< Hiob 19 >

1 Na Hiob buae se,
Then Job answered and said,
2 “Mobɛhyɛ me ɔyaw na mode nsɛm abubu me akosi da bɛn?
How long will you vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.
3 Mpɛn du ni a moasopa me; mo ani nwu sɛ motow hyɛ me so.
You speak against me; you do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.
4 Sɛ ɛyɛ nokware sɛ mafom ɔkwan a, me mfomso yɛ me nko ara asɛm.
Yes verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.
5 Sɛ ampa sɛ mobɛma mo ho so asen me na mode mʼanimguase ayɛ adanse atia me a,
But alas! for you magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.
6 ɛno de munhu sɛ Onyankopɔn ayɛ me bɔne na ɔde ne tan atwa me ho ahyia.
Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.
7 “Ɛwɔ mu, misu se, ‘Wɔafom me’ de, nanso obiara mmua me; meteɛ mu pɛ mmoa, nanso atɛntrenee biara nni hɔ.
Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgment.
8 Wasiw me kwan enti mintumi nsen; ɔde sum aduru mʼakwan so.
I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.
9 Wayi mʼanuonyam afi me so na watu mʼahenkyɛw afi me ti so.
And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.
10 Wasɛe me akwannuasa nyinaa so de awie me; watu mʼanidaso ase te sɛ dua.
He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.
11 Nʼabufuw huru tia me; na wakan me afra nʼatamfo mu.
And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.
12 Nʼakofo ba anibere so; wosisi mpie de tia me na wotwa me ntamadan ho hyia.
His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.
13 “Wayi me nuabarimanom afi me ho; na mʼamanifo atwe wɔn ho koraa.
My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognized strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.
14 Mʼabusuafo kɔ; na me nnamfonom werɛ afi me.
My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.
15 Mʼahɔho ne me mmaawa bu me sɛ ɔhɔho; mete sɛ ɔnanani ma wɔn.
[As for] my household, and my maidservants, I was a stranger before them.
16 Mefrɛ me somfo, na ommua; mpo, metew mʼano srɛ no.
I called my servant, and he listened not; and my mouth entreated [him].
17 Me home bɔn me yere; me ho afono mʼankasa nuabarimanom.
And I implored my wife, and earnestly entreated the sons of my concubines.
18 Mpo, mmarimaa nkumaa bu me animtiaa; sɛ mipue a wodi me ho fɛw.
But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.
19 Me nnamfo ankasa nyinaa kyi me; mʼadɔfo asɔre atia me.
They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.
20 Maka were ne nnompe, nea mede aguan nkutoo ne me se akyi nam.
My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.
21 “Munhu me mmɔbɔ, me nnamfonom, munhu mmɔbɔ, na Onyankopɔn nsa abɔ me.
Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.
22 Adɛn nti na motaa me sɛnea Onyankopɔn yɛ no? Na mommfa me honam yi saa ara?
Therefore do you persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 “Ao, sɛ anka wɔde me nsɛm bɛhyɛ nhoma mu, anka wɔbɛkyerɛw wɔ nhoma mmobɔwee so,
For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,
24 anka wɔde dade pɛe bɛkyerɛw wɔ sumpii so, anaa wobekuruakyerɛw wɔ ɔbotan so afebɔɔ!
with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!
25 Minim sɛ me dimafo te ase, na awiei no ɔbɛsɔre agyina asase so.
For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,
26 Na wɔasɛe me were awie no, mefi me were mu ahu Onyankopɔn.
[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;
27 Me ara mehu no mede mʼani, na ɛnyɛ obi foforo ani, behu no. Sɛnea me koma ho pere wɔ me mu!
which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.
28 “Sɛ moka se, ‘Yɛbɛteetee no, efisɛ ɔhaw no fi ɔno ara a,’
But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?
29 ɛsɛ sɛ mo ankasa musuro afoa no na abufuw nam afoa so de asotwe bɛba, na mubehu sɛ atemmu wɔ hɔ.”
Do you also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
