< 3 Mose 11 >

1 Afei, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose ne Aaron se,
And YHWH speaks to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
2 “Monka nkyerɛ Israelfo no se, ‘eyi ne mmoa a mubetumi awe wɔ asase so mmoa no mu.
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, This [is] the beast which you eat out of all the beasts which [are] on the earth:
3 Mutumi we aboa biara a ne tɔte mu apae kosi nea opuw wosaw so.
any dividing a hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hooves, bringing up the cud, among the beasts—you eat it.
4 “‘Monnnwe mmoa a wodidi so yi. Yoma, efisɛ opuw wosaw nanso ne tɔte mu mpae; ne ho ntew mma mo.
Only, this you do not eat, of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the hoof: the camel, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof is not dividing—it [is] unclean to you;
5 Atwaboa, efisɛ opuw wosaw nanso ne tɔte mu mpae; ne ho ntew mma mo.
and the hyrax, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof is not divided—it [is] unclean to you;
6 Adanko, efisɛ opuw wosaw nanso ne tɔte mu mpae; ne ho ntew mma mo.
and the hare, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof has not divided—it [is] unclean to you;
7 Prako, efisɛ ne tɔte mu apae nanso ompuw nwosaw; ne ho ntew mma mo.
and the sow, though it is dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet it does not bring up the cud—it [is] unclean to you.
8 Monnnwe wɔn nam anaa mommfa mo nsa nka wɔn funu; wɔn ho ntew mma mo.
You do not eat of their flesh, and you do not come against their carcass—they [are] unclean to you.
9 “‘Munni nsumnam biara a ɛwɔ ntɛtɛ ne abon a efi nsubɔnten anaa po mu.
This you eat of all which [are] in the waters: anything that has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them you eat;
10 Nanso nsumnam a aka no de, mukyi.
and anything that does not have fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which lives, which [is] in the waters—they [are] an abomination to you;
11 Ɛnsɛ sɛ mowe wɔn nam anaa mode mo nsa ka wɔn afunu; wɔn ho ntew.
indeed, they are an abomination to you; you do not eat of their flesh, and you detest their carcass.
12 Miti mu sɛ, nsumnam biara a enni ntɛtɛ anaa abon no, mukyi, wɔn ho ntew.
Anything that does not have fins and scales in the waters—it [is] an abomination to you.
13 “‘Nnomaa a ɛsɛ sɛ mubu wɔn sɛ wɔn ho ntew nti mukyi no korakora nso ne: ɔkɔre, ne opete ne opetebiri,
And these you detest of the bird—they are not eaten, they [are] an abomination: the eagle, and the bearded vulture, and the osprey,
14 ɔkompete, ɔsansa,
and the kite, and the falcon after its kind,
15 kwaakwaadabi,
every raven after its kind,
16 sohori, patukɛse, po so akorɔma, akorɔma,
and the ostrich, and the nightjar [[or male ostrich]], and the seagull, and the hawk after its kind,
17 patu, sare so patu, patukɛse,
and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 bakanoma, nantwinoma, opete,
and the waterhen, and the pelican, and the Egyptian vulture,
19 asukɔnkɔn, asuɔkwaa ne ampan.
and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 “‘Mmoawa a wotu a wɔn anan yɛ anan no nso nyɛ mmoa a wɔn ho tew; ɛnsɛ sɛ mowe.
Every teeming creature which is flying, which is going on four [legs]—it [is] an abomination to you.
21 Mmom, wɔn a wɔn anan bɔ mu a wɔde huruwhuruw wɔ fam no de mutumi we.
Only, this you eat of any teeming thing which is flying, which is going on four, which has legs above its feet, to move with them on the earth;
22 Ebi ne mmoadabi ahorow nyinaa, nketekre, ne tɛwtɛw nyinaa mutumi we.
these of them you eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the cricket after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind;
23 Nanso mmoawa a wotu na wɔwɔ anan anan no de, munhu sɛ wɔn ho ntew.
and every teeming thing which is flying, which has four feet—it [is] an abomination to you.
24 “‘Obiara a ɔde ne nsa bɛka wɔn funu no mpo ho begu fi kosi anwummere.
And you are made unclean by these; anyone who is coming against their carcass is unclean until the evening;
25 Obiara a ɔbɛfa bi no ɛsɛ sɛ ɔhoro ne ntama na ɔtwe ne ho fi nnipa mu kosi anwummere de kyerɛ sɛ ne ho agu fi.
and anyone who is lifting up of their carcass washes his garments, and has been unclean until the evening—
26 “‘Obiara a ɔde ne nsa bɛka aboa biara a ne tɔte mu mpae nwiei anaa aboa a ompuw nwosaw no, wagu ne ho fi.
even every beast which is dividing the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, and is not bringing up the cud—they [are] unclean to you; anyone who is coming against them is unclean.
27 Aboa biara a nʼanan yɛ anan na ɔnam nʼawerɛw so no, mukyi ne nam. Obiara a ɔde ne nsa bɛka aboa a ɔte saa funu no ho begu fi kosi anwummere; ɛyɛ mo akyiwade.
And anything going on its paws, among all the beasts which are going on four—they [are] unclean to you; anyone who is coming against their carcass is unclean until the evening;
28 Obiara a ɔbɛfa saa aboa no funu no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔhoro ne ntama na ne ho rentew ara kosi anwummere.
and he who is lifting up their carcass washes his garments, and has been unclean until the evening—they [are] unclean to you.
29 “‘Mmoa a wɔwea wɔ fam a wɔn ho ntew no ni: Ahweaa, okisi, ɔketew abusua a wɔsoso,
And this [is] the unclean to you among the teeming things which are teeming on the earth: the weasel, and the muroid, and the tortoise [[or large lizard]] after its kind,
30 opo, ɔmampam, ɔdan ne na, ɔketew, ne ɔbosomaketew.
and the gecko [[or ferret]], and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole;
31 Wɔn a wɔwea no nyinaa ho ntew mma mo, obiara a ɔde ne nsa bɛka wɔn mu bi funu no ho begu fi akosi anwummere
these [are] the unclean to you among all which are teeming; anyone who is coming against them in their death is unclean until the evening.
32 Biribiara a wɔn funu no bɛka no nso ho begu fi, sɛ ɛyɛ dua, ntama, kuntu, kotoku; biribiara a ɛbɛka no, wɔmfa ngu nsu mu nkosi anwummere. Ɛno akyi no, ɛho bɛtew.
And anything on which anyone of them falls, in their death, is unclean, of any vessel of wood or garment or skin or sack, any vessel in which work is done is brought into water, and has been unclean until the evening, then it has been clean;
33 Kuku biara a bi bɛtɔ mu no, nea ɛwɔ mu biara ho begu fi enti ɛsɛ sɛ wɔbɔ saa kuku no.
and any earthen vessel, into the midst of which [any] one of them falls, all that [is] in its midst is unclean, and you break it.
34 Nsu a wɔde bɛhohoro nneɛma a ɛho ntew no ho wɔ kuku no mu no, sɛ bi ka aduan bi a, ebegu aduan no ho fi. Na nsã biara a ɛwɔ kuku a ɛho agu fi no mu no nso ho begu fi saa ara.
Of all the food which is eaten, that on which comes [such] water, is unclean, and all drink which is drunk in any [such] vessel is unclean;
35 Sɛ aboa biara a ne ho agu fi funu ka fononoo a wɔde ɔbo anwen a, na ɛno nso ho agu fi enti ɛsɛ sɛ wobubu gu.
and anything on which [any] of their carcass falls is unclean; oven or double pots, it is broken down, they [are] unclean, indeed, they are unclean to you.
36 Sɛ aboa no tew hwe asuti anaa abura bi a nsu wɔ mu a, nsu no ho rengu fi, na mmom, onipa a obeyi aboa no ho na ebegu fi.
Only, a fountain or pit, a collection of water, is clean, but that which is coming against their carcass is unclean;
37 Na sɛ aboa no funu ka aduan a wobedua wɔ afum a, ɛho rengu fi,
and when [any] of their carcass falls on any sown seed which is sown—it [is] clean;
38 Nanso sɛ wɔfɔw aba no nsu na funu no tɔ so a, aba no ho begu fi.
and when water is put on the seed, and [any] of its carcass has fallen on it—it [is] unclean to you.
39 “‘Sɛ ɔyare bi kum aboa a wɔama wo ho kwan sɛ we ne nam a, obi a ɔde ne nsa bɛka ne funu no no ho begu fi akosi anwummere.
And when any of the beasts which are for food for you dies, he who is coming against its carcass is unclean until the evening;
40 Saa ara nso na onipa a ɔbɛwe ne nam no bɛhoro ne ntama na ne ho agu fi akosi anwummere.
and he who is eating of its carcass washes his garments, and has been unclean until the evening; and he who is lifting up its carcass washes his garments, and has been unclean until the evening.
41 “‘Monnnwe mmoa a wɔwea wɔ fam no nam.
And every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth is an abomination, it is not eaten;
42 Wɔn a wɔtwe wɔn ho ase fa wɔn afuru so ne wɔn a wɔnam wɔn anan anan so nyinaa ka ho. Monnnwe wɔn a wɔwɔ anan bebree na wɔwea no nam nso, efisɛ wɔn ho agu fi.
anything going on the belly, and any going on four, to every multiplier of feet, to every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth—you do not eat them, for they [are] an abomination;
43 Mfa wo ho nka wɔn na wo ho angu fi.
you do not make yourselves abominable with any teeming thing which is teeming, nor do you make yourselves unclean with them, so that you have been unclean with them.
44 Mene Awurade wo Nyankopɔn. Momma mo ho ntew wɔ saa nneɛma yi nyinaa ho na monyɛ kronkron, efisɛ meyɛ kronkron. Eyi nti, mommfa mo nsa nkɔka mmoa a wɔwea wɔ fam yi mu biara mfa ngu mo ho fi.
For I [am] your God YHWH, and you have sanctified yourselves, and you have been holy, for I [am] holy; and you do not defile your persons with any teeming thing which is creeping on the earth;
45 Mene Awurade a miyii mo fii Misraim de mo bɛyɛɛ mo Nyankopɔn no. Ɛno nti, ɛsɛ sɛ moyɛ kronkron, efisɛ meyɛ kronkron.
for I [am] YHWH who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt to become your God; and you have been holy, for I [am] holy.
46 “‘Eyi ne mmara a ɛfa mmoa, nnomaa, nsumnam ne wɔn a wɔwea asase so no ho.
This [is] a law of the beasts, and of the bird, and of every living creature which is moving in the waters, and of every creature which is teeming on the earth,
47 Eyi ne nsonoe a ɛda mmoa a wɔn ho tew a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔwe wɔn nam ne wɔn a wɔn ho ntew a ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔwe wɔn nam wɔ mmoa a wɔwɔ asase so no ntam.’”
to make separation between the unclean and the pure, and between the beast that is eaten, and the beast that is not eaten.”
