< Yohane 5 >

1 Eyi akyi no Yudafo afahyɛ bi nti Yesu san kɔɔ Yerusalem.
After these things there was (the *o*) feast of the Jews, and went up (*k*) Jesus to Jerusalem.
2 Na ɔtare bi wɔ kurow no mu a wɔfrɛ no Betseda a na ɛbɛn kurow no ano pon kɛse bi a wɔfrɛ no Nguan Pon no. Na wɔabɔ pata ahorow anum atwa ho ahyia.
There is now in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is being called in Hebrew (Bethzatha, *N(k)O*) five porches having.
3 Saa pata yi ase na na ayarefo pii sɛ, anifuraefo, mpakye ne mmubuafo wɔ retwɛn sɛ Awurade bɔfo fi ɔsoro bɛba abɛfono nsu no.
In these were lying a multitude (great *K*) of those ailing, blind, lame, paralyzed (waiting for of the water motion. *K*)
4 Nea ɛte ne sɛ, sɛ ɔbɔfo no fono nsu no wie a, ɔyarefo a obedi kan atɔ mu no nya ayaresa.
(an angel *KO*) (for on occasion was going down among those pool and was troubling the water; the [one] who therefore first was climbing in after the disturbance of the water healthy was becoming of that whatever he was posessed disease. *K*)
5 Na ɔbarima bi ayare ada ɔtare no ho mfe aduasa awotwe.
There was now a certain man there thirty (and *no*) eight years being in infirmity (himself. *no*)
6 Yesu huu sɛ wayare ada hɔ akyɛ no, obisaa no se, “Wopɛ sɛ wo ho tɔ wo ana?”
Him having seen Jesus lying, and having known that a long already time he has been, He says to him; Desire you well to become?
7 Ɔyarefo no buaa no se, “Me wura, sɛ ɔbɔfo no bɛfono nsu no a, minnya obi a ɔbɛma me so ato mu. Bere biara a mɛbɔ me ho mmɔden sɛ merekɔ mu no, obi di me kan.”
Answered Him the [one] ailing; Sir, a man not I have that when may be stirred the water (he may put *N(k)O*) me into the pool; in which now am going I myself, another before me descends.
8 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Sɔre! Bobɔw wo kɛtɛ na kɔ fie.”
Says to him Jesus; (do arise, *N(k)O*) do take up the mat of you and do walk.
9 Amono mu hɔ ara, ɔbarima no nyaa ahoɔden bobɔw ne kɛtɛ, fii ase nantewee. Na saa da no yɛ homeda.
And immediately became well the man and he took up the mat of him and was walking; It was now Sabbath on that [very] day.
10 Yudafo mpanyin huu ɔbarima no sɛ ɔso ne kɛtɛ no, wɔn bo fuw yiye. Wobisaa no se, “Wunnim sɛ nnɛ yɛ homeda na etia mmara sɛ wobɛsoa wo kɛtɛ ana?”
Were saying therefore the Jews to the [one] healed; Sabbath it is, (and *no*) not it is lawful for you to take up the mat (of you. *NK*)
11 Ɔbarima yi de ahopopo yii ne ho ano se, “Onipa a ɔsaa me yare no na ɔka kyerɛɛ me se mensoa me kɛtɛ na menkɔ.”
(The [man] *n(o)*) (however *no*) answered them; The [One] having made me well, that One to me said; do take up the mat of you and do walk.
12 Wɔtee saa no wobisaa no se, “Hena ne saa onipa no?”
They asked (therefore *KO*) him; Who is the man having said to you; do take up (the *ko*) (mat of you *KO*) and do walk?’
13 Nanso na nea wɔsaa no yare no nnim Yesu. Afei nso na Yesu afa nnipa no mu kɔ.
The [one] now having been healed not knew who it is; for Jesus moved away a crowd being in the place.
14 Akyiri no, Yesu hyiaa ɔbarima no wɔ asɔredan mu tuu no fo se, “Afei a wo ho atɔ wo yi, hwɛ yiye na woankɔyɛ bɔne bio amma biribi a ɛsen kan yare no amma wo so.”
After these things finds him Jesus in the temple and said to him; Behold well you have become; no more do sin that not worse to you something may happen.
15 Ɔbarima yi fii hɔ kɔka kyerɛɛ Yudafo mpanyin no se ɛyɛ Yesu na ɔsaa no yare no.
Went away the man and (told *NK(o)*) to the Jews that Jesus it is the [One] having made him well.
16 Yudafo mpanyin yi fii ase tan Yesu ani, efisɛ wabu wɔn homeda mmara no so.
And because of this were persecuting the Jews Jesus (and were seeking him to kill *K*) because these things He was doing on [the] Sabbath.
17 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mʼagya yɛ adwuma bere biara enti ɛsɛ sɛ me nso meyɛ adwuma bere biara.”
But Jesus answered them; The Father of Mine until now is working, and I myself and I myself am working.
18 Saa asɛm a Yesu kaa yi maa Yudafo mpanyin no bo fuwii, na wɔyɛɛ wɔn adwene se wobekum no, efisɛ na ɛnyɛ homeda mmara no nko na obu so na na ɔsan frɛ ne ho se Onyankopɔn Ba de kyerɛ sɛ, ɔne Onyankopɔn yɛ pɛ.
Because of this therefore [the] more were seeking Him the Jews to kill, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but also Father His own He was naming God equal Himself making to God.
19 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Ɔba no ntumi mfi ne pɛ mu nyɛ biribi, na mmom ɔyɛ nea ohu sɛ nʼAgya yɛ no bi.
Answered therefore Jesus and (was saying *N(k)O*) to them; Amen Amen I say to you; not is able the Son to do of Himself no [thing], (only *NK(o)*) unless anything He shall see the Father doing. whatever for maybe He shall do, these things also the Son likewise does.
20 Efisɛ Agya no dɔ Ɔba no na biribiara a Agya no yɛ no ɔma Ɔba no hu. Na Ɔba no bɛyɛ nnwuma akɛse a ɛsen saa ɔbarima yi ayaresa yi ama mo ho adwiriw mo.
For the Father loves the Son and all things shows to Him that He himself does, and greater than these He will show to Him works so that you yourselves may marvel.
21 Na sɛnea Agya no nyan awufo no, saa ara nso na Ɔba no nyan awufo a ɔpɛ sɛ onyan wɔn no.
Even as for the Father raises up the dead and gives life, thus also the Son to whom He wishes gives life.
22 Afei koraa mʼAgya mmu obiara atɛn. Ɔde saa atemmu tumi no ahyɛ Ɔba no nsa
Not for the Father does judge no [one], but judgment all has given to the Son,
23 sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a obiara bedi Ɔba no ni, sɛnea wodi Agya no ni no. Obiara a onni Ɔba no ni no nni Agya a ɔsomaa no no nso ni.
so that all may honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who not is honoring the Son not is honoring the Father the [One] having sent Him.
24 “Mereka nokware akyerɛ mo se: Obiara a otie me nsɛm na ogye nea ɔsomaa me no di no wɔ nkwa a enni awiei. Wɔremmu no atɛn, efisɛ wafi owu mu aba nkwa mu. (aiōnios g166)
Amen Amen I say to you that the [one] the word of Mine hearing and believing in the [One] having sent Me he has life eternal and into judgment not comes, but has passed out of death into life. (aiōnios g166)
25 Mereka nokware bio sɛ, bere bi reba, na mpo saa bere no anya aba a awufo bɛte Onyankopɔn Ba no nne, na wɔn a wɔte ne nne no benya nkwa.
Amen Amen I say to you that is coming an hour and now is when the dead (will hear *N(k)O*) the voice of the Son of God and those having heard (will live. *N(k)O*)
26 Sɛnea Agya no yɛ nkwamafo no, saa ara nso na wama ne Ba no tumi ama wayɛ nkwamafo.
As for the Father has life in Himself, so also to the Son He gave life to have in Himself,
27 Wama Ɔba no tumi a ɔde bu atɛn, efisɛ ɔno ne Onipa Ba no.
And authority He gave to Him (and *k*) judgment to carry out, because Son of Man He is.
28 “Mommma saa asɛm yi nnyɛ mo nwonwa, efisɛ bere bi reba a awufo a wɔwɔ wɔn nna mu mpo bɛte me nne,
Not do marvel at this, for is coming an hour in which all those in the tombs (will hear *N(k)O*) the voice of Him
29 na wɔasɔresɔre. Wɔn a wɔayɛ papa no benyan atena nkwa mu, na wɔn a wɔayɛ bɔne no nso, wɔabu wɔn fɔ.
and will come forth — those good having done to [the] resurrection of life, and those evil having done to [the] resurrection of judgment.
30 Merentumi mfi mʼankasa me tumi mu nyɛ biribiara; asɛm a Onyankopɔn aka akyerɛ me no so na migyina bu atɛn. Ɛno nti atɛn a mibu no yɛ nokware.
Not am able I myself to do of Myself no [thing]; even as I hear I judge, and the judgment of Mine just is, because not I seek the will of Me but the will of the [One who] having sent Me ([the] Father. *K*)
31 “Sɛ me ara midi me ho adanse a, mʼadansedi no nni mu.
If I myself shall bear witness concerning Myself, the testimony of Mine not is true;
32 Na obi wɔ hɔ a odi me ho adanse a minim sɛ nʼadanse a odi fa me ho no yɛ nokware.
Another it is who is bearing witness concerning Me, and I know that true is the testimony which he bears witness concerning Me.
33 “Moasoma nnipa akɔ Yohane nkyɛn na wadi adanse a ɛyɛ nokware.
You yourselves have sent unto John and he has borne witness to the truth;
34 Nnipa adansedi ho nhia me ansa na moahu onipa ko a meyɛ. Na mmom meka Yohane adanse a odii no kyerɛ mo sɛ nea ɛbɛyɛ na Onyankopɔn begye mo nkwa.
I myself now not from man the testimony receive but these things I say that you yourselves may be saved.
35 Yohane nsɛm a ɔkae yɛ kanea a wɔasɔ na ɛhyerɛn, na ɛmaa mo ani gyei.
He was the lamp which is burning and shining, you yourselves now were willing to rejoice for a season in the light of him.
36 “Me nnwuma a mʼAgya de ama me sɛ menyɛ no di me ho adanse sen Yohane.
I myself however have the testimony (greater than *N(k)O*) that of John; For the works that (has given *N(k)O*) Me the Father that I may complete them, same the works which (I myself *k*) I do, bear witness concerning Me that the Father Me has sent.
37 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ munhuu Agya no anim da, na montee ne nne nso da, nanso wadi me ho adanse.
And the [One] having sent Me [the] Father (Himself *N(k)O*) has borne witness concerning Me; Neither voice of Him at any time have You heard nor form of Him have you seen,
38 Na nʼasɛm no nso mommfa nsie mo tirim, efisɛ munnnye me a ɔsomaa me no nni.
And the word of Him not you have in you abiding for whom sent He, in Him you yourselves not believe.
39 Musua Kyerɛwsɛm no, efisɛ mugye di sɛ ɛno na ɛbɛma moanya nkwa a enni awiei. Nanso saa Kyerɛwsɛm koro no ara di me ho adanse! (aiōnios g166)
You diligently search the Scriptures, for you yourselves think in them life eternal to have; and these are they those bearing witness concerning Me, (aiōnios g166)
40 Eyi nyinaa akyi no, mommpɛ sɛ moba me nkyɛn na moanya nkwa!
and not you are willing to come to Me that life you may have.
41 “Menhwehwɛ nnipa anim anuonyam.
Glory from men not I take;
42 Minim nnipa ko a moyɛ. Minim sɛ munni Onyankopɔn ho dɔ.
but I have known you that the love of God not you have in yourselves.
43 Mebaa wɔ mʼAgya din mu nanso moannye me. Nanso sɛ obi ba wɔ ɔno ara ne din mu na ɔbɛyɛ nea ɔpɛ a, ɛno de, mugye no.
I myself have come in the name of the Father of Mine, and not you receive Me; if another shall come in the name the own, him you will receive.
44 Mopɛ sɛ nnipa kamfo mo mmom sen sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛkamfo mo. Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na moagye me adi?
How are able you yourselves to believe glory from one another receiving and the glory that [is] from the only God not you seek?
45 “Ɛnyɛ me na mɛka asɛm bi atia mo wɔ Agya no anim, na mmom ɛyɛ Mose a mode mo ani too ne mmara so se ɛno na monam so bɛkɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni mu no.
Not do think that I myself will accuse you to the Father; There is [one] accusing you Moses in whom you yourselves have hoped.
46 Sɛ mugyee Mose dii a anka me nso mubegye me adi, efisɛ nsɛm a ɔkyerɛw no di me ho adanse.
If for you were believing in Moses, you were believing then would in Me myself; concerning for Me he wrote.
47 Na esiane sɛ moannye nsɛm a ɔkyerɛw no anni no nti, ɛnyɛ nwonwa sɛ munnye me nni.”
If now in his writings not you believe, how in My declarations will you believe?
