< Yosua 15 >

1 Asase a wɔde maa mmusua a wobom yɛ Yuda abusuakuw no koduu Edom hye so wɔ anafo fam, na Sin sare so na ɛkɔpem.
[This] then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; [even] to the border of Edom, the wilderness of Zin southward [was] the uttermost part of the south border.
2 Anafo fam hye no fitii ase wɔ Nkyene Po no awiei a ɛwɔ anafo fam,
And their south border was from the shore of the salt-sea, from the bay that looketh southward:
3 sen faa Akrabbim kosii Sin sare so. Ɛtoaa so kɔɔ Kades-Barnea anafo fam kosii Hesron. Afei ɛkɔɔ soro kosii Adar na ɛpono kɔɔ Karka.
And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended on the south side to Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:
4 Etwaa mu ha kɔɔ Asmon koduu Misraim asuwa no ho, na ɛfaa ho ara kowiee wɔ Po Kɛse no mu. Eyi ne wɔn anafo fam hye.
[From thence] it passed towards Azmon, and went out to the river of Egypt; and the limits of that border were at the sea: this shall be your south limit.
5 Apuei fam hye no fi Nkyene Po no kodu Asubɔnten Yordan ano. Atifi fam hye no fi beae a Asubɔnten Yordan bɔ Nkyene Po no mu,
And the east border [was] the salt-sea, [even] to the end of Jordan: and [their] border in the north quarter [was] from the bay of the sea, at the uttermost part of Jordan:
6 twa mu kɔ Bet-Hogla, na afei akɔ Bet-Araba atifi fam, akɔka Bohan bo (Na Bohan yɛ Ruben babarima) no ho.
And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:
7 Efi hɔ a, ɛkɔfa Akɔr bon no mu kɔka Debir, na ɛdan wɔ atifi fam kyerɛ Gilgal, a etwa mu fi Adumim nsian mu wɔ anafo fam wɔ obon no nkyɛn mu. Efi hɔ a, ɔhye no sen kosi En-Semes nsu no ano, na akɔpem En-Rogel.
And the border went up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward looking towards Gilgal, that [is] before the going up to Adummim, which [is] on the south side of the river: and the border passed towards the waters of En-shemesh, and the borders of it were at En-rogel:
8 Afei, ɔhye no fa Hinom babarima bon no mu, kɔfa Yebusifo anafo nsian so, nea Yerusalem kuropɔn no da. Afei ɛkɔ atɔe fam wɔ bepɔw no apampam, toa so kɔ Hinom bon no so kosi Refaim bon ano wɔ atifi fam.
And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the south side of the Jebusite; the same [is] Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that [lieth] before the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9 Efi hɔ a, ɔhye no toa so kɔfa bepɔw no apampam kɔ Neftoa asuti no nsu ho, fi hɔ akɔ nkurow a ɛdeda Efron bepɔw so no. Na ebukaw kɔ Baala (a ɛyɛ Kiriat-Yearim.)
And the border was drawn from the top of the hill to the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which [is] Kirjath-jearim:
10 Ɔhye no twa fa Baala ho wɔ atɔe fam kosi bepɔw Seir so, ɛkɔ ara kosi Kesalon kurom wɔ bepɔw Yearim atifi nsian so, na akɔ fam akosi Bet-Semes ne Timna.
And the border compassed from Baalah westward to mount Seir, and passed along to the side of mount Jearim (which [is] Chesalon) on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:
11 Ɔhye no kɔɔ ara kosii bepɔw no nsian a ɛwɔ Ekron atifi fam no, dan kyerɛɛ Sikron, faa hɔ kɔɔ Baala bepɔw no de koduu Yabneel. Ɔhye no kɔpem Po Kɛse no.
And the border went out to the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out to Jabneel; and the terminations of the border were at the sea.
12 Na atɔe fam hye no nso ne Ntam Po no mpoano. Eyinom ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Yuda mmusuakuw no ahye.
And the west border [was] to the great sea, and its coast: this [is] the border of the children of Judah round about, according to their families.
13 Awurade hyɛɛ Yosua se ɔmfa Yuda asase no bi mma Yefune babarima Kaleb. Enti, wɔde kuropɔn Arba (a ɛyɛ Hebron) a wɔde too Anak tete agya no maa no.
And to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba the father of Anak, which [city is] Hebron.
14 Na Kaleb tuu Sesai, Ahiman ne Talmai a wɔyɛ Anak asefo no fii hɔ.
And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
15 Afei, ɔko tiaa nnipa a na wɔte kurow Debir (a kan no na wɔfrɛ no Kiriat-Sefer) no.
And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before [was] Kirjath-sepher.
16 Kaleb kae se, “Mede me babea Aksa bɛma obi a ɔbɛtow ahyɛ Kiriat-Sefer kurow no so na wadi so no aware.”
And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter for a wife.
17 Ɛnna Kaleb nua Kenas babarima Otniel dii so nti, Aksa bɛyɛɛ Otniel yere.
And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter for a wife.
18 Aksa waree Otniel no, ɔhyɛɛ no sɛ ommisa nʼagya Kaleb na ɔmfa asase no bi nka ho. Aksa fii nʼafurum so sii fam no, Kaleb bisaa no se, “Dɛn na menyɛ mma wo?”
And it came to pass, as she came [to him], that she moved him to ask of her father a field. And she lighted off [her] ass; and Caleb said to her, What wouldst thou?
19 Ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Yɛ me adom sononko. Woayɛ adom, ama me Asase wɔ Negeb; ma me nsuwansuwa asase nso.” Enti Kaleb maa no ɔsoro ne fam nsuwansuwa asase.
Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land, give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
20 Eyi ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Yuda abusuakuw no agyapade.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21 Na Yudafo nkurow a ɛdeda Edom ahye so wɔ anafo pɛɛ no ne: Kabseel ne Eder ne Yagur,
And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah towards the border of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 Kina ne Dimona ne Adada,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedes ne Hasor ne Itnan,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Sif ne Telem ne Bealot,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hasor-Hadata ne ne Keriot Hesron (a ɛne Hasor),
And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, [and] Hezron, which [is] Hazor,
26 Amam ne Sema ne Molada,
Aman, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hasar-Gada ne Hesmon ne Bet-Pelet,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,
28 Hasar-Sual ne Beer-Seba ne Bisotia,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29 Baala ne Iim ne Esem,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 El-Tolad ne Kesil ne Horma,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Siklag ne Madmana ne Sansana,
And Ziglag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaot ne Silhim ne Ain ne Rimon. Na saa nkurow yi nyinaa ne wɔn nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia dodow yɛ aduonu akron.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities [are] twenty and nine, with their villages:
33 Saa nkurow a na ɛwɔ atɔe fam nkoko no so, a wɔde maa Yuda ni: Estaol ne Sora ne Asna.
[And] in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Sanoa ne En-Ganim, Tapua ne Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Yarmut ne Adulam, Soko ne Aseka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Saaraim ne Aditaim ne Gedera ne Gederotaim. Saa nkurow yi ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodow yɛ dunan.
And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:
37 Nea ɛka ho bio ne Senan ne Hadasa ne Migdal-gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdalgad,
38 Dilean ne ne Mispe ne Yokteel,
And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 Lakis ne Boskat ne Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Kabon ne Lahmam ne Kitlis,
And Cabbon, and Lahman, and Kithlish,
41 Gederot, Bet-Dagon ne Naama ne Makeda. Saa nkurow yi ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodow yɛ dunsia.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:
42 Eyinom akyi no na Libna ne Eter ne Asan,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Yifta ne Asna ne Nesib,
And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keila ne Aksib ne Maresa ka ho. Saa nkurow yi ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodow yɛ akron.
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:
45 Ekron nkurow ne nkuraa nyinaa ka Yuda asase ho,
Ekron, with her towns and her villages:
46 efi Ekron no, ɔhye no trɛw de kɔ atɔe fam a nkurow a ɛbɛn Asdod ne wɔn nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia ka ho.
From Ekron even to the sea, all that [lay] near Ashdod, with their villages:
47 Saa ara na Asdod nkurow ne ne nkuraa, Gasa nkurow ne ne nkuraa kosi Misraim asuwa no, de kɔfa Po Kɛse no mpoano ka ho.
Ashdod, with her towns and her villages; Gaza, with her towns and her villages, to the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and its border:
48 Yuda san nyaa nkurow a edidi so yi a na ɛwɔ nkoko asase so: Samir ne Yatir ne Soko,
And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 Dana ne Kiriat-Sana a ɛne Debir,
And Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, which [is] Debir,
50 Anab ne Estemo ne Anim,
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 Gosen ne Holon ne Gilo, Saa nkurow yi ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodow yɛ dubaako.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleven cities with their villages:
52 Na saa nkurow yi ka ho: Arab ne Duma ne Esan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Yanum ne Bet-Tapua ne Afeka,
And Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humta ne Kiriat-Arba (a ɛyɛ Hebron) ne Sior. Nkurow akron ne ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
And Humtah, and Kirjath-arba (which [is] Hebron) and Zior; nine cities with their villages:
55 Nkurow a edidi so yi nso ka ho: Maon, Karmel, Sif ne Yuta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 Yesreel ne Yokdeam ne Sanoa,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kain, Gibea ne Timna, nkurow du ne ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:
58 Bio Halhul, Bet-Sur ne Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarat ne Bet-Anot ne Eltekon ka ho, nkurow asia ne ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:
60 Saa ara na Kiriat-Baal (a ɛne Kiriat-Yearim) ne Raba ka ho, nkurow abien ne ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
Kirjath-baal (which [is] Kirjath-jearim) and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:
61 Sare so nkurow no nso ne: Bet-Araba, Midin ne Sekaka,
In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibsan ne Nkyene kuropɔn no ne En-Gedi, nkurow asia ne ne nkuraa a atwa ho ahyia.
And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.
63 Na Yebusifo a wɔte Yerusalem no de, Yuda abusuakuw no antumi antu wɔn nti, Yebusifo ne Yuda abusuakuw no tenae de besi nnɛ.
As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not expel them: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
