< Luka 13 >
1 Saa bere no na nnipa bi bɛka kyerɛɛ Yesu se Pilato akum Galileafo bi a wɔrebɔ afɔre ama Onyankopɔn na ɔde wɔn mogya afra afɔrebɔ no.
Now there were present some, in that very season, bringing tidings to him, concerning the Galilaeans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mugye di sɛ saa Galileafo no yɛ nnebɔneyɛfo sen wɔn a aka no nyinaa nti na wokum wɔn no?
And, answering, he said unto them—Suppose ye, that, these Galilaeans, had become, sinners beyond all the Galilaeans, because, these things, they have suffered?
3 Dabi da, sɛ mo nso moansakra mo adwene a, wobekunkum mo saa ara.
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in like manner, shall perish.
4 Anaasɛ mususuw sɛ nnipa dunwɔtwe a Siloa abantenten no bu guu wɔn so, kunkum wɔn no yɛ nnebɔneyɛfo sen nnipa a na wɔte Yerusalem no?
Or, those eighteen, upon whom fell the tower in Siloam, and slew them, suppose ye that, they, had become, debtors, beyond all the men who were dwelling in Jerusalem?
5 Dabi da, mo nso moansakra a, mubewuwu saa ara.”
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in the same way, shall perish.
6 Afei Yesu buu wɔn bɛ yi se, “Ɔbarima bi duaa borɔdɔma wɔ ne turo mu. Da bi ɔkɔɔ turo no mu hɔ sɛ ɔrekɔtew so aba no bi nanso wannya bi.
And he went on to speak this parable: —A certain man had, a fig-tree, planted in his vineyard, and he canto seeking fruit therein, and found none.
7 Ɛno akyi, ɔfrɛɛ turo no sohwɛfo no ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Mfe abiɛsa ni, bere biara a mɛba sɛ merebɛtew borɔdɔma no bi no, minnya bi. Adɛn nti na ɛresɛe kwa yi? Twa kyene.’
And he said unto the vine-dresser—Lo! three years, I come, seeking fruit in this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down! Why doth it make, even the round useless?
8 “Turo no sohwɛfo no srɛɛ no se, ‘Me wura, ma ensi hɔ afe yi nso na mingugu ase sumina nhwɛ
And, he, answering, saith unto him—Sir! let it alone this year also, until such time as I dig about it, and throw in manure, —
9 sɛ ebia, ɛbɛsow aba bi ana, na sɛ antumi ansow a ɛno de metwa akyene.’”
and if it may bear fruit for the future; …but, otherwise, certainly, thou shalt cut it down.
10 Homeda bi a Yesu rekyerɛkyerɛ wɔ hyiadan mu no,
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the Sabbath.
11 na ɔbea bi wɔ hɔ a honhommɔne mu ɔyare bi akyere no mfe dunwɔtwe ama ne mu akoa a ontumi nteɛ ne mu koraa.
And lo! a woman, having a spirit of weakness eighteen years, —and was bowed together, and unable to lift herself up, at all.
12 Yesu huu no no, ɔfrɛɛ no fii nnipa no mu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Ɔbea, wo ho nyɛ wo den.”
And, seeing her, Jesus called her and said to her—Woman! thou art loosed from thy weakness, —
13 Ɔde ne nsa guu ne so, na amono mu hɔ ara otumi teɛɛ ne mu. Na ɔbea no yii Onyankopɔn ayɛ.
and laid on her his hands; and, instantly, she was made straight again, and began glorifying God.
14 Hyiadan no so panyin a ohuu ɔbea no ayaresa no de abufuw kae se, “Nnansia na ɛsɛ sɛ mode yɛ adwuma a saa nna no mu na ɛsɛ sɛ moba ma wɔsa mo yare, na ɛnyɛ homeda.”
But the synagogue-ruler, answering, being greatly displeased that, on the Sabbath, Jesus had healed, began saying unto the multitude—Six days, there are, in which men ought to get their work done; On them, therefore, come and be healed, and, not on the day of rest.
15 Na Awurade buaa no se, “Nyaatwomfo! Mo mu hena na ɔnsan ne nantwi anaa nʼafurum na ɔnka no nkɔnom nsu homeda?
The Lord answered him, and said—Hypocrites! Doth not, each one of you, on the Sabbath, loose his ox or ass from the manger, and, leading it away, give it drink?
16 Adɛn nti na Abraham aseni yi a ɔbonsam afa no nnommum mfe dunwɔtwe ni no ɛnsɛ sɛ mesa no yare homeda?”
But, this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo! eighteen years, was there not a needs-be that she should be loosed from this bond, on the day of rest?
17 Ɔkaa saa no, wɔn a na wɔne nʼadwene nhyia no nyinaa ani wui. Nnipa no nso a na wɔwɔ hyiadan no mu nyinaa ani gyee nʼanwonwade ahorow a ɔyɛe no nyinaa ho.
And, as he was saying, these, things, all who had been setting themselves against him were being put to shame; and, all the multitude, were rejoicing over all the glorious things which were being brought to pass by him.
18 Afei Yesu fii ase kyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn Onyankopɔn ahenni no ho asɛm, na obisaa wɔn se, “Onyankopɔn ahenni no te dɛn? Na dɛn na memfa nto ho nkyerɛkyerɛ ase?
He went on to say, therefore—Whereunto, is the kingdom of God, like? And, whereunto, shall I liken it?
19 Onyankopɔn ahenni no te sɛ onyaa aba ketewa bi a obi duaa wɔ nʼafuw mu na enyin yɛɛ dutan kɛse maa nnomaa kɔnwen wɔn mmerebuw wɔ so.”
It is, like, unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and, the birds of heaven, lodged amongst its branches.
20 Obisaa bio se, “Dɛn bio na memfa ntoto ho nkyerɛ ase?
And, again, he said—Whereunto, shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Ɛte sɛ mmɔkaw bi a brodotofo de fɔtɔw mmɔre ma etu.”
It is, like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until, the whole, was leavened.
22 Bere a Yesu rekɔ Yerusalem no, ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔ nkurow so ne nkuraa ase ansa na ɔredu hɔ.
And he was journeying on, city by city and village by village, and making, progress, unto Jerusalem.
23 Ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no mu no, obi bisaa no se, “Awurade, nnipa kakraa bi na wobegye wɔn nkwa ana?” Obuaa no se,
And one said unto him—Lord! are they, few, who are being saved? And, he, said unto them—
24 “Mompere nhyɛn ɔpon teateaa no mu, efisɛ nnipa pii bɛhwehwɛ sɛ wobewura mu, nanso wɔrentumi.
Be striving to enter through the narrow door; for, many, I say unto you, will seek to enter, and will not be able, —
25 Sɛ ɛba sɛ ofiwura no ato ɔpon no mu a, mobɛba abegyina akyi abɔ mu, aka se, ‘Owura, yɛsrɛ wo bue yɛn.’ “Na ɔno nso abisa mo se, ‘Mufi he? Minnim mo?’
when once the householder shall rouse himself, and lock the door, and ye begin to stand, outside, and to knock at the door, saying—Lord! open to us; and he shall answer and say unto you—I know you not, whence ye are.
26 “Na mo nso moaka akyerɛ no se, ‘Yɛne wo too nsa didii na wokyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔ yɛn mmorɔn so.’
Then, will ye begin to say—We did eat and drink in thy presence, and, in our broadways, thou didst, teach;
27 “Na ofiwura no nso bebisa mo bio se, ‘Mufi he? Minnim mo. Mumfi mʼani so nkɔ, mo nnebɔneyɛfo!’
And he will speak, saying unto you—I know not whence ye are; Depart from me, all workers of unrighteous—
28 “Na sɛ muhu Abraham, Isak, Yakob ne nkɔmhyɛfo no nyinaa sɛ wɔwɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni no mu a, mode mo nsa begu mo ti atwa agyaadwo, efisɛ wɔbɛtow mo agu sum kabii mu.
There, will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, as soon as ye see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and, yourselves, being thrust forth outside.
29 Nnipa fi apuei ne atɔe nyinaa behyia wɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni no mu hɔ ato nsa adidi.
And they shall have come from east and west, and from north and south, and be made recline in the kingdom of God.
30 Na monkae sɛ akyikafo bi wɔ hɔ a, wobedi kan, na adikanfo bi nso wɔ hɔ a, wɔbɛka akyi.”
And lo! there are, last, who shall be, first, and there are, first, who shall be, last;
31 Saa bere no ara mu na Farisifo bi baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Fi ha kɔ, efisɛ Herode rehwehwɛ wo akum wo.”
In that very hour, came near certain Pharisees, saying unto him, Go forth, and be journeying hence, because, Herod, desireth to slay thee.
32 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Monkɔka nkyerɛ sakraman no se, ‘mitu ahonhommɔne, na masa nyarewa nnɛ ne ɔkyena na ne nnansa so no, medu Yerusalem.’
And he said unto them—Go and tell this fox, Lo! I am casting out demons, and, cures, am I finishing, to-day, and to-morrow, —
33 Nanso ɛsɛ sɛ menantew nnɛ ne ɔkyena ne nʼadekyee, na otwa ara na etwa sɛ odiyifo bewu wɔ Yerusalem!
and, on the third, I am to be made perfect. Nevertheless, I must needs, to-day, and tomorrow, and the following, be journeying on, because it is impossible that a prophet perish, outside Jerusalem.
34 “Yerusalem, Yerusalem, wo a wukum adiyifo na wusiw wɔn a wɔsoma wɔn wo nkyɛn no abo! Mpɛn ahe ni a mepɛɛ sɛ meboaboa wo mma ano sɛ akokɔbeatan boaboa ne mma ano wɔ ne ntaban ase nanso moampene so.
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! she that slayeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! How often, have I desired to gather together thy children, like as a hen, her own brood, under her wings, —and ye did not desire!
35 Na mo afi bɛdan afituw na morenhu me kosi sɛ mobɛka se, ‘Nhyira ne nea ɔnam Awurade din mu reba no!’”
Lo! your house is left to you. [And] I say unto you—In nowise shall ye see me, until ye say, —Blessed, is he that cometh in the name of the Lord!
