< Hiob 23 >
2 “Nnɛ mpo, mʼanwiinwii mu da so yɛ den; ne nsa ayɛ den, mʼapinisi nyinaa akyi.
"Even today my complaint is rebellious. His hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.
3 Sɛ minim baabi a mehu no; anaasɛ metumi akɔ ne tenabea a
Oh that I knew where I might find him. That I might come even to his seat.
4 anka mɛka mʼasɛm wɔ nʼanim na magye akyinnye bebree.
I would set my cause in order before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 Anka mɛte mmuae a ɔde bɛma me, na madwen nea ɔbɛka ho.
I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would tell me.
6 Ɔbɛsɔre atia me dennen ana? Dabi, ɔremmɔ me kwaadu.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No, but he would listen to me.
7 Ɛhɔ de, nnipa trenee betumi aka nʼasɛm wɔ nʼanim, na wobegye me afi me temmufo nsam afebɔɔ.
There the upright might reason with him, so I should be delivered forever from my judge.
8 “Nanso sɛ mekɔ apuei fam a onni hɔ; sɛ mekɔ atɔe fam nso a minhu no.
"If I go east, he is not there; if west, I can't find him;
9 Sɛ ɔreyɛ adwuma wɔ atifi fam a minhu no; sɛ ɔdan ne ho kɔ anafo fam a, mʼani nhye ne ho.
He works to the north, but I can't see him. He turns south, but I can't catch a glimpse of him.
10 Nanso onim ɔkwan a menam so; na sɛ ɔsɔ me hwɛ a mepue sɛ sikakɔkɔɔ.
But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall come forth like gold.
11 Madi nʼanammɔn akyi pɛɛ; na manantew nʼakwan so a mamman.
My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned aside.
12 Mentwee me ho mfii mmara nsɛm a efi nʼanom no ho, mama asɛm a efi nʼanom ho ahia me asen me daa aduan.
I haven't gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
13 “Nanso obiara nni hɔ ka ne ho, na hena na obetumi atia no? Ɔyɛ biribiara a ɔpɛ.
But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does.
14 Ɔde ne mmaransɛm di dwuma tia me; ɔda so kora nhyehyɛe a ɛte sɛɛ bebree.
For he performs that which is appointed for me. Many such things are with him.
15 Ɛno nti na mebɔ hu wɔ nʼanim; na sɛ midwen eyinom nyinaa ho a, misuro no.
Therefore I am terrified at his presence. When I consider, I am afraid of him.
16 Onyankopɔn ama me koma abotow; Otumfo ama mabɔ huboa.
For God has made my heart faint. Shaddai has terrified me.
17 Nanso sum no mma menka mʼano nto mu, sum kabii a ɛkata mʼanim no.
Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither did he cover the thick darkness from my face.
