< Hiob 35 >
2 “Wugye di sɛ, eyi fata? Woka se, ‘Onyankopɔn betwitwa agye me.’
"Do you think this to be your right, or do you say, 'My righteousness is more than God's,'
3 Nanso wubisa no se, ‘Mfaso bɛn na menya, na sɛ manyɛ bɔne a, mfaso bɛn na menya?’
That you ask, 'What advantage will it be to you? What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?'
4 “Mepɛ sɛ mibua wo ne wo nnamfonom nyinaa.
I will answer you, and your companions with you.
5 Ma wʼani so kyerɛ soro na hwɛ; hwɛ omununkum a ɛwɔ wʼatifi sorosoro nohɔ.
Look to the heavens, and see. See the skies, which are higher than you.
6 Sɛ woyɛ bɔne a, ɔkwan bɛn so na ɛfa haw no? Mpo sɛ wo bɔne dɔɔso a, nsunsuanso bɛn na enya wɔ ne so?
If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him? If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
7 Sɛ woteɛ a, dɛn na wode ma no anaasɛ dɛn na onya fi wo nsam?
If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive from your hand?
8 Wʼamumɔyɛ ka onipa a ɔte sɛ wo na wo trenee ka nnipa mma nko ara.
Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are, and your righteousness may profit a son of man.
9 “Nnipa su bere a wɔhyɛ wɔn so; na wɔsrɛ mmoa fi nea ɔwɔ tumi nsam.
"By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out. They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10 Nanso obi mmisa se, ‘Ɛhe na Onyankopɔn, me Yɛfo no wɔ, nea ɔma nnwom anadwo no,
But none says, 'Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,
11 nea ɔkyerɛ yɛn nimdeɛ bebree sen asase so mmoa na ɔma yehu nyansa sen wim nnomaa no?’
who teaches us more than the animals of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?'
12 Sɛ nnipa su teɛ mu a, ommua, amumɔyɛfo ahantan nti.
There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13 Ampa ara Onyankopɔn rentie wɔn nkotosrɛ hunu no; na Otumfo remmu.
Surely God will not hear an empty cry, neither will Shaddai regard it.
14 Ɛno de adɛn na ɔrentie bere a woka se wunhu no, na woka se wʼasɛm wɔ nʼanim enti ɛsɛ sɛ wotwɛn no,
How much less when you say you do not see him. The cause is before him, and you wait for him.
15 na bio, nʼabufuw mmfa asotwe mma na nʼani nni amumɔyɛsɛm akyi pii?
But now, because he has not visited in his anger, neither does he greatly regard arrogance.
16 Enti Hiob bue nʼano ka nsɛnhunu; nimdeɛ a onni nti, ɔkeka nsɛm bebree.”
Therefore Job opens his mouth with empty talk, and he multiplies words without knowledge."
