< Yosua 15 >

1 Asase a wɔde maa mmusua a wobom yɛ Yuda abusuakuw no koduu Edom hye so wɔ anafo fam, na Sin sare so na ɛkɔpem.
So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
2 Anafo fam hye no fitii ase wɔ Nkyene Po no awiei a ɛwɔ anafo fam,
so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
3 sen faa Akrabbim kosii Sin sare so. Ɛtoaa so kɔɔ Kades-Barnea anafo fam kosii Hesron. Afei ɛkɔɔ soro kosii Adar na ɛpono kɔɔ Karka.
and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
4 Etwaa mu ha kɔɔ Asmon koduu Misraim asuwa no ho, na ɛfaa ho ara kowiee wɔ Po Kɛse no mu. Eyi ne wɔn anafo fam hye.
and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
5 Apuei fam hye no fi Nkyene Po no kodu Asubɔnten Yordan ano. Atifi fam hye no fi beae a Asubɔnten Yordan bɔ Nkyene Po no mu,
And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
6 twa mu kɔ Bet-Hogla, na afei akɔ Bet-Araba atifi fam, akɔka Bohan bo (Na Bohan yɛ Ruben babarima) no ho.
And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
7 Efi hɔ a, ɛkɔfa Akɔr bon no mu kɔka Debir, na ɛdan wɔ atifi fam kyerɛ Gilgal, a etwa mu fi Adumim nsian mu wɔ anafo fam wɔ obon no nkyɛn mu. Efi hɔ a, ɔhye no sen kosi En-Semes nsu no ano, na akɔpem En-Rogel.
and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
8 Afei, ɔhye no fa Hinom babarima bon no mu, kɔfa Yebusifo anafo nsian so, nea Yerusalem kuropɔn no da. Afei ɛkɔ atɔe fam wɔ bepɔw no apampam, toa so kɔ Hinom bon no so kosi Refaim bon ano wɔ atifi fam.
then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
9 Efi hɔ a, ɔhye no toa so kɔfa bepɔw no apampam kɔ Neftoa asuti no nsu ho, fi hɔ akɔ nkurow a ɛdeda Efron bepɔw so no. Na ebukaw kɔ Baala (a ɛyɛ Kiriat-Yearim.)
and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
10 Ɔhye no twa fa Baala ho wɔ atɔe fam kosi bepɔw Seir so, ɛkɔ ara kosi Kesalon kurom wɔ bepɔw Yearim atifi nsian so, na akɔ fam akosi Bet-Semes ne Timna.
then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
11 Ɔhye no kɔɔ ara kosii bepɔw no nsian a ɛwɔ Ekron atifi fam no, dan kyerɛɛ Sikron, faa hɔ kɔɔ Baala bepɔw no de koduu Yabneel. Ɔhye no kɔpem Po Kɛse no.
then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
12 Na atɔe fam hye no nso ne Ntam Po no mpoano. Eyinom ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Yuda mmusuakuw no ahye.
And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
13 Awurade hyɛɛ Yosua se ɔmfa Yuda asase no bi mma Yefune babarima Kaleb. Enti, wɔde kuropɔn Arba (a ɛyɛ Hebron) a wɔde too Anak tete agya no maa no.
And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
14 Na Kaleb tuu Sesai, Ahiman ne Talmai a wɔyɛ Anak asefo no fii hɔ.
And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 Afei, ɔko tiaa nnipa a na wɔte kurow Debir (a kan no na wɔfrɛ no Kiriat-Sefer) no.
And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
16 Kaleb kae se, “Mede me babea Aksa bɛma obi a ɔbɛtow ahyɛ Kiriat-Sefer kurow no so na wadi so no aware.”
Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
17 Ɛnna Kaleb nua Kenas babarima Otniel dii so nti, Aksa bɛyɛɛ Otniel yere.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
18 Aksa waree Otniel no, ɔhyɛɛ no sɛ ommisa nʼagya Kaleb na ɔmfa asase no bi nka ho. Aksa fii nʼafurum so sii fam no, Kaleb bisaa no se, “Dɛn na menyɛ mma wo?”
And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
19 Ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Yɛ me adom sononko. Woayɛ adom, ama me Asase wɔ Negeb; ma me nsuwansuwa asase nso.” Enti Kaleb maa no ɔsoro ne fam nsuwansuwa asase.
And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
