< Hiob 36 >
1 Elihu toaa ne kasa so se,
Elihu also proceeded, and said:
2 “Montɔ mo bo ase kakra mma me, na mɛkyerɛ mo sɛ aka bebree a ɛsɛ sɛ yɛka ma Onyankopɔn.
Bear with me a little while, that I may show thee! For I have yet words in behalf of God.
3 Minya me nimdeɛ fi akyirikyiri; mɛka se me Yɛfo bu atɛntrenee.
I will bring my knowledge from afar, And assert the justice of my Maker.
4 Munnye nto mu sɛ me nsɛm yɛ nokware turodoo; na meyɛ obi a ne nimdeɛ so wɔ mo mu.
Truly my words shall not be false: A man of sound knowledge is before thee.
5 “Onyankopɔn so, nanso, ontwiri nnipa; ɔkorɔn na osi pi wɔ ne botae mu.
Behold, God is great, but despiseth not any; Great is he in strength of understanding.
He suffereth not the wicked to prosper, But rendereth justice to the oppressed.
7 Onnyi nʼani mfi ɔtreneeni so, ɔma wɔne ahemfo di ade na ɔma wɔn so afebɔɔ.
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous; But establisheth them for ever with kings on the throne, That they may be exalted.
And if they be bound in fetters, And holden in the cords of affliction,
9 ɔka nea wɔayɛ kyerɛ wɔn sɛ wɔnam ahantan so ayɛ bɔne.
Then showeth he them their deeds, And how they have set him at defiance by their transgressions;
10 Ɔma wotie nteɛso na ɔhyɛ wɔn sɛ wonnu wɔn ho wɔ wɔn bɔne ho.
He also openeth their ears to admonition, And commandeth them to return from iniquity.
11 Sɛ wɔyɛ osetie na wɔsom no a, wobedi yiye wɔ wɔn nna a aka no mu na wɔn mfe nyinaa ayɛ anisɔ ama wɔn.
If they obey and serve him, They spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.
12 Na sɛ wɔantie no a, wɔbɛyera wɔ afoa ano, na wɔawuwu a wonni nimdeɛ.
But if they obey not, they perish by the sword; They die in their own folly.
13 “Wɔn a wonnim Nyame no kora abufuw so; mpo sɛ ogu wɔn nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn a wonsu mpɛ mmoa.
The corrupt in heart treasure up wrath; They cry not to God, when he bindeth them.
14 Wowuwu wɔ wɔn mmabunmmere mu, wɔ mmarima nguamanfo a wɔtete abosonnan mu.
They die in their youth; They close their lives with the unclean.
15 Nanso wɔn a wohu amane no, ogye wɔn; na ɔkasa kyerɛ wɔn wɔ wɔn haw mu.
But he delivereth the poor in their distress; He openeth their ears in affliction.
16 “Ɔregye wo afi ahohia mu de wo akɔ beae a hɔ bae a ahokyere nni, nea wowɔ asomdwoe, na nnuan pa ayɛ wo pon so ma.
He will bring thee also from the jaws of distress To a broad place, where is no straitness; And the provision of thy table shall be full of fatness.
17 Nanso mprempren, atemmu a ɛfata amumɔyɛfo na aba wo so; atemmu ne atɛntrenee aso wo mu.
But if thou art full of the judgment of the wicked, Judgment and justice shall take hold of thee.
For if wrath be with him, beware lest he take thee away by his stroke, So that a great ransom shall not save thee!
19 Wʼahonya anaasɛ mpo wʼahohia bebrebe nyinaa nti, worenkɔ amanehunu mu ana?
Will he esteem thy riches? No! neither thy gold, nor all the abundance of thy wealth.
20 Mpere anadwo ho, sɛ ammɛpra nnipa mfi wɔn afi mu.
Long not thou for that night To which nations are taken away from their place.
Take heed, turn not thine eyes to iniquity! For this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
22 “Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔkɛse wɔ ne tumi mu. Hena na ɔyɛ ɔkyerɛkyerɛfo sɛ ɔno?
Behold, God is exalted in his power: Who is a teacher like him?
23 Hena na wahyehyɛ nʼakwan ama no anaa waka akyerɛ no se, ‘Woayɛ mfomso.’
Who hath prescribed to him his way? Or who can say to him, “Thou hast done wrong”?
Forget not to magnify his work, Which men celebrate with songs.
25 Adesamma nyinaa ahu; nnipa fi akyirikyiri hwɛ no haa.
All mankind gaze upon it; Mortals behold it from afar.
26 Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔkɛse, ɛboro yɛn ntease so! Ne mfe dodow mu nni hwehwɛbea.
Behold, God is great; we cannot know him, Nor search out the number of his years.
27 “Ɔtwetwe nsu a ɛsosɔ, ma ɛdan osu gu nsuten mu;
Lo! he draweth up the drops of water, Which distil rain from his vapor;
28 na omununkum tɔ obosu gu fam na osu pete mmoroso gu adesamma so.
The clouds pour it down, And drop it upon man in abundance.
29 Hena na obetumi ate sɛnea ɔtrɛtrɛw omununkum mu no ase, sɛnea ɔbobɔ mu fi ne suhyɛ ase no?
Who can understand the spreading of his clouds, And the rattling of his pavilion?
30 Hwɛ sɛnea ɔhwete nʼanyinam mu wɔ ne ho ma ɛkɔ po bun mu.
Behold, he spreadeth around himself his light, And he clotheth himself with the depths of the sea.
31 Eyi ne ɔkwan a ɔfa so di amanaman no so na ɔma aduan bu wɔn so.
By these he punisheth nations, And by these he giveth food in abundance.
His hands he covereth with lightning; He giveth it commandment against an enemy.
33 Nʼaprannaa bɔ ahum a ɛreba no ho nkae; na anantwi mpo ma wohu sɛ ɛreba.
His thunder maketh him known; Yea, to the herds, as he ascendeth on high.
