< Yeremia 27 >
1 Yudahene Yosia babarima Sedekia adedi mfiase no, asɛm yi fi Awurade hɔ baa Yeremia nkyɛn se,
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
2 Sɛɛ na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me: “Fa mmeamdua ne nkyehama yɛ konnua sɛn wo kɔn mu.
Thus says Jehovah to me: Make thee bonds and bars, and put them upon thy neck.
And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the sons of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
And give them a charge to their masters, saying, Thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus ye shall say to your masters:
5 Mede me tumi kɛse ne me basa a mateɛ mu yɛɛ asase ne so nnipa ne mmoa a wɔwɔ so, na mede ma obiara a mepɛ.
I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and I give it to whom it seems right to me.
6 Afei mede mo aman nyinaa bɛhyɛ mʼakoa Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar nsa, na mede wuram mmoa mpo bɛhyɛ nʼase.
And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. And the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.
And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman.
8 “‘Nanso sɛ ɔman bi anaa ahenni bi rensom Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar anaa wɔremfa wɔn kɔn nhyɛ ne konnua ase a, mede afoa, ɔkɔm ne ɔyaredɔm bɛtwe saa ɔman no aso, kosi sɛ mede ne nsa bɛsɛe no, Awurade na ose.
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish, says Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9 Ɛno nti munntie mo adiyifo, mo nkɔmhyɛfo, mo adae asekyerɛfo, mo samanfrɛfo anaa mo ntafowayifo a wɔka kyerɛ mo se, “Morensom Babiloniahene.”
But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon.
10 Wɔhyɛ mo atoro nkɔm a ɛbɛma wɔayi mo afi mo asase so akɔ akyirikyiri nko ara; mɛpam mo ama mo ase ayera.
For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
11 Nanso sɛ ɔman biara de ne kɔn bɛhyɛ Babiloniahene konnua no ase na wasom no a, mɛma saa ɔman no aka ɔno ara asase so na wadɔw so atena so, Awurade, na ose.’”
But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation I will let remain in their own land, says Jehovah, and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12 Mede saa nkra koro no ara kɔmaa Yudahene Sedekia se, “Momfa mo kɔn nhyɛ Babiloniahene konnua ase na monsom ɔno ne ne nkurɔfo na mubenya nkwa.
And I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13 Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ wo ne wo nkurɔfo wuwu wɔ afoa, ɔkɔm ne ɔyaredɔm ano, sɛnea Awurade de ahunahuna ɔman biara a ɔmpɛ sɛ ɔsom Babiloniahene no?
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14 Munntie adiyifo no a wɔka kyerɛ mo se, ‘Morensom Babiloniahene,’ efisɛ wɔhyɛ mo atoro nkɔm.
And hearken not to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon, for they prophesy a lie to you.
15 ‘Mensomaa wɔn’ Awurade na ose. ‘Wɔhyɛ atoro nkɔm wɔ me din mu. Enti mɛpam mo na moayera, mo ne adiyifo a wɔhyɛ mo nkɔm no.’”
For I have not sent them, says Jehovah, but they prophesy falsely in my name, that I may drive you out, and that ye may perish, ye, and the prophets who prophesy to you.
Wɔhyɛ atoro nkɔm kyerɛ mo.
Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon, for they prophesy a lie to you.
17 Munntie wɔn. Monsom Babiloniahene na mubenya nkwa. Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ saa kuropɔn yi sɛe?
Hearken not to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?
But if they are prophets, and if the word of Jehovah is with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, not go to Babylon.
19 Na sɛɛ na Asafo Awurade ka fa kɔbere mfrafrae afadum, po, nnyinaso a wotumi pia ne nneɛma a wɔde siesie dan mu no a aka wɔ kuropɔn yi mu no ho.
For thus says Jehovah of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the stands, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,
20 Nea Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar amfa ankɔ bere a ɔbɛfaa Yudahene Yehoiakim babarima Yehoiakyin ne Yuda ne Yerusalem mmapɔmma fii Yerusalem kɔɔ nkoasom mu wɔ Babilonia no.
which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem.
21 Yiw, nea Asafo Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, ka fa nneɛma a aka wɔ Awurade fi, Yudahene ahemfi ne Yerusalem no ho no ni:
Yea, thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
22 ‘Wɔbɛfa akɔ Babilonia, na hɔ na ɛbɛka kosi da a mɛba abɛfa,’ Awurade na ose. ‘Afei mede nneɛma no bɛsan aba bio abesisi wɔn sibea wɔ ha.’”
They shall be carried to Babylon, and there they shall be until the day that I visit them, says Jehovah. Then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.
