< Yosua 19 >

1 Asase no nkyemu a ɛto so abien no kɔɔ Simeon abusuakuw no nsam. Na Yuda asase atwa wɔn ho ahyia.
The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 Na nea edidi so yi ne Simeon agyapade: Beer-Seba, Seba ne Molada,
Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,
3 Hasar-Sual, Bala ne Esem,
Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Eltolad, Betul ne Horma,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 Siklag, Bet-Markabot ne Hasar-Susa,
Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,
6 Bet-Lebaot ne Saruhen. Nkurow dumiɛnsa ne wɔn nkuraa.
Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.
7 Nkurow a ɛka ho bio ne Ain, Rimon, Eter ne Asan, nkurow anan ne wɔn nkuraa,
The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.
8 ne nkuraa a ɛwɔ anafo fam kosi Baalat-Beer, nea ɛwɔ Negeb a wɔfrɛ no Rama no. Eyi ne mmusua a wɔwɔ Simeon abusuakuw mu no agyapade.
They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
9 Wɔn agyapade no yɛ Yuda de no fa bi a wɔde maa Yuda, efisɛ na Yuda asase no so dodo ma wɔn. Ɛno nti, Simeon abusuakuw no nyaa wɔn agyapade fii Yuda asase no mu.
The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.
10 Asase no nkyemu a ɛto so abiɛsa no kɔɔ mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Sebulon abusuakuw no nsam. Sebulon agyapade hye no fi ase wɔ Sarid.
The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].
11 Efi hɔ kɔ atɔe fam, kɔpa Marala ho na akɔka Dabeset. Ɛfa hɔ kɔ Yokneam apuei fam asuwa ho.
It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].
12 Ɔhye no fa fi Sarid kɔ apuei fam kosi Kislot-Tabor; ɛtoa so kɔ Daberat na aforo akɔ Yafia.
The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].
13 Afei, ɛtoa so kɔ apuei fam kodu Gat-Hefer, Et-Kasin ne Rimon, na adan ahwɛ Nea.
From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].
14 Sebulon hye a ɛda atifi fam no fa Hanaton na ebewie wɔ Yifta-El bon mu.
From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.
15 Nkurow ɛwɔ asase yi so ne: Katat, Nahalal, Simron, Yidala ne Betlehem. Nkurow dumien ne wɔn nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.
16 Eyi ne mmusua a ɛbɔ mu yɛ Sebulon abusuakuw no agyapade.
That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 Asase no nkyɛmufa a ɛto so anan no kɔɔ mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Isakar abusuakuw no nsam.
The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.
18 Nʼahye nenam saa nkurow yi so: Yesreel, Kesulot ne Sunem,
Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 Hafraim, Shion ne Anaharat,
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 Rabit, Kision ne Abes,
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 Remet, En-Ganim, En-Hada ne Bet-Pases.
Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.
22 Ɔhye no kɔfa Tabor, Sahasima ne Bet-Semes na akowie wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan ho. Nkurow dunsia ne wɔn nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.
23 Eyi ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Isakar abusuakuw no agyapade.
Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.
24 Asase no nkyemu a ɛto so anum no kɔɔ mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Aser abusuakuw no nsam.
The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
25 Nʼahye no fa saa nkurow yi so: Helkat, Hali, Beten ne Aksaf,
Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 Alamelek, Amad ne Misal. Ɔhye a ɛda atɔe fam no fi Karmel kɔ Sihor-Libnat,
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.
27 na ebukaw fa apuei fam kɔ Bet-Dagon, kɔ ara kosi Sebulon wɔ Yifta-El bon no mu, kɔ atifi fam kodu Bet-Emek ne Neiel. Ɛtoa so kɔ atifi fam, kɔfa Kabul,
From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].
28 ne Ebron ne Rehob ne Hamon ne Kana, kɔ ara kosi Sidon Kɛse.
From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.
29 Afei ɔhye no dan kɔfa Rama ne Kuropɔn Tiro a wɔabɔ ho ban no besi Po Kɛse no ho wɔ Hosa. Nkurow a ɛwɔ asase no so bi ne Mehebel ne Aksib,
From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,
30 Uma, Afek ne Rehob, Nkurow aduonu abien ne wɔn nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.
31 Eyi ne mmusua a ɛbɔ mu yɛ Aser abusuakuw no agyapade.
Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.
32 Asase no nkyemu a ɛto so asia no kɔɔ mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Naftali abusuakuw no nsam.
The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
33 Ne hye no fi Helef, Saananim dupɔn no ho, kɔfa Adami-Nekeb ne Yabneel, toa so kɔ Lakum kɔpem Asubɔnten Yordan.
The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].
34 Atɔe fam hye no twam wɔ Asnot-Tabor kɔ Hukok, kosi Sebulon hye no wɔ anafo fam, Aser hye wɔ atɔe fam ne Asubɔnten Yordan wɔ apuei fam.
The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.
35 Mantam yi mu nkuropɔn a na wɔabɔ ho ban no ne Sidim, Ser, Hamat, Rakat ne Kineret,
[Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
36 Adama, Rama ne Hasor,
Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 Kedes, Edrei ne En-Hasor,
Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,
38 Yiron, Midgal-el, Horem, Bet-Anat ne Bet-Semes. Nkurow dunkron ne wɔn nkuraase a atwa ho ahyia.
Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.
39 Eyi ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Naftali abusuakuw no agyapade.
Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.
40 Asase no nkyemu a ɛto so ason no kɔɔ mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Dan abusuakuw no nsam.
The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
41 Nkurow a na ɛwɔ Dan agyapade mu no bi yɛ Sora, Estaol ne Ir-Semes,
Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,
42 Saalabin, Ayalon ne Yitla,
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 Elon, Timna ne Ekron,
Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 Elteke, Gibeton ne Baalat,
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Yehud, Bene-Berak ne Gat-Rimon,
Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,
46 Me-Yarkon, Rakon ne asase a ɛda Yopa anim.
Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.
47 Nanso Dan abusuakuw no nyaa akwanside wɔ wɔn asase no fa ho enti wɔko tiaa Lesem. Wodii kurow no so, kunkum mu nnipa, faa hɔ, tenaa hɔ. Wɔde wɔn tete agya Dan din too kurow no.
But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.
48 Eyi ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Dan abusuakuw no agyapade, saa nkurow yi ne wɔn nkuraa.
All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.
49 Wɔkyekyɛɛ asase no mu maa Israel mmusuakuw no wiee no, Israelfo no maa Yosua asase sin sononko bi sɛ nʼagyapade.
After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.
50 Na Awurade aka se kurow biara a Yosua pɛ no, ɔmfa. Yosua faa Timmat-Sera a ɛwɔ Efraim bepɔw asase no so. Ɔkyekyeree kurow no foforo na ɔtenaa hɔ.
They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.

Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.
