< Luka 16 >
1 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Ɔdefo bi wɔ hɔ a na ɔwɔ ofi sohwɛfo bi. Ɔdefo yi tetee sɛ ne fi sohwɛfo no resɛe ne nneɛma.
And he said also to his disciples: There was a certain rich man who had a steward: and the same was accused unto him, that he had wasted his goods.
2 Ɔtee saa asɛm no, ɔfrɛɛ ne fi sohwɛfo no ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Dɛn na metete fa wo ho yi? Bebu wʼadwuma ho akontaa kyerɛ me na merentumi ne wo nyɛ adwuma bio.’
And he called him, and said to him: How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship: for now thou canst be steward no longer.
3 “Ofi sohwɛfo no kaa wɔ ne tirim se, ‘Menyɛ dɛn ni? Nnɛ a wɔrepam me afi fie ha yi, ɛhe na mɛfa? Minni ahoɔden a mede bɛdɔw, na mefɛre nso sɛ mɛsrɛsrɛ ade.
And the steward said within himself: What shall I do, because my lord taketh away from me the stewardship? To dig I am not able; to beg I am ashamed.
4 Minim nea mɛyɛ a ɛbɛma wɔn a wɔdede me wura aka no behu me mmɔbɔ.’
I know what I will do, that when I shall be removed from the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 “Enti ɔfrɛfrɛɛ wɔn a wɔdede ne wura aka no mmaako mmaako. Obisaa nea odi kan no se, ‘Ɛka ahe na wode me wura?’
Therefore calling together every one of his lord’s debtors, he said to the first: How much dost thou owe my lord?
6 “Obuae se, ‘Mede ngo nhina aduonu ka.’ “Enti ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Yɛ ntɛm tena ase na twa mu na kyerɛw sɛ, wode ngo nhina du ka.’
But he said: An hundred barrels of oil. And he said to him: Take thy bill and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
Then he said to another: And how much dost thou owe? Who said: An hundred quarters of wheat. He said to him: Take thy bill, and write eighty.
8 “Ɔdefo no huu nea ofi sohwɛfo no yɛe no akyi, nanso ɔnam fɛwdi so kamfoo no wɔ nʼanifiri no ho. Saa ara nso na wiase yi mma susuw sɛ wonim nyansa sen wɔn a wɔyɛ Onyankopɔn akyidifo no. (aiōn )
And the lord commended the unjust steward, forasmuch as he had done wisely: for the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light. (aiōn )
9 Na me nso mise mo sɛ, momfa wiase ahonyade no bi nyɛ nnamfo, na sɛ ɛsa a wɔagye mo. (aiōnios )
And I say to you: Make unto you friends of the mammon of iniquity; that when you shall fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings. (aiōnios )
10 “Nanso nea odi nokware wɔ kakraa bi ho no bedi nokware wɔ pii ho; na nea onni nokware wɔ kakraa bi ho no rentumi nni nokware wɔ pii ho.
He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in that which is greater: and he that is unjust in that which is little, is unjust also in that which is greater.
11 Sɛ moantumi anni nokware wɔ wiase nneɛma ho a, hena na ɔde ɔsoro nnepa bɛhyɛ mo nsa?
If then you have not been faithful in the unjust mammon; who will trust you with that which is the true?
12 Sɛ moanni nokware wɔ obi ade bi a wɔde ahyɛ mo nsa no ho a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na wɔde nea ɛsɛ sɛ ɛyɛ mo dea no bɛma mo?
And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s; who will give you that which is your own?
13 “Ɔsomfo biara rentumi nsom awuranom baanu, efisɛ ɔyɛ saa a, ɔbɛdɔ ɔbaako na watan ɔbaako anaasɛ, ɔbɛsom ɔbaako yiye na wabu ɔbaako animtiaa. Morentumi nsom Onyankopɔn ne ahonyade.”
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
14 Farisifo sikaniberefo no tee nea Yesu kae no, wodii ne ho fɛw.
Now the Pharisees, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Moyɛ nnipa a mubu mo ho atreneefo wɔ nnipa anim, nanso Onyankopɔn nim mo koma mu. Na nea ɛsom bo wɔ nnipa ani so no yɛ akyide wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
And he said to them: You are they who justify yourselves before men, but God knoweth your hearts; for that which is high to men, is an abomination before God.
16 “Ansa na Osuboni Yohane bɛba no na Mose mmara ne adiyifo no nsɛm no na mudi so. Na Osuboni Yohane bae no ɔbɛkaa Onyankopɔn ahenni ho nsɛm kyerɛɛ mo, nti nnipa repere sɛ wɔbɛkɔ saa ahenni no mu.
The law and the prophets were until John; from that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every one useth violence towards it.
17 Ɛyɛ mmerɛw sɛ ɔsoro ne asase betwa mu sen sɛ mmara no mu nsensanee ketewa baako mpo bɛyera.
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fall.
18 “Obiara a ogyaa ne yere aware na ɔware ɔfoforo no bɔ aguaman; na nea ɔware ɔbea biara a ne kunu agyaa no no nso, bɔ aguaman.”
Every one that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth her that is put away from her husband, committeth adultery.
19 Yesu toaa so kae se, “Ɔdefo bi tenaa ase a na daa ofura ntama pa na ogye nʼani yiye nso.
There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen; and feasted sumptuously every day.
20 Na ɔbarima hiani bi a akuru atutu no a wɔfrɛ no Lasaro no nso da nʼabobow ano.
And there was a certain beggar, named Lazarus, who lay at his gate, full of sores,
21 Ɔbarima yi kɔn dɔɔ sɛ anka obenya aduan a ɔdefo no adi ama aka no bi adi. Saa bere koro no ara mu na akraman ba faako a na ohiani no da hɔ no bɛtaforo nʼakuru no mu.
Desiring to be filled with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table, and no one did give him; moreover the dogs came, and licked his sores.
22 “Ohiani no wu maa abɔfo bɛfaa no kɔtenaa Abraham nkyɛn. Ɔdefo no nso wu ma wosiee no.
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. And the rich man also died: and he was buried,
23 Ɔdefo no wɔ asaman a ne ho yeraw no no, ɔmaa nʼani so huu Lasaro sɛ ɔte Abraham nkyɛn. (Hadēs )
in hell. And lifting up his eyes when he was in torments, he saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom: (Hadēs )
24 Ɔdefo no teɛɛ mu se, ‘Agya Abraham, mesrɛ wo hu me mmɔbɔ na soma Lasaro na ɔmfa ne nsateaa ano nkɔbɔ nsu mu mfa mmɛsɔ me tɛkrɛma so na me ho yeraw me.’
And he cried, and said: Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, to cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.
25 “Abraham buaa no se, ‘Me ba, kae sɛ wote wiase no wudii dɛ na Lasaro dii yaw, nanso afei na ɔredi dɛ na wo nso woredi yaw.
And Abraham said to him: Son, remember that thou didst receive good things in thy lifetime, and likewise Lazareth evil things, but now he is comforted; and thou art tormented.
26 Ɛnyɛ eyi nko, obon kɛse da yɛn ne mo ntam a ɛno nti, wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wofi ha ba mo nkyɛn hɔ ne wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wofi mo nkyɛn hɔ ba ha no nso rentumi mma.’
And besides all this, between us and you, there is fixed a great chaos: so that they who would pass from hence to you, cannot, nor from thence come hither.
27 “Ɔdefo no san ka kyerɛɛ Abraham se, ‘Agya, mesrɛ wo, soma Lasaro kɔ mʼagya fi,
And he said: Then, father, I beseech thee, that thou wouldst send him to my father’s house, for I have five brethren,
28 efisɛ mewɔ nuabarimanom baanum. Ma ɔnkɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn mu biara remma saa ahoyeraw yi mu bi.’
That he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torments.
29 “Abraham buaa no se, ‘Wɔwɔ nsɛm a Onyankopɔn nam Mose ne adiyifo no so aka enti ma wontie na wonni so.’
And Abraham said to him: They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 “Ɔdefo yi kaa bio se, ‘Agya Abraham, nea woreka yi wɔ mu de, nanso sɛ obi fi asaman ha kɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ de a, wɔbɛsakra wɔn adwene.’ ()
But he said: No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will do penance.
31 “Abraham buae se, ‘Sɛ wɔantie nea Onyankopɔn nam Mose ne adiyifo no so aka no a, saa ara nso na sɛ obi fi asaman ha kɔkasa kyerɛ wɔn a, wɔrentie no no.’” ()
And he said to him: If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they believe, if one rise again from the dead.
