< Yohane 19 >
1 Pilato ma wɔbɔɔ Yesu mmaa.
At that time therefore took Pilate Jesus and flogged [Him].
2 Asraafo no de nsɔe nwenee ahenkyɛw hyɛɛ Yesu; afei, wɔde atade kɔkɔɔ nso hyɛɛ no.
And the soldiers having twisted together a crown of thorns put [it] of Him on the head and a robe purple cast around Him
3 Wodii ne ho fɛw, bobɔɔ nʼani so kae se, “Yudafo hene, wo nkwa so!”
(and they were coming up to Him *NO*) and were saying; Hail! O King of the Jews! And they were giving to Him blows with the palm.
4 Pilato fii adi kɔka kyerɛɛ dɔm no bio se, “Mɛsan de no abrɛ mo ama moahu sɛ minni asɛm biara a megyina so abu no fɔ.”
(And *no*) went forth (therefore *K*) again outside Pilate and he says to them; Behold I bring to you Him out, so that you may know that no [thing] guilt I find in Him.
5 Bere a Yesu fii adi bae no, na ɔhyɛ ahenkyɛw a wɔde nsɔe anwen ne atade kɔkɔɔ. Pilato ka kyerɛɛ dɔm no se, “Onipa no ni!”
Went forth therefore Jesus outside wearing the thorny crown and the purple robe. And he says to them; (behold *N(k)O*) the man!
6 Bere a asɔfo mpanyin ne mpanyimfo no huu Yesu no, wɔteɛteɛɛ mu se, “Bɔ no asennua mu! Bɔ no asennua mu!” Pilato ka kyerɛ wɔn se, “Mo ankasa momfa no nkɔ nkɔbɔ no asennua mu, efisɛ minni asɛm biara a megyina so abu no fɔ.”
When therefore saw Him the chief priests and the officers, they cried out saying; do crucify do crucify (him. *k*) Says to them Pilate; do take Him yourselves and do crucify [him]; I myself for no find in Him guilt.
7 Yudafo no buae se, “Yɛwɔ mmara a ɛkyerɛ sɛ ɛsɛ sɛ owu, efisɛ ɔkae se ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Ba.”
Answered to him the Jews; We ourselves a law have, and according to the law (of us *k*) He ought to die, because [the] Son of God Himself He made.
8 Bere a Pilato tee asɛm a wɔkae no, ɔbɔɔ hu yiye.
When therefore heard Pilate this word [the] more he was afraid
9 Ɔsan kɔɔ ahemfi hɔ kobisaa Yesu se, “Ɛhe na wufi?” Nanso Yesu ammua no.
And he went into the Praetorium again and he says to Jesus; From where are You yourself? But Jesus an answer not did give to him.
10 Pilato bisaa no se, “Woremmua me ana? Ɛsɛ sɛ wuhu sɛ mewɔ tumi sɛ migyaa wo na mewɔ tumi nso sɛ mema wɔbɔ wo asennua mu!”
Says therefore to Him Pilate; To me myself not speak You? Surely You know that authority I have to release You and authority I have to crucify You?
11 Yesu buaa no se, “Sɛ Onyankopɔn amfa saa tumi no amma wo a anka wunni me so tumi biara. Enti onipa a ɔde me brɛɛ wo no na wayɛ bɔne a ɛso.”
Answered (to him *N(K)O*) Jesus; Not you were having authority against Me none, only unless it were given to you from above; Because of this the [one] (having betrayed *N(k)O*) Me to you greater sin has.
12 Bere a Pilato tee asɛm a Yesu kae no, ɔhwehwɛɛ ɔkwan bi a ɔbɛfa so agyaa no. Nanso Yudafo no teɛteɛɛ mu se, “Sɛ wugyaa no a na wonyɛ Kaesare adamfo! Obiara a ɔyɛ ne ho ɔhene no tia Kaesare!”
Out of this Pilate was seeking to release Him. but the Jews (cried out *N(k)O*) saying; If this [man] you shall release, not you are a friend of Caesar. Everyone a king (himself *N(k)O*) making speaks against Caesar.
13 Bere a Pilato tee asɛm a Yudafo no kae no, ɔde Yesu fii adi na ɔbɛtenaa nʼatemmu agua so wɔ faako a wɔfrɛ hɔ Abo Nsɛmee, (a Hebri kasa mu no, ɛyɛ “Gabata”).
Therefore Pilate having heard (words these *N(k)O*) brought out Jesus and sat down upon (of the *k*) judgment seat at a place being named [the] Stone Pavement, in Hebrew now Gabbatha.
14 Ade rebɛkye ama Twam Afahyɛ no adu so no, ɛbɛyɛ owigyinae no. Pilato ka kyerɛɛ Yudafo no se, “Mo hene no ni!”
It was now [the] Day of Preparation of the Passover, [the] hour (was about *N(k)O*) [the] sixth. And he says to the Jews; Behold the king of you!
15 Dɔm no nso teɛteɛɛ mu bio se, “Fa no kɔ! Bɔ no asennua mu!” Pilato bisaa wɔn se, “Mopɛ sɛ mebɔ mo hene no asennua mu ana?” Asɔfo mpanyin no kae se, “Yɛn hene a yɛwɔ ara ne Kaesare!”
(now *k*) They cried out (therefore *NO*) (concerning Him: *no*) away away! do crucify Him! Says to them Pilate; The King of you shall I crucify? Answered the chief priests; Not we have a king only except Caesar.
16 Afei Pilato de Yesu maa Yudafo no sɛ wɔnkɔbɔ no asennua mu.
Then therefore he delivered Him to them that He may be crucified. They took (therefore *N(K)O*) Jesus (and *K*) (they led [him] away; *K(o)*)
17 Enti wɔde Yesu a nʼasennua da ne kɔn ho no kɔɔ kurow no mfikyiri baabi a wɔfrɛ hɔ “Nitiri So”, a Hebri kasa mu ɛyɛ “Golgota”.
And bearing (His own *N(k)O*) cross He went out to (the [place] *NK(o)*) being named of the Skull Place, (which *N(k)O*) is named in Hebrew Golgotha,
where Him they crucified and with Him others two on this side and on that side, in between now Jesus.
19 Pilato kyerɛw se, Yesu Nasareni, Yudafo Hene de taree nʼasennua no atifi.
Wrote then also a title Pilate and put [it] on the cross. It was now written: Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews.
20 Esiane sɛ faako a wɔbɔɔ Yesu asennua mu ne kurow no mu kwan nware, na bio wɔakyerɛw nsɛm no wɔ Hebri, Roma ne Hela kasa mu no nti, nnipa bebree hu kenkanee.
This therefore the title many read of the Jews, for near was the place of the city where was crucified Jesus; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, in Greek.
Were saying therefore to Pilate the chief priests of the Jews; Not do write; The King of the Jews, but for He said; King I am of the Jews.
22 Pilato kae se, “Nea makyerɛw no, makyerɛw.”
Answered Pilate; What I have written, I have written.
23 Asraafo no bɔɔ Yesu asennua mu wiei no, wɔkyɛɛ ne ntade mu maa asraafo baanan no. Na saa atade no yɛ atade bi a wɔanwen fi ne soro kosi ne fam a enni mpamee.
The then soldiers, when they crucified Jesus, took the garments of Him and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Was now the tunic seamless, from the top woven throughout all.
24 Asraafo no nyinaa kae se, “Mommma yɛnntetew mu. Momma yɛmmɔ so ntonto na yenhu onipa a obenya.” Ade a wɔyɛɛ yi sii, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Kyerɛwsɛm a ɛka se, “Wɔkyekyɛɛ me ntama mu, bɔɔ mʼatade so ntonto fae” no bɛba mu. Nea asraafo no yɛe ne no.
They said therefore to one another; Not let us tear up it, but let us cast lots for it whose it will be; that the Scripture may be fulfilled what is being spoken: They divided the garments of Mine among themselves and for the clothing of Mine they cast a lot. The indeed therefore soldiers these things did,
25 Nnipa a na wogyina Yesu asennua no ho pɛɛ no ne ne na, ne na nuabea, Maria a ɔyɛ Kleopa yere ne Maria Magdalene.
Had been standing however by the cross of Jesus the mother of Him and the sister of the mother of Him, Mary the [wife] of Clopas and Mary Magdalene.
26 Yesu huu ne na ne osuani a ɔdɔ no no sɛ wogyina hɔ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ ne na se, “Ɔbea, wo ba ni.”
Jesus therefore having seen [His] mother and the disciple already standing by whom He was loving says to the mother (of him: *k*) Woman, (behold *N(k)O*) the son of you.
27 Afei ɔka kyerɛɛ osuani no se, “Wo na ni.” Efi saa bere no, osuani no faa no ne no kɔtenae.
Then He says to the disciple; (behold *N(k)O*) the mother of you. And from that [very] hour took the disciple her to [his] own.
28 Saa bere no Yesu huu sɛ afei de, biribiara aba nʼawie, na sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Kyerɛwsɛm no bɛba mu no nti, ɔkae se, “Osukɔm de me.”
After this (knowing *NK(o)*) Jesus that now all things has been accomplished, so that may be fulfilled the Scripture, He says; I thirst.
29 Wɔde sapɔw a etua adwerɛ ano bɔɔ nsa a emu keka mu de kaa nʼano.
A vessel (therefore *K*) was set [there] of sour wine full. a sponge (therefore full of the *N(K)O*) sour wine (and *k*) on a hyssop stalk having put they brought it to the mouth.
30 Yesu nom wiei no, ɔkae se, “Mawie!” Ɔkaa eyi wiee no, osii ne ti ase na ogyaa ne honhom mu.
When then took the sour wine Jesus He said; It has been finished. And having bowed the head He yielded up the spirit.
31 Na da no yɛ ahosiesie da, na Yudafo mpanyimfo no mpɛ sɛ wɔma amu no sensɛn asennua no so kosi nʼadekyee a wobedi Twam Afahyɛ no. Enti wɔkɔka kyerɛɛ Pilato se wɔpɛ sɛ wobubu nnipa no anan sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wobetumi ayiyi wɔn amu no afi asennua no so.
Therefore the Jews, since [the] Preparation was, so that not may remain on the cross the bodies on the Sabbath — was for a high day of that Sabbath — asked Pilate that may be broken their legs and they may be taken away.
32 Asraafo no kobubuu ɔbarima a odi kan a ɔka nnipa baanu a wɔbɔɔ wɔne Yesu asennua mu ho no anan; wowiei no, wokobubuu ɔbarima a ɔto so abien no nso anan.
Came therefore the soldiers and of the indeed first broke the legs and of the other which having been crucified with Him.
33 Nanso woduu Yesu so no wohuu sɛ ɔno de, na wawu dedaw enti wɔammu ne nan bi.
to however Jesus having come, when they saw already Him having been dead, not they did break His legs,
34 Asraafo no mu baako de ne peaw wɔɔ ne mfe maa mogyasufi fii ne mfe mu bae.
But one of the soldiers with a spear of His side pierced, and came out immediately blood and water.
35 Onipa a ohuu nea esii no na wadi ho adanse. Nʼadanse no yɛ nokware, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mo nso mubegye adi.
And the [one] having seen has borne witness and true of him is the testimony And He knows that truth he is speaking, that (also *no*) you yourselves (may believe. *NK(o)*)
36 Eyinom nyinaa sii sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Kyerɛwsɛm a ɛka se, “Wɔremmu ne dompe bi”
Took place for these things so that the Scripture may be fulfilled: Bone not one will be broken (from *o*) of Him.
37 ne “Nnipa bɛhwɛ nea wɔwɔɔ ne mfe mu peaw” no bɛba mu.
And again another Scripture says: They will behold on the [One] they have pierced.
38 Eyi akyi no, Yosef a ofi Arimatea a esiane Yudafo ho hu nti, na ɔyɛ Yesu suani wɔ kokoa mu no kɔsrɛɛ Pilato sɛ ɔmma no kwan na onkoyi Yesu amu no. Pilato penee nʼadesrɛ no so. Ɛno nti okoyii Yesu amu no.
After then these things asked Pilate (*k*) Joseph from Arimathea being a disciple of Jesus — concealed however through the fear of the Jews — that he may take away the body of Jesus. and gave permission Pilate. He came therefore and he took away the body (of Him. *N(K)O*)
39 Nikodemo a da bi anadwo ɔkɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn no nso de kurobow ne aduhuam mfrafrae a emu duru bɛyɛ kilogram aduasa abiɛsa bae.
Came now also Nicodemus the [one] having come to (*k*) (Him *N(K)O*) by night at the first bearing (a mixture *NK(O)*) of myrrh and aloes (about *N(k)O*) litras a hundred.
40 Wɔn baanu no de nwera ne aduhuam mfrafrae no kyekyeree Yesu amu no sɛnea Yudafo kwan a wɔfa so sie wɔn amu no te no.
They took therefore the body of Jesus and bound it (in *o*) in linen cloths with the spices, even as [the] custom is among the Jews to prepare for burial.
41 Na ɔboda foforo bi a wonsiee obi wɔ mu da wɔ turo bi a ɛbɛn baabi a wɔbɔɔ Yesu asennua mu no.
There was now in the place where He was crucified a garden and in the garden a tomb new in which not yet no [one] (was *no*) ([already] laid. *N(k)O*)
42 Esiane sɛ na saa ɔboda no bɛn no nti, wosiee Yesu amu no wɔ hɔ.
There therefore on account of the Preparation of the Jews, because near was the tomb, they laid Jesus.
