< Yohane 16 >
1 “Mereka eyinom nyinaa akyerɛ mo na moatumi agyina pintinn.
"I have said all these things to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.
2 Wɔbɛpam mo afi wɔn asɔredan mu. Na bere bi bɛba a obiara a obekum mo no besusuw sɛ, sɛ ɔyɛ saa a na ɔresom Onyankopɔn.
They will put you out of the synagogues, but an hour is coming when whoever kills you will think that he is offering a service to God.
3 Wɔde saa nneɛma yi bɛyɛ mo, efisɛ wonnim Agya no na me nso wonnim me.
They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.
4 Nanso mereka eyi akyerɛ mo, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a sɛ bere no du a, mobɛkae nea meka kyerɛɛ mo no. Mfiase no manka eyi ankyerɛ mo, efisɛ na meka mo ho.”
But I have told you these things, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 “Afei de, merekɔ nea ɔsomaa me no nkyɛn. Nanso mo mu biara mmisaa me se, ‘Ɛhe na worekɔ?’
But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'
6 Nea maka akyerɛ mo yi ama mo werɛ ahow.
But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 Nanso meka nokware kyerɛ mo; eye ma mo sɛ mɛkɔ, efisɛ sɛ mankɔ a ɔboafo no remma mo nkyɛn, nanso sɛ mekɔ a mɛsoma no aba mo nkyɛn.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper won't come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
8 Na sɛ ɔba a, ɔbɛma wiasefo ahu wɔn bɔne ne nea ɛyɛ trenee ne Onyankopɔn atemmu.
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, and about righteousness, and about judgment;
9 Nea wɔka fa bɔne ho no nyɛ nokware, efisɛ wonnye me nni.
about sin, because they do not believe in me;
10 Nea wɔka fa trenee ho no nyɛ nokware, efisɛ merekɔ Agya no nkyɛn na morenhu me bio.
about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you won't see me any more;
11 Saa ara na nea wɔka fa atemmu ho no nso nyɛ nokware, efisɛ wɔabu wiase yi temmufo no atɛn dedaw.
about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
12 “Mewɔ nsɛm pii ka kyerɛ mo, nanso mprempren de, morentumi nte ase.
"I have yet many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 Sɛ nokware Honhom no ba a, ɔbɛma moahu nokware no nyinaa. Ɔrenkasa mma ne ho, na mmom nea ɔte no na ɔbɛka, na ɔbɛka nneɛma a ɛbɛba no ho nsɛm akyerɛ mo.
However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak on his own; but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you things that are coming.
14 Ɔbɛhyɛ me anuonyam, efisɛ obetie asɛm biara a meka no na wabɛka akyerɛ mo.
He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.
15 Biribiara a mʼAgya wɔ no yɛ me dea. Ɛno nti na mekae se Honhom no betie biribiara a meka kyerɛ no na wabɛka akyerɛ mo no.”
All things that the Father has are mine; that is why I said that he takes of mine, and will declare it to you.
16 “Aka kakraa bi morenhu me, nanso ɛno akyi no ɛrenkyɛ koraa, mubehu me bio.”
A little while, and you will no longer see me. Again a little while, and you will see me."
17 Asuafo no bi bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Eyi ase ne dɛn? Ɔreka akyerɛ yɛn se, ‘Aka kakraa bi morenhu me nanso ɛno akyi no, ɛrenkyɛ koraa na moasan ahu me.’ Ɔsan kaa bio se, ‘Efisɛ merekɔ Agya no nkyɛn.’”
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, "What is this that he says to us, 'A little while, and you won't see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;' and, 'Because I go to the Father?'"
18 Wɔsan bisaa bio se, “Saa asɛm, ‘aka kakra’ yi ase ne dɛn? Yɛnte nea ɔreka yi ase.”
So they kept asking, "What is this that he says, 'A little while?' We do not know what he is saying."
19 Yesu huu sɛ wɔpɛ sɛ wobisa no asɛm a ɔkae no ase no nti ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mekae se, ‘aka kakraa bi morenhu me, nanso ɛno akyi no, ɛrenkyɛ koraa mubehu me bio.’ Eyi ne asɛm a monte ase a enti morebisabisa mo ho mo ho yi?
Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, "Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, 'A little while, and you won't see me, and again a little while, and you will see me?'
20 Mereka nokware akyerɛ mo; mo werɛ bɛhow na moasu, nanso wiasefo ani begye. Mubedi awerɛhow nanso mo awerɛhow no bɛdan anigye.
Truly, truly, I tell you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
21 Sɛ ɔbea rebɛwo a, ne werɛ how, efisɛ nʼamanehunu bere adu so, nanso sɛ onya wo a ne werɛ fi ne yaw, efisɛ nʼani gye sɛ wawo onipa aba wiase.
A woman, when she gives birth, has pain, because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she does not remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
22 Saa ara na ɛte wɔ mo ho. Mprempren yɛ mo awerɛhow bere, nanso mehu mo bio ama mo ani agye na obi rentumi nnye saa anigye no mfi mo nsam.
Therefore you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
23 Sɛ saa da no du a moremmisa me biribiara. Mereka nokware akyerɛ mo, Agya no de biribiara a mode me din bebisa no bɛma mo.
"And in that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
24 Ebesi saa bere yi momfaa me din mmisaa biribiara da. Mummisa na wɔde bɛma mo na mo anigye awie pɛyɛ.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
25 “Menam mmebu mu na maka eyinom akyerɛ mo. Nanso bere bi bɛba a merenkasa wɔ mmebu mu bio, na mmom mɛka biribiara a ɛfa Agya no ho no pefee akyerɛ mo.
I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
26 Sɛ saa da no du a mode me din bebisa no biribiara a ɛho hia mo. Menka se me na mebisa Agya no ama mo,
In that day you will ask in my name, and I am not saying to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf,
27 efisɛ Agya no ankasa dɔ mo. Ɔdɔ mo, efisɛ modɔ me na moagye adi sɛ mifi Onyankopɔn nkyɛn na mebae.
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
28 Mifi Agya no nkyɛn na mebaa wiase; na afei merefi wiase akɔ Agya no nkyɛn.”
I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
29 Nʼasuafo no ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Afei de, wokasa pefee ma yɛte wo ase.
His disciples said to him, "Look, now you are speaking plainly and not in any figure of speech.
30 Yɛahu sɛ wunim biribiara; ɛho nhia sɛ obi bisa wo nsɛm. Eyi ama yɛagye adi sɛ wufi Onyankopɔn nkyɛn.”
Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came forth from God."
31 Yesu buaa wɔn se. “Afei de, mugye di ana?
Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?
32 Bere bi rebedu; na mpo adu dedaw a mo nyinaa bɛbɔ ahwete na obiara akɔ nʼankasa fi na aka me nko. Nanso ɛrenka me nko efisɛ Agya no ka me ho.
Look, the time is coming, and has come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 “Maka eyinom akyerɛ mo na moanya asomdwoe wɔ me mu. Mubehu amane wɔ wiase. Nanso munnyina pintinn! Madi wiase so nkonim!”
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up. I have overcome the world."
