< Yohane 4 >

1 Yesu huu se Farisifo no ate sɛ nnipa pii reba ne nkyɛn ama wabɔ wɔn asu sen sɛnea nnipa kɔ Yohane nkyɛn,
Therefore when Yeshua knew that the Pharisees had heard, "Yeshua is making and baptizing more disciples than Yukhanan"
2 a na ɛnyɛ Yesu ankasa na ɔbɔ asu no, na mmom nʼasuafo no na wɔbɔ asu.
(although Yeshua himself did not baptize, but his disciples),
3 Enti ofii Yudea san kɔɔ Galilea.
he left Yehuda, and departed again into Galila.
4 Ɔrekɔ no na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔfa Samaria.
He needed to pass through Samaria.
5 Ɛbɛyɛ sɛ owigyinae no, na Yesu abɛn Samaria kurow bi a wɔfrɛ no Sikar a ɛbɛn asase bi a Yakob de maa ne ba Yosef no ho.
So he came to a city of Samaria, called Shekar, near the parcel of ground that Yaquv gave to his son, Yauseph.
6 Ɛhɔ na na Yakob abura wɔ. Esiane ɔbrɛ a na Yesu abrɛ nti, ɔtenaa abura no ho sɛ ɔregye nʼahome. Na saa bere no bɛyɛ awia nnɔndumien.
Yaquv's well was there. Yeshua therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 Ankyɛ na Samarianibea bi baa hɔ bɛtow nsu maa Yesu srɛɛ no sɛ, “Ma me nsu no bi nnom.”
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Yeshua said to her, "Give me a drink."
8 Saa bere no na Yesu asuafo no kɔ kurow no mu akɔtɔ aduan.
For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
9 Samarianibea no ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Ɛyɛ me nwonwa sɛ wo a woyɛ Yudani rebisa nsu afi me a meyɛ Samariani nkyɛn.” Na Yudafo ne Samariafo nni hwee yɛ.
The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, "How can you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 Yesu buaa no se, “Sɛ wunim akyɛde a Onyankopɔn de ma onipa anaa onipa ko a ɔresrɛ wo nsu yi a anka wobɛsrɛ no na wama wo nkwa nsu.”
Yeshua answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
11 Ɔbea no bisae se, “Owura, wunni hama, nni bokiti; abura yi mu nso dɔ yiye, na ɛhe na wubenya saa nkwa nsu no afi?
The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where do you get that living water?
12 Woyɛ ɔkɛse sen yɛn agya Yakob a otuu abura yi maa yɛn na ɔne ne mma, ne nguan ne nʼanantwi nom mu nsu bi no ana?”
Are you greater than our father, Yaquv, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?"
13 Yesu buaa no se, “Obiara a ɔnom saa nsu yi bi no, osukɔm de no bio,
Yeshua answered her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 nanso nea ɔbɛnom nsu a mede bɛma no no, osukɔm renne no bio da. Nsu a mede bɛma no no bɛyɛ sɛ asuti a ɛrenyow da wɔ ne mu, na ɛbɛma no nkwa a ɛrensa da.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to everlasting life." (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Ɔbea no srɛɛ no se, “Owura, ma me saa nkwa nsu yi bi na osukɔm anne me bio, na daa mantwa kwan ammɛtow nsu.”
The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I do not get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw."
16 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kɔfrɛ wo kunu na wo ne no mmra.”
He said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
17 Ɔbea no buaa no se, “Me wura, minni kunu.” Yesu nso kae se, “Asɛm a woaka no yɛ nokware, sɛ wunni kunu no.
The woman answered and said to him, "I have no husband." Yeshua said to her, "You said well, 'I have no husband,'
18 Woaware mmarima baanum agyae na ɔbarima a wo ne no wɔ hɔ mprempren no nyɛ wo kunu mpo.”
for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly."
19 Ɔbea no kae se, “Owura, mihu sɛ woyɛ odiyifo.
The woman said to him, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
20 Yɛn agyanom Samariafo som Onyankopɔn wɔ saa bepɔw yi so, nanso mo Yudafo de, moka se Yerusalem nko ara na ɛsɛ sɛ yɛsom Nyankopɔn.”
Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Urishlim is the place where people ought to worship."
21 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Merema woate ase sɛ bere bi bɛba a nnipa rensom Agya no wɔ saa bepɔw yi so anaa Yerusalem.”
Yeshua said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when neither in this mountain, nor in Urishlim, will you worship the Father.
22 Mo Samariafo nnim nea mosom no. Nanso yɛn Yudafo de, yenim nea yɛsom no, efisɛ Yudafo so na nkwagye nam ba.
You worship that which you do not know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Nna bi reba, na mpo aba dedaw, sɛ nokware asomfo bɛsɔre Agya no wɔ Honhom ne nokware mu. Eyinom ne asomfo a Agya no hwehwɛ.
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.
24 Onyankopɔn yɛ Honhom, na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔsom no no som no wɔ Honhom ne nokware mu.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
25 Ɔbea no ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Minim sɛ Agyenkwa no a wɔfrɛ no Kristo no bɛba, na sɛ ɔba a ɔbɛkyerɛkyerɛ yɛn biribiara mu.”
The woman said to him, "I know that Meshikha comes," (he who is called Meshikha). "When he has come, he will declare to us all things."
26 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Me a me ne wo rekasa yi, mene Kristo no.”
Yeshua said to her, "I am he, the one who speaks to you."
27 Yesu ano sii pɛ na nʼasuafo no san bae. Ɛyɛɛ asuafo no nwonwa sɛ wɔbɛtoo Yesu sɛ ɔne ɔbea bi redi nkɔmmɔ. Nanso wɔn mu biara ammisa ɔbea no nea ɔrehwehwɛ ne Yesu nso, nea enti a ɔne saa ɔbea no redi nkɔmmɔ no.
At this, his disciples came. They were surprised that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, "What are you looking for?" or, "Why do you speak with her?"
28 Afei ɔbea yi gyaw nʼasuhina no hɔ san kɔɔ kurow no mu kɔka kyerɛɛ kurom hɔfo se,
So the woman left her water pot, and went away into the city, and said to the people,
29 “Mommra mmɛhwɛ ɔbarima bi a waka kokoa mu nneɛma a mayɛ akyerɛ me! Anaa ɔno ne Agyenkwa no?”
"Come, see a man who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Meshikha?"
30 Nnipa a wɔtee asɛm yi nyinaa bɔɔ twi kɔhwɛɛ Yesu.
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
31 Afei asuafo no ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, didi.”
In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."
32 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mewɔ aduan a midi a munnim ho hwee.”
But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about."
33 Ɛmaa asuafo no bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Obi abrɛ no aduan bi ana?”
The disciples therefore said one to another, "Has anyone brought him something to eat?"
34 Yesu buae se, “Mʼaduan ne sɛ meyɛ nea ɔsomaa me no apɛde, na miwie dwuma a ɔde maa me sɛ mimmedi no.
Yeshua said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
35 Moka se, ‘Asram anan mu, otwabere bedu.’ Mummue mo ani nhwɛ mo ho nhyia, na muhu sɛ aburow awo a ɛkyerɛ sɛ, otwabere adu!
Do you not say, 'There are yet four months until the harvest?' Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
36 Otwafo nya nʼakatua a ɛsɛ no, na ɔboaboa nea watwa no ano ma nkwa a ɛnsa da. Eyi ma nea odua ne nea otwa no nyinaa ani gye. (aiōnios g166)
He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit to everlasting life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Ɛyɛ nokware pefee sɛ, ‘Obi dua na obi twa.’
For in this the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.'
38 Mesomaa mo kɔɔ baabi sɛ munkotwa nea monyɛe ho adwuma ɛ. Nnipa afoforo na wɔayɛ adwumaden, na mo de, moanya mfaso afi adwuma a wɔayɛ no mu.”
I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."
39 Esiane adanse a Samarianibea no di faa Yesu ho se, “Waka biribiara a mayɛ akyerɛ me” no nti, kurow no mu hɔfo pii gyee Yesu dii sɛ ɔno ne Mesaia no.
From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, "He told me everything that I did."
40 Enti bere a Samariafo no baa Yesu nkyɛn no, wɔsrɛɛ no sɛ ɔntena wɔn nkyɛn. Ɔpenee so dii nnaanu wɔ wɔn nkyɛn.
So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
41 Ne nsɛm no nti nnipa bebree gyee no dii.
Many more believed because of his word.
42 Nnipa a wogyee no dii no ka kyerɛɛ ɔbea no se, “Ɛnyɛ adanse a wubedii no nti na yegye no di, na mmom nsɛm a yɛate sɛ ɔka no nti na yɛagye no adi. Na yenim sɛ ɔno ne wiase Agyenkwa no.”
They said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Savior of the world."
43 Nnaanu akyi no, Yesu fii kurow no mu kɔɔ Galilea.
After the two days he departed from there to Galila.
44 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ na Yesu aka se, “Odiyifo biara nni anuonyam wɔ ne man mu” de, nanso
For Yeshua himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
45 esiane nea Galileafo a wɔwɔ Yerusalem wɔ Twam Afahyɛ bere no mu no huu nea Yesu yɛe no nti, oduu Galilea no wogyee no.
So when he came into Galila, the Galilaye received him, having seen all the things that he did in Urishlim at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46 Ɔsan kɔɔ Kana a ɛwɔ Galilea, faako a ɔmaa nsu dan nsa hɔ no bio. Yesu wɔ hɔ no ɔhene somfo panyin bi a na ne ba yare wɔ Kapernaum no
Yeshua came therefore again to Qatne of Galila, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Kepharnakhum.
47 tee ne nka sɛ ofi Yudea aba Galilea hɔ. Saa ɔbarima yi kɔɔ Kana kohuu Yesu, srɛɛ no se ɔne no nkɔ Kapernaum nkɔsa ne ba a na ɔyare a ɔreyɛ awu no yare mma no.
When he heard that Yeshua had come out of Yehuda into Galila, he went to him, and pleaded with him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was close to death.
48 Yesu kae se, “Menyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne nkyerɛ mo ansa na moagye me adi ana?”
Yeshua therefore said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe."
49 Ɔsomfo panyin no de ahoyeraw ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Owura, mesrɛ wo, ma yɛnkɔ ntɛm, anyɛ saa a me ba no bewu.”
The nobleman said to him, "Sir, come down before my child dies."
50 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kɔ fie na wo ba no ho ayɛ no den!” Ɔsomfo panyin no gyee asɛm a Yesu kae no dii na osii mu sɛ ɔrekɔ fie.
Yeshua said to him, "Go your way. Your son lives." The man believed the word that Yeshua spoke to him, and he went his way.
51 Ɔnam kwan so no, nʼasomfo bi behyiaa no ka kyerɛɛ no se ne ba no ho atɔ no.
As he was now going down, his servants met him, saying that his son was alive.
52 Ɔbarima no bisaa nʼasomfo no se, “Bere bɛn na ne ho tɔɔ no?” Asomfo no buaa no se, “Nnɛra awia bɛyɛ dɔnkoro bere mu na atiridiinini a na abɔ no no gyaee.”
So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, "Yesterday at one in the afternoon, the fever left him."
53 Ɔbarima no tee asɛm no pɛ na ɔkaa se ɛyɛ saa bere koro no ara mu na Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kɔ fie na wo ba no ho atɔ no” no. Eyi maa ɔbarima no ne ne fifo nyinaa gyee Yesu dii.
So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Yeshua said to him, "Your son lives." He believed, as did his whole house.
54 Eyi ne nsɛnkyerɛnne a ɛto so abien a Yesu fii Yudea baa Galilea no ɔyɛe.
This is again the second sign that Yeshua did, having come out of Yehuda into Galila.
