< Luka 12 >

1 Nnipa mpempem kyeree so a wonnya baabi ntu wɔn anan nsi mpo no, Yesu dii kan kasa kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Monhwɛ mo ho so yiye wɔ Farisifo nyaatwom a ɛte sɛ mmɔkaw no ho.
In the mean time, when there was gathered an innumerable multitude of people, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Biribiara a wɔyɛ no kokoa mu no bɛda adi na nea ahintaw no nso bepue.
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Enti nea moaka wɔ sum mu no, wɔbɛte wɔ hann mu. Na nea moaka no asomsɛm wɔ adan mu no, wɔbɛbɔ no dawuru.
Therefore, whatever ye have spoken in darkness, shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets, shall be proclaimed upon the house-tops.
4 “Me nnamfonom, mereka akyerɛ mo se, munnsuro wɔn a wokum nipadua na ɛno akyi wontumi nyɛ hwee bio no.
And I say to you, my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 Na mɛkyerɛ mo nea ɛsɛ sɛ musuro no. Munsuro nea wakum onipadua no awie no, ɔwɔ tumi sɛ ɔtow kyene amanehunu kurom. Mereti mu akyerɛ mo se, oyi na munsuro no. (Geenna g1067)
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Wɔntɔn nkasanoma anum nnye sika kakraa bi? Nanso Onyankopɔn werɛ remfi wɔn mu baako po da.
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 Mo tinwi mpo wɔakan ne nyinaa. Enti munnsuro, efisɛ mosom bo sen nkasanoma pii.
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 “Na mereka akyerɛ mo se, obiara a ɔbɛbɔ me din wɔ nnipa anim no, Onipa Ba no nso bɛbɔ ne din wɔ Onyankopɔn abɔfo no anim.
Also I say to you, Whoever shall confess me before men, him will the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.
9 Na nea ɔbɛpa me nnipa anim no, me nso mɛpa no, Onyankopɔn abɔfo anim.
But he that denieth me before men, shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 Obiara a ɔbɛkasa atia Kristo no, wɔde bɛkyɛ no. Nanso nea ɔbɛkasa atia Honhom Kronkron no de, wɔremfa nkyɛ no da.
And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.
11 “Sɛ wɔde mo ba mpanyin anim wɔ hyiadan mu a, munnnwinnwen nsɛm a mobɛka anaasɛ nea mode beyi mo ho ano no ho,
And when they bring you to the synagogues, and [before] magistrates, and powers, be not solicitous how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 efisɛ saa bere no ara mu na Honhom Kronkron no bɛkyerɛ mo nea ɛsɛ sɛ moka.”
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 Obi fi nnipa no mu ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, ka kyerɛ me nua na ɔne me nkyɛ agyapade a yɛn agya de agyaw yɛn no.”
And one of the company said to him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 Yesu buaa no se, “Damfo, hena na ɔyɛɛ me mo so otemmufo ne ɔsɛnnifo?”
And he said to him, Man, who made me a judge, or a divider over you?
15 Ɔtoaa so se, “Monhwɛ mo ho yiye wɔ adifudepɛ ho efisɛ onipa nkwa nnyina nʼahonya dodow a ɔwɔ so.”
And he said to them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 Afei obuu wɔn bɛ yi se, “Ɔdefo bi wɔ hɔ a na ɔwɔ asase pa a ɛmaa no nnɔbae pii.
And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 Esiane sɛ na ne nnɔbae no nkɔ pata a wabɔ no so nti ɛyɛɛ no dadwen ma obisaa ne ho se, ‘Minnya baabi a mede me nnɔbae bebrebe yi begu menyɛ no dɛn?’
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to deposit my fruits?
18 “Afei ɔkae se, ‘Minim nea mɛyɛ. Mebubu me pata yi nyinaa na mabɔ no akɛse de nea mewɔ nyinaa asie hɔ.
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I deposit all my fruits and my goods.
19 Na maka akyerɛ me kra se, “Ɔkra, ma wʼani nnye na didi, na nom, efisɛ wowɔ nneɛma pa pii a ɛbɛso wo mfe bebree!”’
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast abundance of goods laid up for many years; take thy ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry.
20 “Nanso Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Ɔkwasea! Anadwo yi ara wobegye wo kra afi wo nsam, na hena na nneɛma bebree a woapɛ agu hɔ yi, wode begyaw no?’
But God said to him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?
21 “Ɛno nti saa ara na obiara a ɔbɛboaboa agyapade ano de ne ho ato so no nyɛ ɔdefo Onyankopɔn anim ne no.”
So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich towards God.
22 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Munnnwinnwen nea mubedi anaa nea mubefura ho.
And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 Mowɔ ɔkra ne nipadua a ɛsom bo sen nea mubedi ne nea mubefura.
The life is more than food, and the body [is more] than raiment.
24 Monhwɛ kwaakwaadabi, wonnua aba na wontwa. Saa ara nso na wonni pata a wɔde wɔn nnɔbae sie so, nanso Onyankopɔn ma wɔn aduan di. Monsom bo nsen wɔn ana?
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap: which neither have store-house, nor barn; and God feedeth them: How much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 Mo mu hena na ɔdwene a adwennwene no betumi ato ne nkwa nna so simmasin?
And which of you by solicitude can add to his stature one cubit?
26 Na sɛ muntumi nyɛ ade ketewaa a ɛte sɛɛ mpo a, adɛn na mudwinnwen nneɛma akɛse ho?
If ye then are not able to do that thing which is least, why are ye anxious for the rest?
27 “Monhwɛ sɛnea sukooko nyin. Wɔnyɛ adwuma, na wɔnnwen ntama mfura. Nanso Salomo ahonya ne nʼanuonyam nyinaa akyi no, na nʼahoɔfɛ nnu wuram nhwiren yi.
Consider the lilies how they grow: They toil not, they spin not; and yet I say to you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 Mo a mo gyidi hinhim, sɛ Onyankopɔn siesie wuram nhwiren a efifi nnɛ na ɔkyena awu no ho ma ɛyɛ fɛ a, adɛn nti na ɔrensiesie mo nso mo ho mma ɛnyɛ fɛ.
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to-day in the field, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more [will he clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
29 Saa ara nso na munnnwinnwen nea mubedi anaa nea mobɛnom ho.
And seek ye not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 Saa nneɛma yi na wiase amanaman pere hwehwɛ, nanso mo de, mo Agya nim sɛ eyinom nyinaa ho hia mo.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 Enti monhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn ahenni kan na ɔde eyinom nyinaa bɛma mo.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
32 “Kuw ketewa, munnsuro efisɛ ɛyɛ mo Agya no pɛ sɛ ɔde ahenni no bɛma mo.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Montontɔn mo ahode na monkyɛ ahiafo ade. Eyi bɛma mo agyapade a ɛwɔ ɔsoro no ayɛ pii. Monhyehyɛ mo agyapade wɔ ɔsoro, nea owifo ntumi nkowia na mfɔte ntumi nkɔwe.
Sell what ye have, and give alms: provide yourselves bags which become not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 Na nea wʼagyapade wɔ no, ɛhɔ na wo koma nso wɔ.”
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 “Munnyina pintinn na momma mo akanea nhyerɛn,
Let your loins be girt, and [your] lights burning;
36 na monyɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔretwɛn wɔn wura a ɔkɔ ayeforohyia ase na sɛ ɔba na ɔbɔ pon mu pɛ a, wobebue no ntɛm no.
And ye yourselves like men that wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately.
37 Wɔn a wɔn wura no ba a ɔbɛba abɛto wɔn sɛ wɔretwɛn no no ani begye. Ɔbɛto wɔn pon na ɔno ankasa asom wɔn.
Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them to sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 Sɛ ɔba ɔdasu mu anaa ahemadakye mpo a asomfo a ɔbɛba abɛto wɔn sɛ wɔrewɛn no no ani begye.
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find [them] so, blessed are those servants.
39 Ɛsɛ sɛ muhu sɛ, sɛ ofiwura nim bere a owifo bɛba a, anka ɔbɛwɛn na owifo no annya ne ho kwan ammɛbɔ no korɔn.
And this know, that if the master of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would watch, and not suffer his house to be broken through.
40 Enti munsiesie mo ho, efisɛ Onipa Ba no bɛba bere a mo ani nna so sɛ ɔbɛba.”
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Petro bisaa Yesu se, “Awurade, worebu bɛ yi akyerɛ yɛn nko ara anaasɛ obiara?”
Then Peter said to him, Lord, speakest thou this parable to us, or even to all?
42 Yesu buaa no se, “Merekasa akyerɛ ɔsomfo nokwafo nyansafo biara a ne wura de ne fi sohwɛ bɛhyɛ ne nsa na wahwɛ ama obiara aduan wɔ ne bere mu.
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of provisions in due season?
43 Nhyira ne ɔsomfo a ne wura no bɛba abɛto no sɛ wayɛ nʼadwuma pɛpɛɛpɛ.
Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Meka mo nokware se ɔde nea ɔwɔ nyinaa bɛhyɛ ne nsa na wahwɛ so!
In truth I say to you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ saa ɔsomfo yi nso ka se, ‘Me wura nnya mmae’ na ɛno nti, ɔhwe asomfo a wɔaka no, na odidi, nom nsa bow a,
But if that servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the men-servants, and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken?
46 ne wura no bɛba da a nʼani nna so sɛ ɔbɛba. Na sɛ ne wura no ba a, ɔbɛtwe nʼaso dennen na wabu no sɛ obi a onnye Onyankopɔn nni.
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him asunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 “Ɔsomfo a onim nea ne wura pɛ, na wanyɛ ne wura no apɛde no wɔbɛbɔ no mmaa pii.
And that servant who knew his lord's will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].
48 Na ɔsomfo a onnim nea ne wura pɛ na enti ɔyɛɛ nea ne wura mpɛ no, wɔbɛbɔ no mmaa kakraa bi. Na obiara a wɔama no pii no, wobebisa pii afi ne nkyɛn; na nea wɔde bebree ahyɛ ne nsa no, obebu bebree ho akontaa.”
But he that knew not, and committed things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, from him they will ask the more.
49 “Maba sɛ merebɛsɔ ogya wɔ asase so na sɛ asɔ dedaw a, na nea merehwehwɛ ara ne no.
I am come to send fire on the earth, and what will I, if it is already kindled?
50 Asubɔ bi wɔ hɔ a wɔde bɛbɔ me a, ɛde me bɛkɔ amanehunu mu, na merennya ahotɔ, gye sɛ wɔabɔ me saa asu no ansa.
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it shall be accomplished!
51 Mususuw sɛ mebae sɛ mede asomdwoe reba asase yi so? Dabi! Ɛnyɛ asomdwoe na mede bae na mmom mpaapaemu.
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, No; but rather division:
52 Efi nnɛ, mpaapaemu bɛba afi mu, baasa bɛba mʼafa na baanu atia me anaasɛ baanu bɛba mʼafa na baasa atia me.
For from henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 Agya ne ne babarima renyɛ adwene, ɔbabea ne ne na renyɛ adwene, ase ne asebea adwene renhyia.”
The father will be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
54 Na ɔka kyerɛɛ nnipakuw no nso se, “Sɛ muhu sɛ osu amuna wɔ atɔe a, ntɛm ara, moka se, ‘Osu bɛtɔ’! Na osu tɔ ampa.
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, immediately ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 Saa ara nso na sɛ muhu sɛ mframa bɔ fi anafo reba a, moka se, ‘Ahuhuru bɛba!’ Na ɛba mu ampa.
And when [ye perceive] the south wind blowing, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Mo nyaatwomfo! Mutumi kyerɛ wim nsakrae ase, nanso nneɛma a nnɛ yi atwa mo ho ahyia, ne nea ɛbɔ mo kɔkɔ no de, munhu.
[Ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, and of the earth; but how is it, that ye do not discern this time?
57 “Adɛn nti na munim nea eye na monyɛ?
And why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 Sɛ wode obi ka a, bɔ mmɔden kohu no na wone no nka ho asɛm na wamfa wo ankɔ asennii amma otemmufo amfa wo anto afiase.
When thou goest with thy adversary to the magistrate, [as thou art] in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he draw thee before the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 Sɛ woanyɛ no saa a, ɔbɛma woatua ka a wode no no nyinaa ansa na wagyaa wo.”
I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
