 “Dɛn na wo Nasareni Yesu ne yɛn wɔ yɛ? Woaba sɛ worebɛsɛe yɛn ana? Minim wo sɛ wone Onyankopɔn Ba Kronkron no!”
saying—What have we in common with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee, who thou art, The Holy One of God.
25 Yesu teɛteɛɛ honhommɔne no se, “Mua wʼano! Fi ne mu kɔ!”
And Jesus rebuked him, [saying]—Be silenced, and come forth out of him!
26 Honhommɔne no wosow saa ɔbarima no na ɔteɛteɛɛ mu dennen maa ne tu kɔe.
And the impure spirit, tearing him, and calling out with a loud voice, came forth out of him;
27 Nnipa no nyinaa ho dwiriw wɔn ma wobisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se. “Nkyerɛkyerɛ foforo bɛn ni? Ahonhommɔne mpo tie ne nne!”
and they were amazed, one and all, so that they began to discuss among themselves, saying—What is this? New teaching! With authority, to the impure spirits also, he giveth orders, and they obey him!
28 Saa anwonwade a ɔyɛe yi ho nsɛm trɛw faa Galileaman mu nyinaa.
And forth went the report of him, straightway, on every hand, into the surrounding country of Galilee.
29 Wofii hyiadan no mu no, wɔne Yakobo ne Yohane kɔɔ Simon ne Andrea fi.
And, straightway, out of the synagogue, going forth, he went unto the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Na Simon asebea da mpa so a atiridii akyere no, na wɔkaa ne ho asɛm kyerɛɛ Yesu.
Now, the mother-in-law of Simon, was lying in a fever, and, straightway, they speak to him concerning her;
31 Yesu kɔɔ faako a ɔda hɔ kosoo ne nsa ma ɔsɔre tenaa ase. Ɛhɔ ara na atiridii no tu fii ne so ma ofii ase twɛn wɔn.
and, coming near, he raised her up, grasping her hand, —and the fever left her, and she began ministering unto them.
32 Eduu anwummere no, nnipa no de ayarefo ne wɔn a wɔwɔ ahonhommɔne brɛɛ Yesu sɛ ɔnsa wɔn yare.
And, evening arriving, when the sun went in, they were bearing unto him all who were sick, and them who were demonized;
33 Kurow mu no nyinaa bɛboaa wɔn ho ano wɔ ofi no abobow ano,
and all the city was gathered unto the door;
34 na Yesu saa ayarefo bebree yare. Otuu ahonhommɔne bebree nso. Nanso, wamma ahonhommɔne no ankasa, efisɛ, na wonim no.
and he cured many that were sick with divers diseases, and, many demons, he cast out, and suffered not the demons to be talking, —because they knew him [to be Christ].
35 Ahemadakye a na anim ntetewee no, Yesu sɔre fii fie hɔ kɔɔ baabi a ɛhɔ yɛ dinn, kɔbɔɔ mpae wɔ hɔ.
And, very early by night arising, he went out [and departed] into a desert place, and, there, was praying;
36 Simon ne wɔn a wɔka ne ho fii adi kɔhwehwɛɛ no,
and Simon, and they who were with him, went in quest of him,
37 na wohuu no no, wɔteɛɛ mu kae se, “Nnipa bebree rehwehwɛ wo!”
and found him, and say unto him—All, are seeking thee;
38 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛkɔ nkurow a aka no so, na mekɔka mʼasɛm kyerɛ wɔn, efisɛ, ɛno nti na mebae.”
and he saith unto them—Let us be going elsewhere, into the neighbouring country-towns, in order that, there also, I may be making proclamation, —for, to this end, came I forth;
39 Enti, ɔkɔɔ Galileaman mu baabiara kɔkaa asɛmpa no wɔ asɔredan mu, tuu ahonhommɔne bebree nso.
and he came, making proclamation, into their synagogues, throughout the whole of Galilee, —and, was casting the demons out.
40 Ɔkwatani bi bɛkotow no srɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛ ɛyɛ wo pɛ a, wubetumi ama me ho afi.”
And there cometh unto him, a leper, beseeching him and [kneeling], —saying unto him—If thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me;
41 Yesu huu ɔkwatani no mmɔbɔ, enti ɔde ne nsa kaa no kae se, “Mepɛ! Wo ho mfi!”
and, moved with compassion, he stretched forth the hand, and touched him, and saith unto him—I am willing, Be cleansed!
42 Amono mu hɔ ara, ne ho fi maa ne ho tɔɔ no!
and, straightway, the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed;
43 Yesu bɔɔ nʼano denneennen se,
and, strictly charging him, straightway, he urged him forth;
44 “Nka saa asɛm yi nkyerɛ obiara, na mmom fa wo ho kɔkyerɛ ɔsɔfo. Sɛ worekɔ a fa wʼafɔrebɔde a Mose ahyɛ sɛ akwatafo a wɔasa wɔn yare mfa nka wɔn ho nkɔ no ka wo ho kɔ sɛnea ɛbɛma obiara ahu sɛ wo ho atɔ wo.”
and saith unto him—Mind! unto no one, say aught, —but withdraw, thyself, show unto the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what things Moses enjoined, for a witness unto them.
45 Nanso ɔrekɔ no nyinaa, na ɔde nteɛteɛmu rebɔ nʼayaresa no ho dawuru. Esiane eyi nti sɛ Yesu kɔ baabiara a, nnipadɔm betwa ne ho hyia. Ɛno nti na baabiara a ɔbɛkɔ no onnyi ne ho adi. Enti ɔtenaa sare so hɔ maa nnipa bebree baa ne nkyɛn.
But, he, going forth, began to be proclaiming many things, and blazing abroad the story, so that, no longer, was it possible for him, openly, into a city, to enter, —but, outside, in desert places, [was he], and they were coming unto him from every quarter.
